I just recieved the Nestly Euro CD's 1 & 2 and thought I would send in my first impression review of the "games". The installation took less than three minutes from start to finish..although I habitually restart my computer after any install anyways. The opening intro movie is more of slide show than a real movie. It shows images from the CCG cards as well as those found on the reverse of the Toa posters. Once that is done it shows the Turaga standing at a temple. By choosing a Turaga you invoke a short discription of the selected priest which ends in a discription of both the Kanohi and the tool worn/used by the chieftan. After this it asks you to "help (selected Turaga's Toa) reach the temple. It is a short less than a minute long segment of a game...which can be a tad challenging if you misjudge your Toa's footing. After each "quest" is completed you can opt to go to another page where you can see the Toa's movie, learn the "legend of Mata-Nui" as well as get a glimpse of the Toa Kaita and a little info on Makuta...nothing overly helpful, but meh. Once all six "quests" are done you unlock the entire game...which is basically the quests except you can get highscores and save them.

The game itself is a side scroller much similiar to the OLD schook Duke Nukem, or Commander Keen games of DOS fame. For those that have no idea what I am talking about...think Super Mario Bros. for the Original Nintendo Entertainment System. You use the arrow keys to move and Space Bar makes the Toa jump. Other than that you collect your Toa's masks, and avoidn the infected ones. You get two (2) lives, which you will need as some sections of the game require timing and luck as the sections you stand on are constantly scrolling from the right side of the screen to the left, forcing you to continuously keep moving. The Wallpaper and screen savers are not anything fancy, and I believe I have them from the Battle of the Beasts CD given away at the TRU event of the same name.

Now most of you know the CD's include a previously unavailable bionicle track by the Barcode Brothers...Well if you caught my wording you are asking yourself, "Track? As in singular??" Yes. I am afraid that it is the SAME TRACK on both CD's. I thought maybe my DVD-ROM was not working correctly and dove in with Windows Explorer and still could not find anything. Since it works in a CD player as well, I thought I would check it there and again...only 1 song on both CD's and it is the same song...although listening to it via CD player, while it is playing on your computer, has a very interesting sound that I think most of you would agree upon.

I got the CD's becuase they are Bionicle. I get Bionicle because it rocks. Therefore I do not regret forking over a near complete set of Kanohi to acquire them. I would however caution hopefuls trying to acquire this CD to not expect to much. The game itself is fun and entertaining. The graphics and previously unreleased movie segments (yes there are two or three) are excellent too. If you have to have them for your collection by all means...if you want them for the chance to play a new Bionicle game go for it. If you want them for the music...you might want to reconsider. All in all the CD's are well put together and the chance to actually hear the pronunciation of the masks and Turaga and Villages and Toa is welcome, since Lewa (Loo-a) is correctly pronounced (Leh-wa). The only discrepincy I found...Nokama is male in the CD. Perhaps I just assume that since Gali and Maku were female that Nokama must be female too. If I am wrong then disregard and my bad.

Happy trading,
Galen J.

Nokama is female. On Bionicle.com this is Nokama's bio:

Quote
Turaga Nokama is the protector of Gali's legend. She knows the most about the oceans and rivers--except for Gali herself. Nokama has a reputation for resolving disagreements and bringing the Turaga together with her practical logic. Every Turaga respects the way she listens to all sides of a discussion.

Nokama's mask is the Kanohi Rau and her tool is an enormous fork-shaped staff.
