A little more than a week ago I announced that I was a guest of the LEGO Company at their HQ in Enfield, CT. Today I’m going to start a series of reports on exactly what LEGO HQ is like, what kind of stuff they do there, and what I got while I was there in terms of product and information. For today, I’ll start off with the place itself.

Please post your comments, questions, or feedback about this story here.

This is neat! I wonder if you saw any Bionicle prototypes...

You got to meet Greg F? You're lucky. And everyone knows lunch is the most important thing in work.

BR, thanks for the wonderful peek into the universe of LEGO! I love all those LEGO brick statues everywhere. It's fitting for a company whose business is imagination to have a cool sense of humor! happy.gif I'm looking forward to reading more.

Woah, look at all those people made entirely out of legoes! I wonder who built them... Anyway, I read the whole thing! It was very interesting, but...

Did you get to see any Bionicle Prototypes there? Hm?

Well, this was very interesting. Considering i'm half asleep, it will probably be more interesting when i'm totally awake. Wells here is the points of aspect(just a bunch of questions) that i've noticed.

1. Lunch should always be BIG AND IMPORTANT in any office.
2. You said something about products....did you get to keep anything?
3. Those Brick Models must take a while, did you happen to find out how long?
4. Is Greg as cool as we all think he is?
5. Were you given any info on the rest of the Bionicle storyline.
6. How do i get a tour, and eat lunch, and all the things you did<i am serious, because vacation is right around the corner rolleyes.gif > just PM me about it if you care to...

Well hope they are answered, and i can't wait till the next review!

Wow, B-Rex, that's SO awesome! biggrin.gif I never knew the Lego HQ was so...wonderful! smile.gif

I loved seeing all those pictures...those Lego statues are exquisitely designed! I wonder who designs them...statues even in the lunchroom! And speaking of lunch...wow, that's the place to be! I gotta work there when I'm older! tongue.gif

Thanks for the great article! I can't wait to see what you talked about with the Lego employees...and with GregF!

As much of a Bionicle fan as I am, and as cool as that Turahk poster is, my favorite picture in that article is the Classic Space statue in the breakroom. Classic Space is one of my all-time favorite themes.

Enfield... Enfield... where.... Enfield! Isn't that the town they make those chocolate soda's in? I'm almost sure of it!

Anyways... it's a pity that's so far away... I'd love to work for them. *sigh*
It all sounds so corporate... the sign ins, the power lunches... lol. I hope you got a chance to address some of the more obvious fan-requested type stuff. I'm not going to hold my breath in thinking there was glowing receptiveness to some of the issues. wink.gif

Canfield... I think it was Canfield Connecticut where the chocolate soda comes from. Ah well.
