Very good chapter, although you perhaps could have split it in two to make reading easier, it was sort of easier to read than some of the others because you hardly had any errors considering the length. I think the only things you need to keep an eye on are saying flew instead of flied, and a couple of similar things. Other than that your story is really cool and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. Don't worry, the chapters from now on are going to be shorter. I only made chapter #7 long in order to start off the summer, and because it's going to be the only chapter set in the Golden City for a while. Next chapter will be about Hikaru and the others fighting the robots in the jungle. So stay tuned! QUOTE Send the Cyclone Defender with Aero Booster’s booster pack attached to reinforce my position. I wrote it in for storyline purposes only. |

Yeah that's what was good, the strange bit was him being in the Keiken disguise and the Iron Crusher and stuff. It was only a bit strange, not too weird to understand what was happening. Remember this part in chapter 5? It was a black wire, tied between two branches connected to other wires. It is purely chance that Meca One happen to stand right in front of it on the moving Mobile Devastator. It caught in his neck, pulling him up and away from the Mobile Devastator. His weight triggered other wires and mechanics, hidden cleverly in the jungle branches. However, Meca One was not about to be defeated by a small trap. Putting his hands on the wire, he used his metallic limbs to lift his head from the wire, falling to the ground, which opened up to reveal a pit lined with blades in the bottom. No robot calculation would save him from this, as he fell and the blades stabbed right through his chest and limbs. So that Meca One was destroyed by that jungle trap. And a new Meca One was needed to command the Mobile Devastator. But how do we transport a new leader safely all the way from the robot's side of the Mountain to the Golden City jungle way down below? You use a powerful battle machine. Nothing like Iron Condors, Dark Panthers, Storm Lashers. You need a powerful battle machine to defend Meca One from any enemies who might try to attack. And the Iron Crusher was the best machine available. Simply because it has super-powerful weapons and has never been revealed storyline-wise. So the Iron Crusher is perfect for this. And about Meca One in Keiken's disguise, well, you'll find out why in later chapters. |

Chapter #11: Thoughts and Reality (Part 2)
Hayate looked at the communicator, surprised to see that it belonged to an Exo-Force member. This made him more aware that Exo-Force is up to something in this jungle, but what? With curiosity, he pressed the “start” button again on the communicator. This time, the screen changed to a menu, with 5 options to choose from: Recorded Video (Total #: 1): Press view button. Record Video: Press record button. Short-wave Long Range Communication: Press communicate #1 button. High Frequency Short range communication: Press communicate #2 button. Quit: Press exit button. Hayate looked, the one option that interested him the most is the recorded video, it may give him some answers to his questions. He immediately pressed the view button, and the screen changed to a scenery of the jungle. He could see glass in front of the camera; the video was most likely recorded in a battle machine’s cockpit. Around the cockpit were three more battle machines, their designs not familiar to Hayate. There was something strange about those battle machines, and the way they moved. He looked more carefully. A yellow and heavily armoured battle machine was walking beside the battle machine the video was recorded from. Up high were the two other machines, one flying, and the other jumping from branch to branch. Suddenly, an electronic label appeared over each battle machine, probably added by the video recorder. The label over the yellow battle machine said “Assault Tiger.” The label over the red flying machine said “River Dragon”. The label over the green machine that’s jumping from branch to branch said “Chameleon Hunter”. The only battle machine that isn’t labeled is the one that the video was recorded from. He looked into the battle machine’s control panel, and the words on it said “Hybrid Rescue Tank”. Clearly these battle machines aren’t of normal designs, their looks aren’t even close to the standard battle machines that humans use on the Mountain. Suddenly, the control panel changed color to red. A circle was drawn, with several dots in it. It looked like a radar. A dot was in the center, representing the Hybrid Rescue Tank. Three other dots were close to the center one, probably the three strange battle machines around the Tank. And a huge red dot appeared north of the battle machines, with a label on it that indicated “Mobile Devastator”. “Hey guys!” a voice shouted inside the cockpit of the Hybrid Rescue Tank, “my radar just detected the Mobile Devastator! It seems Meca One finally decided to take a break from running!” “Finally,” another voice said, mingled with static, possibly communicating from another battle machine, “I don’t know what we’d do without you, Ryo. Well, everyone get ready, prepare your weapons, we are going to see if Sensei is really on that huge metal box with wheels.” “You aren’t really thinking of actually fighting them, Hikaru?” said another voice over the static, “If Meca One knew we are following him, we won’t stand a chance.” “Don’t worry, Takeshi. I’d be insane if I was to do that. This is just a scouting mission, until we have enough data on the Mobile Devastator and Sensei’s condition, we are not going to strike them.” “Well, seeing that I’m the only one that’s flexible in the air,” yet another voice in the radio said, “I’m going to scout up high.” “Hold on, Hayato,” said Ryo, the pilot piloting the Hybrid Rescue Tank, “remember that the turret of this Tank can fly too? I’m coming with you. Besides, it’ll be quite impractical for me to bring a fully armoured tank just for a scouting mission.” With that, the cockpit suddenly became airborne. Hayate saw that the ground was far below them now. The bottom part of the Hybrid Rescue Tank, with its treads and wheel, now laid still. The flying turret now extended its wings, and the ignition sound of an engine roared, as the turret began flying after the River Dragon. “So what are we going to do?” the voice of Takeshi asked in the radio. “We’ll stay here on the ground,” said the voice of Hikaru, “Takeshi, guard the Hybrid Rescue Tank, it’s the only battle machine with the heavy weapons and armor, if we lose that, we might not be able to complete the mission. I’ll move on ahead using the Chameleon Hunter’s camouflage field, and back up Hayato and Ryo in the worst case if they are spotted. We’ll meet each other again here after half an hour.” “Gotcha,” said Ryo. Hayate watched as the turret flyer catch up to the River Dragon in a matter of seconds. As indicated by the radar, the Mobile Devastator isn’t far now. However, something new showed up on the control panel. It was a chart showing the various heat signatures emitted by nearby sources, and a huge spike was just created on the chart. Could this possibly mean that the Mobile Devastator… “Hayato, it looks like the Mobile Devastator have powered up again,” said Ryo into the cockpit’s message cylinder, “the River Dragon’s cockpit is positioned better than mine. Can you see what is going on?” “I see the Mobile Devastator, it sure isn’t moving,” said Hayato in the radio, “I can’t make everything out from this altitude, but it looks like there are some wooden structures in front of the Mobile Devastator, could it be a village?” “Impossible,” said Ryo, “Meca One would even go to so much trouble to destroy civilians with his war machine? We are going down there, we must find out what’s happening.” “All right,” responded Hayato. As they lowered their altitudes, more dots appeared on the radar, three of them are labelled. One of the labels indicated Grand Titan, and the other two indicated Stealth Hunters. “Could it be?” wondered Hayate as he watched the video. “Father? Mother? After a few seconds, the dot that indicated the Grand Titan disappeared next to another unlabled dot. There was no need to ask what happened, for Hayate knew it, the death of his father. Even when seen on radar, sadness welled up inside him, and tears began pouring out of the side of his eyes. “Father!” “We can’t let all of them die!” yelled Hayato in the radio, “we are going under the jungle canopy, we are engaging them.” Even as they said it, the turret flyer dived downwards. The cockpit now have a clear view of the scene below them, the smoke and flames from the burning huts, and the panicked villagers trying desperately to flee their homes, only to be killed mercilessly by the robot battle machines. The two remaining battle machines, the Stealth Hunters, soared down at the Mobile Devastators, weapons at the ready. “Hayato, Ryo, have you lost your minds?” cried the voice of Hikaru in the radio. “We can’t let the robots do this!” yelled Ryo into the message cylinder. “If we engage them,” said Hikaru, “we’ll risk Meca One discovering our presence, and that we are pursuing him. Have you given no thought? If he knew, he’ll prevent us from rescuing Sensei, and in the worst case scenario, kill him!” “You place Sensei’s life above a whole village?!” shouted Ryo. “Remember our mission!” continued Hikaru, “we are supposed to find that jungle outpost. Sensei’s the only one who might possibly know where it is. We must get there first, before Meca One does. If Sensei’s gone, then we would have failed the whole mission, we would have failed the whole Sentai Moutain! Don’t you understand? This is sacrificing the few, to save the many!” “He’s right,” Hayato’s voice cracked in the radio, “we are pulling out right now, Ryo.” “B-but…” “We are pulling out before it’s too late.” The River Dragon turned around, with the flyer still hovering in mid air. With regret, Ryo pulled out of the dive to the jungle beneath, and flied after the River Dragon. As the Golden City battle machines left the battle field, out of the corner of the cockpit, Hayate saw as the Mobile Devastator charge up its energy sphere launchers and fired, destroying the two Stealth Hunters, killing his mother. “Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Hayate couldn’t watch anymore, he threw the communicator hard to the ground, shattering its screen. It was too much seeing the destruction of his village again, yet more hurtful by seeing how Exo-Force responded to the robot attack. Exo-Force’s decision to not save his village astounded him. And just what is this jungle outpost anyway? Is it that important? That not even the lives of a village are more important than it? Don’t you understand? This is sacrificing the few, to save the many! Those words echoed in his mind. In Exo-Force’s point of view, people have to be sacrificed, in order to reach the greater good. And his whole village was chosen. Hayate wondered why ill fortune has befallen on him, not on anyone else. He thought about what Kaito said, that the Exo-Force pilots think that anyone piloting a battle machine would be enough to defeat robots. But that was wrong. Both his parents were very skilled pilots, but what happened? Both of their lives were wasted, by the robots, and the Exo-Force’s decision of not protecting his village. It looks like I have finally found the one that I should take my revenge on, thought Hayate, it isn’t a robot, but Exo-Force itself! They are the ones that are most responsible for you death, father, mother! Just at that moment, the hangar’s elevator rose up, possibly to give more battle machines entry into the bunker. A while later, the elevator returned. The battle machines on it weren’t the ones that Hayate expected, but the ones he saw in the recorded video: the Assault Tiger and the Hybrid Rescue Tank. |

The next few chapter will all going to be about what Exo-Force is doing up at the Golden City while the others are down at the jungle, and you'll see Hitomi in a couple of those chapters. BTW the next few chapters are all going to take place at night, where Exo-Force tries to destroy Sentai Fortress. It's going to turn our very well, you'll like it.
Edit: Next chapter's going to come out later today. This post has been edited by Rozak - Toa of Destiny: Aug 31 2008, 12:52 PM |

Yay! Can't wait for the next episode! Finally caught up. Jack62782 Hope you had a nice trip, Jack! Glad you liked the chapters! I'm going to try to shorten the upcoming chapters now, so it wouldn't be too boring to read and people who missed out on the story could catch up more easily. And now, here's Chapter #14. Chapter #14: The Mysterious Tunnels It was night. A few minutes ago, Hitomi have called the start of the Assault on the Sentai Fortress operation. Genki and Ayame launched in their battle machines first. Genki in a Golden Guardian and Ayame in her White Lightning. They promptly flied off down the Mountain, setting a course for the Exo-Force’s former base, and using as less engine power as possible, to avoid possible detection by the robots. Kaito still remained in the Sky Guardian, waiting for Hitomi’s order to launch. Mechanics are all around the battle machine, making last minute adjustments to the Sky Guardian, and adding new communications equipment. Hitomi have requested to personally track and aid Kaito’s progress as he investigate the tunnel, thus long-range communications equipment have to be added to enable contact between the Sky Guardian and the Golden City. “We’re pretty much finished here, Kaito,” informed one of the mechanics. “We’ve placed the new communications equipment inside the Sky Guardian’s armor, but we are not sure how long contact can last between you and the Golden City. For all we know, the tunnels might block all the signals as you go deeper, so be careful.” “It’s okay,” replied Kaito, “I’ve been on a lot of solo missions before I came here. Even if the communications black out, I should know what to do.” At that time, Hitomi’s voice was heard in the radio in the Sky Guardian’s cockpit, informing Kaito that it’s time to launch. “Kaito, can you hear me?” said Hitomi. “The time has come. Genke and Ayame should be about a quarter of the distance down to the Sentai Fortress by now. If everything’s finished down there in the hangar, launch in the Sky Guardian immediately.” “I hear you,” said Kaito into the message cylinder, “Sky Guardian, launching!” With that, Kaito activated the Sky Guardian’s leg mounted jets and soared out of the Golden Tower. He then turned around, flying towards the tunnel behind the Golden City’s back wall, and landed in front of the tunnel entrance. Kaito looked at the entrance of the tunnel. It is wide enough for a Golden Guardian to fit in. Its height was about the height of two standard battle machines stacked on top of another. Beyond the entrance, Kaito could only see pure darkness. “All right, Hitomi,” Kaito said into the message cylinder, “I’m entering the tunnel.” “All right, Kaito,” said Hitomi’s voice in the radio, “Turn on the battle machine headlights, it should aid your progress in the darkness.” “Understood.” Kaito turned on the headlights of the Sky Guardian, attached to the battle machine’s chest. With the lights on, he could now better see the tunnel beyond the entrance. As Hitomi described earlier, the walls of the tunnel was indeed smooth. He couldn’t see any crevasses or scratches on the walls. The whole tunnel was perfectly round, except for the tunnel floor, which is flat. It was as if someone have carved it with so much precision that no imperfection is left behind. Just by looking at it made Kaito speechless. Without another word, Kaito piloted the Sky Guardian into the tunnel. The headlights could only lit the area closest to the battle machine, the destination that the tunnel leads to is still a mystery. Fearlessly, Kaito walked on, with darkness surrounding the small circle of light around the battle machine. It’s just one step in front of another for now, Kaito thought to himself, and keep on repeating. However, as Kaito began taking another step, the battle machine strangely listed forwards. Pointing the headlights at the tunnel floor, he found that the tunnel floor had ended, and in its place a massive hole that decended down towards the unknown. He made the Sky Guardian took a step back, and said into the message cylinder to Hitomi. “The tunnel floor has ended,” Kaito said, “it’s just a massive hole that descends down in front of me.” “Does the tunnel continue on the other side of the hole?” asked Hitomi. Kaito pointed the headlights forward. There’s only a small patch of ground on the other side of the hole, and the tunnel ended with a flat rock wall. “Doesn’t look like it,” Kaito said, “this hole is the only way I can take.” “All right,” said the voice of the Hitomi in the radio, “if we have to go down this way, then so be it. Kaito, fly down the hole, it must lead somewhere close to Sentai Fortress, I’m sure of it. Sentai Fortress is in lower altitudes, so if robots were able to get up here through this tunnel, they must have flied up through this hole.” “All right. Understood.” Without hesitating, Kaito activated the leg mounted jets of the Sky Guardian, and hovered slowly down the hole, towards the unknown. |

Ohhhh... Very mysterious...
The thing I like about this epic is that it is very realistic not like the official version. There's death, blood and other things like the Blazing Falcon lost. Kutgw! Jack62782 It is what's to be expected in every good epic. Deaths and blood are just some of the usual things, though I've eliminated many of the blood in later chapters because it might sound a bit too disturbing. And remember what I said in the first post? "If you think it's dark, it's only going to get darker". I wasn't lying, so get ready for more tragedies, people. This post has been edited by Rozak - Toa of Destiny: Sep 3 2008, 10:46 PM |

I've read it all from the first chapter! Really nice. But making it 50 chapters long is a bit hard, since the school is near and there are 3 months until next year, when there will be no more exo-force

It has been some time that you aren't continuing it... Yeah, it has. It's really hard to fit it in all of the school work I've been recieving. So what I'm going to say is: The next chapter is going to come out when it comes out. Please be patient. About the 50 chapters thing, I've never said that I'm going to get it all done this year. This epic is going to continue into 2009. The first part of the epic (Chapters 1-25) is going to end in the end of 2008. The second part (Chapters 25-50) is going to take place in 2009, and will feature battle machines never been introduced into the story, as well as a new storyline. The reason I'm writing this is because Exo-Force is ending. And it's never said anywhere that the story of EF ends at 2008, Lego just discontinued it. I know, I have a lot of big plans. |
