Fact List
  • Before Metru Nui, Takua lived with the other Av-Matoran, first in their homeland, then in Karda Nui, then in their homeland again.
  • On Metru Nui, Takua was disguised as a Ta-Matoran by the Order of Mata Nui during the timeslip so he could become a Toa of Light in the case that the Makuta of Metru Nui became evil.
  • During his life on Metru Nui, Takua ran a small side business known as "Takua's Trade Goods".
  • On Mata Nui Takua was the Chronicler and participated in many important events such as summoning the Toa.
  • After finding the Kanohi Avohkii, mask of Light, Takua adventured all around the island and eventually became Takanuva, Toa of Light.
  • As a Toa, Takanuva fought and defeated the Makuta of Metru Nui after merging with him and becoming Takutanuva.
  • As Takutanuva, Takanuva brought Jaller back to life.
  • After a Shadow Leech attack by Makuta Icarax, Takanuva became a Toa of Light and Shadow, controlling light with his left hand and shadow from his right.
  • Sometime after the Dark Mirror web serial, Takanuva's size will increase due to exposure of energies in Karda Nui.
  • This energy only affects Av-Matoran and Toa.
  • Takanuva is currently in an alternate universe.
  • After the Shadow Leech attack, Takanuva has half light elemental energy and half shadow elemental energy. If he uses his shadow energy too much, he may become inclined to only use shadow.
  • By the time Takanuva reaches Karda Nui, he will be able to fly. This is the affect of a virus an alternate version of Makuta Krika infected Takanuva with in the Dark Mirror alternate universe. The virus's affects are temporary only and will last until the end of BIONICLE Legends #11: The Final Battle.
  • Takanuva's Kanohi Avohkii is unaffected by the Shadow Leech attack.
  • During BIONICLE Legends #10: Swamp of Secrets, Takanuva acquires the Sundial which Toa Lewa transported from Mata Nui to the Metru Nui Archives. Takanuva carries the Sundial during the events of the Dark Mirror web serial. The Sundial has been shrunk by a shrink Kanoka disk.
  • Solek and Takua were once friends when Takua was still and Av-Matoran in Karda Nui. Takua has since forget this friendship.
  • The story of how Takanuva acquires his Power Lance will probably be a BZP exclusive.
  • Takanuva's sundial is related to getting back to the normal Bionicle universe.

Timeline -

Takua
  • Takua leaves his homeland with the other Av-Matoran and colonizes Karda Nui.
  • Returns to his homeland.
  • During the Time Slip the Order of Mata Nui help disguise Takua as a Ta-Matoran and plant him in Metru Nui (he is now the only Av-Matoran in Metru Nui and he doesn't know it).
  • In Metru Nui Takua is a toolmaker and also runs a small side business known as "Takua's Trade Goods", selling souvenirs from his travels around Metru Nui.
  • Takua's original mask is broken and replaced with a mask shaped like great Paraki which doesn't fit well. The Kanohi becomes blue when worn as the colour wasn't locked as with his previous mask.
  • Takua, along with the other Matoran of Metru Nui is tricked by the Makuta of Metru Nui disguised as Turaga Dume and is sealed inside a capsule and kept asleep. The capsule caused him, along with the other Matoran to lose their memories.
  • Due to not being content with staying in his village and working, Takua is banished from his home of
    Ta-Koro.
  • During this time of exile, Takua rescues the six Turaga, their staffs and the six Toa stones from Makuta's Rahi.
  • Takua is told to take the six Toa stones to the Kini-Nui and place them around the Kini-Nui.
  • After placing the Toa Stones, Takua is blasted into the air by a powerful blast of energy that would summon the Toa.
  • Takua wakes on the same beach Toa Tahu arrives on with no memory.
  • Takua follows Tahu through the Charred Forest and rediscovers his home, Ta-Koro, where he was told the other Matoran did not trust him and he was not welcome back yet.
  • Takua wanders back to the beach where he finds a distressed Ga-Matoran named Maku. Maku tells him that Ga-Koro, her village, had been attacked by the Makuta's Rahi and she had fled.
  • Takua takes Maku's boat back to Ga-Koro while Maku searches for Toa Gali.
  • In Ga-Koro, Takua rescues the population of Ga-Koro from underwater, but is then attacked by one of Makuta's Rahi, a Tarakava.
  • Toa Gali arrives in time and saves the village.
  • Takua next travels to the desert village of Po-Koro, where he finds most of the population is plagued by a mysterious disease.
  • After some investigating, Takua discovers that the source of the plague is a new brand of Kohlii ball (a popular Matoran sport) that has been infected by Makuta.
  • Takua travels to a cave where the source of the Kohlii balls is being infected by an infected Kanohi. The pile of balls is guarded by a Nui-Jaga, but with Toa Pohatu's help, Takua exposes the Kohlii balls and they are sent to the ocean.
  • Turaga Onewa of Po-Koro hands Takua a stone chisel and told to take it to Turaga Nokama in Ga-Koro.
  • Upon showing Turaga Nokama the stone chisel, Takua is appointed the new Chronicler and is handed the Book of Chronicles, which is used to chronicle the events he witnesses.
  • Continuing his adventures, Takua travels to Onu-Koro where a lightstone mine has been cut off by a lava flow, preventing a new tunnel to Le-Koro being completed. Using his old lava board, Takua surfs across the lava and drains the lava, allowing lightstone mining to continue again and letting work on the tunnel to Le-Koro continue.
  • Takua also learns of a mysterious sundial at the bottom of one of the Onu-Koro mines. He journeys to Ga-Koro to retrieve a gonmon to complete the sundial. After using a light stone, Takua discovers that something is meant to happen at four o'clock
  • Now journeying to the newly made Le-Koro Highway, Takua meets Taipu who convinces him to take him on his adventures to Le-Koro.
  • Taipu is attacked by a Nui-Rama and carried back to the hive.
  • After arriving at Le-Koro, Takua is told that some of the Le-Koro population, including Turaga Matau, had been taken by the Nui-Rama to their hive. Toa Lewa had also been missing.
  • After Takua helped Kongu (Captain of the Le-Koro Gukko Force), he finds all the missing Le-Matoran, as well as Turaga Matau. Takua also discovers that Toa Lewa is being controlled by Makuta through an infected Kanohi, but is later subdued by Toa Onua.
  • Now in Ko-Koro, Takua rescues a Matoran named Kopeke from nearly freezing to death. In the actual village of Ko-Koro, Takua wishes to talk to Turaga Nuju (who at the time, speaks in a language consisting only of clicks and whistles), but is unable to as his translator, Matoro, is missing in the snow drifts.
  • Following flags set by Matoro, but is affected by the cold and set into a state of unconsciousness, but is awakened by Matoro. The two Matoran are then attacked by a Muaka which is defeated by Toa Kopaka.
  • Now safe in Ko-Koro, Matoro is now able to translate Turaga Nuju's wisdom for Takua. Nuju burdens Takua with the mission of finding a Matoran from each village to help defend the great temple, Kini-Nui, while the Toa Mata battle Makuta underneath it.
  • Takua's group, also known as the Chronicler's Company, is now made up of Maku, Kopeke, Kapura, Hafu, Taipu and Tamaru..
  • At the Kini-Nui, the Matoran witness entering the temple by joining the Makoki Stones and starts to receive visions from Toa Gali (who had previously made a mind link with him), which show him the Toa joining into the two Toa Kaita and fighting the Manas.
  • The Chronicler's Company battles the Makuta's Rahi, who try and attack the Kini-Nui, but are eventually defeated when battle forces from Le-Koro, Onu-Koro and Ta-Koro arrive and win the battle.
  • After the fight, Onepu, who was leading the Onu-Koro Ussalry, tells Takua of strange events involving the Sundial in Onua-Koro. Taking his Ussal Crab, Puku, Takua travels to the sundial, which has turned into an elevator, which he enters.
  • The lift turns out to lead to Makuta's lair, where Takua witnesses the Toa Mata defeating Makuta.
  • Minutes after the Makuta's defeat, Takua also witnesses the awakening of the Bohrok swarms. To escape, Takua inserts the stone chisel Turaga Onewa gave him into a stone pedestal, which then generates a force field which carries Takua to the beach where he first awoke after losing his memory.
  • On the beach, Takua meets Turaga Vakama who tells him that he is now welcome back in Ta-Koro because of his brave deeds.
  • During the Bohrok wars, Takua helped save Le-Koro's population from the mind control of the Krana and helped defend Ga-Koro from the Pahrak.
  • After the Bohrok Kal's attack, the Turaga of Mata Nui held a Naming Day celebration for the heroes of the struggle. Jaller, Macku and Hewkii were awarded with new names (previously Jala, Maku and Huki), but all Takua received was the task of writing the history of these struggles of the new Wall of History. Disgruntled, Takua held his own Naming Day celebration and renamed his Ussal Crab, Puku to Pewku.
  • After these events, Takua was to take place in the island-wide Kohlii tournament, but before the final match, he wandered off into a lava tunnel.
  • In the lava tunnel, Takua discovers the Great Kanohi Mask of Light, the Avohkii. Before he can look at it properly, Jaller appears and reminds him that they're meant to be at the Kohlii tournament final.
  • After losing dismally to Ga-Koro and Po-Koro, the mask is accidentally revealed to the Turaga after falling out of Jaller's bag.
  • When Takua makes the light appear to be shining on Jaller, the Turaga charge Jaller as the Herald of the mask, his new task being to find the seventh Toa, Toa of Light and give him the Avohkii. Takua is dragged along to record Jaller's adventure.
  • After leaving Ta-Koro (which was destroyed by Makuta's Rahkshi later), the two travel to Le-Koro on Pewku following the Avohkii. In Le-Wahi, Jaller and Takua are attacked by an Ash Bear, but rescued by Lewa Nuva, who helps them follow the mask by giving them a Gukko to fly to Ko-Koro (Pewku is sadly left behind as a result). Before he departs, Lewa informs the Matoran that their home, Ta-Koro, had been destroyed by Makuta's minions, the Rahkshi.
  • After walking in circles in Ko-Wahi, the two Matoran stumble on Kopaka who takes them to Ko-Koro. Upon arrival, it becomes apparent that the village had been attacked by Rahkshi. Jaller and Takua are then attacked by the Rahkshi, but are defeated by Kopaka. After the struggle, Kopaka departs to help out his own village. During this time, Pewku rejoins the story after traveling all the way from Le-Wahi.
  • The duo now take a tunnel in Ko-Wahi to Onu-Koro. During this journey, Takua is confronted by Makuta, who tells him that if he does not give the mask to him, all of his friends will die. Takua says no, but tells Jaller that he can no longer work with him and leaves with Pewku to Onu-Koro, while Jaller takes a different route.
  • Greeted in Onu-Koro by Toa Onua and Pohatu, the village is attacked by Rahkshi, who are searching for the real herald. The Toa manage to hold the Rahkshi back while the Matoran escape.
  • Jaller and Takua are reunited near the Kini-Nui, where they are attacked by more Rahkshi. In the following struggle, the Toa Nuva fight off all but one Rahkshi. The remaining Rahkshi attacks and kills Jaller. In his dying words, Jaller tells Takua that he was always different. It is now that Takua realises that he is the seventh Toa. Placing the Kanohi over his face, Takua becomes Takanuva, Toa of Light. With his new powers, Takanuva defeats the last Rahkshi and mourns Jaller's death.
Takanuva
  • The seven Toa create a vehicle called the Ussanui, which is powered by Kraata (essence of Makuta, the mind of a Rahkshi) which will also guide the Ussanui back to their master.
  • Takanuva journeys alone to Makuta's lair on the Ussanui, but is surprised to find that Hahli (now the new Chronicler) has smuggled aboard. Takanuva agrees to let her record the events to come.
  • Facing Makuta, Takanuva sends Hahli to summon the Turaga and Matoran of Mata Nui to witness this epic battle.
  • Makuta shows Takanuva a giant stone door which is carved in the shape of a great Kanohi Hau, which apparently will allow the first steps to awaken Mata Nui to take place. Makuta then continues to say that the two will have a game of Kohlii, if Takanuva wins, he cant try to open the door, if he loses, Makuta gets the Avohkii.
  • Just before the match starts, the population of Mata Nui arrives and Makuta traps them all in his lair. During the Kohlii match, Takanuva jumps onto Makuta and grabs his mask and rips it off, then replacing it with his own. During this confusion, the two fall into a pool of Energized Protodermis, which transforms them into one being, Takutanuva. Takanuva's personality overrides Makuta's and Takutanuva lifts the massive stone door. While all the Matoran and Turaga rush under the door, Takutanuva sees Hahli running through with Jaller's mask. Giving up some of his own life force, Takutanuva brings Jaller back to life. This huge drain in energy causes Takutanuva to lose strength and the door falls on top of him crushing both Takanuva and Makuta.
  • Takanuva is brought back to life by the Turaga from his Avohkii and the population of Mata Nui prepares to travel back to the home they'd forgotten, Metru Nui. During this rest, the Toa and several Matoran listen to the Turaga's tales of Metru Nui and learn about life in the domed universe.
  • On Metru Nui, Takanuva helps repair the city, but when Nuju and Vakama tell the seven Toa that the Great Spirit Mata Nui is not just sleeping, but dying, he attempts to go with the six Toa Nuva to find the Kanohi Ignika, mask of Life to save him. Turaga Dume tells Takanuva however, that he is to stay and defend Metru Nui.
  • Disgruntled after the Toa Nuva not having returned yet, Takanuva leaves with Jaller, Kongu Hewkii, Hahli, Nuparu and Matoro to search for the Toa Nuva. During their journey outside the realm of Karzahni, the seven travelers encountered a gate that would allow no light to enter. As a result, Takanuva is forced to head back to Metru Nui.
  • While the now Toa Inika/Mahri battle for the universe, Takanuva has had to deal with three problems, one he did not know about.
  • A Dark Hunter named Dweller who has been assigned to attack Takanuva when he is at his weakest has been hiding in the Archives.
  • A Makuta named Icarax was spotted in the Silver Sea searching for the Kanohi Kraahkan. Takanuva arrived too late to stop him and Icarax got away with the Kraahkan.
  • Takanuva has had to battle several Frostelus who have been attacking Metru Nui.

Dark Mirror

For a textual copy of the Dark Mirror web serial, please click here. Discussion of the web serial itself, please continue in the Official Web Serial Topic.
  • Dark Mirror begins after Takanuva has been attacked by Shadow Leeches sent by Makuta Icarax. The result of which leaves Takanuva being able to use light and shadow elemental powers, shadow from his right and light from his left. The reason he did not become all shadow is that and an Order of Mata Nui agent intervened.
  • After the attack, Brutaka sends attempts to send Takanuva to Karda Nui to deliver an important message to the Toa Nuva. What Brutaka doesn't know is that his Kanohi Olmak which he used to teleport Takanuva was damaged, resulting in Takanuva ending up in an alternate version of Metru Nui.
  • After meeting an alternate version of Kapura, Takanuva encounters evil versions of the Toa Mata and learns that in this universe, the BIONICLE world is controlled by the evil Toa Empire and it's master, Toa Tuyet.
  • Tahu and Kopaka take Takanuva to a prison where he meets the alternate version of himself, who is still a Matoran. Takanuva learns from himself that Toa Tuyet came to power when Toa Lhikan and Toa Nidhiki failed to prevent her from obtaining the Nui Stone.
  • Takanuva and Takua then escape from the prison (using Takanuva's powers) and head to the archives where they find an alternate version of Turaga Dume who was trapped inside a stasis container.
  • Takanuva tells Takua and a protesting Turaga Dume that he is looking for a Rahi named Krahka, but is interrupted by a figure who looks like Toa Tuyet.
  • After taking them to a large chamber, inhabited by beings in black armour. The fake Toa Tuyet reveals herself to be the Makuta of Metru Nui, who is not wearing the Kanohi Kraahkan as Toa Tuyet has kept it from him. Takanuva tells the various Makuta (including the Makuta of Artakha) that he needs to find a being named Brutaka to get back to his own universe. A Makuta named Krika tells him his location, but the Makuta of Metru Nui tells Takanuva that if they are let him go, he is to do a task for him. He then goes on to say that Takanuva is to attack an expedition of Matoran and two Toa, lead by a Matoran fanatic named Jaller (a friend of Takanuva in his old universe).
  • Krika infects Takanuva with a virus created by the Makuta that allows him to fly temporarily. Using this power, he journeys to Jaller's party where he encounters Toa Bomonga and Toa Kualus with the Matoran party. Attempting to avoid having to try and kill them, Takanuva pretends to have been asked to help guard the Vahi from Brutaka. It is then that Bomonga tells Takanuva that he killed Brutaka.
  • Takanuva asks the Toa where the Olmak was being kept, to find out that all Kanohi, armour and weapons of defeated enemies is stored in the Coliseum. Takanuva prepares to steal the Vahi and escape to Metru Nui when a blast of air knocks out the other two Toa. It turns out that an alternate version of Toa Lesovikk was responsible for the blast of air. Lesovikk says he didn't attack Takanuva because he could tell he wasn't like the others. He also says that he is the Toa Empire's most wanted.
  • Before attacking the Coliseum, Takanuva and Lesovikk headed to the Throne of Stone to see Pohatu for help. It is revealed to Takanuva that Pohatu has been working behind Tuyet's back and has been gathering support. The upcoming attack will be the big showdown in this alternate universe.

I think you should finish Dark Mirror on this, as well Have you read The Kingdom? Because that should be in this topic.

I also have my own little theory, we know if he uses shadow too much, he looses all light, and if he uses light too much, he'll be shadowed. Taka could use his midak and mask to prevent these, but if he shot himself with his Midak, would that give him more light, like recharging a battery?

Does shooting a Matoran of Shadow with a Midak heal them? No, it just hurts them. tongue.gif

Heh, i thought pumping enough light into them would cure them... Not to say shooting a Midak at a Kratoran isn't fun tongue.gif

So it would be very painful. Do you think Takanuva can reverse the Shadow Matoran back to their former selves?

I was wondering, what happened to the "U"?

When Takua became Takanuva, the "U" in his name went away. Where'd it go?

And why is "Nuva" attached to the "Taka" in Takanuva?

They story team got rid of the U so that we wouldn't immediately know that Takua was the Toa of Light
He has Nuva attached to his name to symbolise his connection with the Toa Nuva

hi guys. Have any of u wondered what takanuva's destiny is?I have a crazy theory! I think the toa nuva will awaken matanui and survive the energy storm by hiding inside the codrex.
Then the makuta in karda nui will all die. the toa nuva will return to matanui, and takanuva will journey to another universe in 2009 to capture teridax, who had
fled the motoran universe. takanuva would meet the beings in that universe(no spioler names)and help them with thier battle, then he'd defeat teridax once and
for all. then he'd go back to the motoran universe and find that the dark hunters had rebelled. takanuva would defeat them, then would sacrifice his light power
to save matanui who had been severly injured. THE GREAT BEINGS WILL COME THEN TURN TAKANUVA INTO A GREAT SPIRIT!!!!!!!. Takanuva would gaurd the universe with the great spirit
and then millions after billions of years later, takanuva would turn into a turaga then die peacfully.

P.S I know this theory is plain crazy and will never happen. However, I want to hear ur thoughts about takanuva's destiny!

Greg,
One question
All the other parellel dimisions takanuva went to were made by a choice(hesitating to save mata nui, etc.) Was there a choice that caused the JoT Universe.
thanks
-SK
JOT was not an alternative universe of the main one, it was a completely separate pocket dimension

Just saying, the JoT universe is not an alternate universe, its just a totally seperate pocket demision, like the field of darkness.

No, it's before or during DM, not after.

No, it's after. When he gets to Karda Nui is when he grows. DM is before that.
