When a comic is released, how long after it are we allowed to release banners/avatars related to it?

The two weeks the spoiler tags are required, or before/after that?

Good question; not sure if a spoiler tag fits in a sig or not. But the policy applies to sigs. So if spoiler tags are still required, the banner can't be displayed without them. Banners are a major way things like Matoro's death spoiled a lot of people, so they can't reasonably be given an exception.

So I suppose the answer is, as soon as we announce the comic, you can technically release banners and avs, but you should remind people of the spoiler tag rules in the process. Personally I would wait so that you aren't giving staff more headaches when people inevitably ignore your reminders though. Also spoilertagging a banner seems a bit odd in general. Best to wait.

I understand banners with text and all spoiling stuff, but a simple banner which is just a picture from the comic, is that not allowed either?

The rule is all about spoilers. If the image doesn't spoil anything about the storyline, it's fine. Like just a picture of the character for example for character banners would be okay.
