Seems good. The gameplay sounds interesting, but the plot seems a little strange. I just don't see how a few emeralds can cause such destruction.

I just got a Wii! I like the name "Nintendo Revolution" better though. Wii doesn't sound right to me. I only have Wii Sports and Wii Play. I'm renting Brawl for a week. So that'll make me happy. .

OK, I've just got to jump up and say this: OKAMI! It's a budget title ($40 instead of $50) The absolute SECOND you have enough money, please buy it. It's for everyone's good.

I believe the Nintendo press conference is tomorrow (the 15th), so that's like...25 hours until it begins.

There will likely be some 3rd Party titles revealed, since according to my guide, it says at 10AM they will air Microsoft's conference, then at 4PM it will be "Coverage of the Electronic Entertainment Expo", so it's not directed at one manufacturer.

Hmm, the addition looks nice. But I hope it doesn't make the Wiimote too heavy, that would kinda defeat it's purpose.

I actually rented Okami and it was awful. Poor gampleay mixing with bizzare graphics.

The jumping is arguably a little awkward, and - the reflector in particular - combat does not favor the waggle-masher. Did I just coin a phrase?
As for the graphics...I think those are just a love it or hate it thing. My friend saw 'em and said, "Wow, this is beautiful." and my...not-friend took one look and said, "Wow, these are some pretty bad graphics."

It does require more precise Wiimote motions than other games - for when you're using the Celestial Brush. For best results, I set the sensor bar position as Above TV, and put the bar below it. You should also face the TV directly.
I guess maybe Okami is an acquired taste.

But we should probably drop this. To each his own. I have to ask... is that MotionPlus thing confirmed? What's the source of that article?

No specific information has yet been revealed about this game, other than it will be the continuation of The Legend of Zelda series on Nintendo's next-gen platform. This was announced at Nintendo's media briefing at E3 2005.

When asked if Twilight Princess would be the Wii's only Zelda, Eiji Aonuma said, "I can't say, but I guess for now, maybe, yeah (laughs). Not to say that it's going to be the final game. There's still a lot of potential with the Wii so there's still a possibility that there could be another Zelda for it. We do have some ideas in the works, but I can't say for sure because none of them have been approved and we're still very much in the planning process, so I hope you look forward to whatever comes out." Shigeru Miyamoto elaborated on Zelda Wii, saying that it is "definitely possible that there would be another Zelda on Wii."

In December 2006, Game Informer reported that Zelda Wii has been "deep in development for around a year." At E3 2008, Shigeru Miyamoto officially confirmed that a new Zelda title is being developed, though no other details or release date were mentioned

That said, it definitely exists.

Shigeru Miyamoto has stated that Twilight Princess will be "without a doubt, the last Zelda game as you know it in its present form." This indicates that the Zelda series may receive a major user interface overhaul in order to take proper advantage of Wii, similar to those carried out in Ocarina of Time and Phantom Hourglass for the Nintendo 64 and DS, respectively. No other information has been given to the development.

During a private meeting at E3 '07, Eiji Aonuma spoke about the Zelda game, Phantom Hourglass. He then suddenly shifted gears and began speaking about the upcoming game, Wii Zelda. He was very excited, but was withheld from revealing too much information by Shigeru Miyamoto. He revealed that he would like to have a whole new control base for the game, and that it was possible that one-to-one swordplay be implemented. He also said that he would like to make the game to appeal both to the casual and the hardcore gamer.

This could mean that it utilizes the MotionPlus extension, but that's just a guess.

As E3 2008 approached, many were anticipating more information about a new Zelda Wii game. On July 15, 2008, Shigeru Myamoto confirmed that the next Zelda is "in the works". In addition, he also stated "The Zelda team in particular always works on Zelda titles. The core members of the Zelda team have for a very long time now been focused on Zelda games, and continue to focus on Zelda games, so they are hard at work and working away," Miyamoto said. "And then, of course, we have the DS Zelda team as well, so even there we're having some switching of people in and out where the DS team is mixing in with the Wii team and working on the Wii version".

Clearly you have never beaten a Pikmin game before. It is one of the most challenging and unique games that anyone would have ever played. It IS a "hardcore" game whether you like it or not.

Agreed. The style of the characters might not be what you would expect for a "hardcore" game, but graphics don't define gameplay.

I'm betting that on Zelda Wii, they'll have two modes. One where you have 1:1 swordplay with the MotionPlus, and another where it's like TP.

I could not beat this game. I got like, 7 days behind on salvaging the third ship part.

Also, my pikmin army of like, 200 or so was wiped out completely when I as little as turned around at the end of one of the docks that went over water. Why do the pikmin think that they just have to be right behind you? I went from an army of 200 strong to about 15 within an instant. I'd also like to know how they were able to DROWN in an ankle deep pond?
