 Right Click and "Save Target As" to Download the Video - 1mb - RealMedia format I know its not much, but I figured it deserved its own topic none the less. The following messa.. video was written and performed by none other then SPIRIT, and the rest, by yours truly. Enjoy! *applause* As usual, I always love to hear comments on my work. And in this case, I'm sure SPIRIT would love some too!

Perfect! Great job, both of you.
SPIRIT is my BZP Twin and perfect for that role. The animation is great too. Spirit is a funny guy. That's...great, no other word for it, great. The voices are perfect, espeically being a fellow Brit, and the 3D rendering is fantastic. On the whole, short and simple (not that I could do it), but truely satisfying. Hope to see more!

Hysterical.
First of all, the animation makes waiting for the finished QotT all the more unbearable. It looks totally seamless (except for a split-second flash I saw in the fire, but it could've been my computer) and, in my opinion, rivals that of the full-length Bionicle movies themselves. Secondly, the OUY seems to have become a running gag and I don't see it getting old anytime soon. I can't wait to see what unexpected place it turns up in next.  Thirdish, and probably because of MoL, Jala's voice is incredibly deep for such a small Tohunga. But that, and the cleverness of the script (and SPIRIT's great voice acting), gives the joke that punch that makes me laugh tears each time I watch it. XD Thouroughly awesome. Thanks for the belly laughs, Lewa11.

This was a brilliant collaboration between you and SPIRIT, Lewa11!
Very well coordinated. I have to say that the music in the beginning and end was very fitting for a public service announcement. And everything during the announcement was perfectly timed. The animation seemed quite flawless to me -- but I'm a sheer novice in that field, so don't listen to me.  Although at the end, the text was a bit blurry... perhaps that could be fixed up a bit? But it's really just a little gripe. This nifty little video was worth every second of my time, and I can't say that about too much. SPIRIT was definitely the right guy for the voice part. - Onuki -------------------- |

I alredy was in guard. Booooring. They banned me from it for sleeping on watch. ... And, well, jala voice didn't sound right to me. I think it should be bit higher. And the fire does some white bling, it doesn't look very good.

That – was – brilliant! It was admittedly short, but that was an awful lot of hilarity for only 36 seconds of film.
Art-wise – the 3D animation was excellent; Jala's movements were quite natural and smooth. The flame did look rather odd – more fireball that fire – but getting a realistic fire would probably have been horribly difficult, so I won't harp on that... The "kick me" sign was well done; scribbly and yet legible. The humour – pure classic. The "kick me" joke is old, but it was nicely refreshed with a little irony – "dignity and awareness of your surroundings." The canned laughter, though not required to get anyone laughing, turned the serious situation – with the military music and all – into a comedy. And finally, there was the classic "OUY" gag... Kudos to both of you! And thanks so much for the entertaining clip.  ~B-Blue My brother really liked the fact that Jala had a low voice. He said it was more fitting for the Captain of the Guard. -------------------- Seriously, that New Members group thing is strange.

Jk, jk.Anyway, I love the animation. But I agree, Jalla's voice should be a bit lower. Heh, I liked the UOY. It makes you laugh because that's a common technical mistake. The fire actually glitched on me, but I decided to put it online with the weird fire anyways. It should've been a whole lot better looking and wavier and such, but for some reason the program didn't want to let it do that lol. The thing that some members saw, the blue appearing in the fire is actually there, its not your imaginations... again... its was the program glitching on me.

Funny stuff. You (or should I say 'OUY') got it all down, even to the little tones during the beginning and end of the announcement. The militaristic music while Jala talked was also a nice touch. I won't comment on the fire, seeing as you've already explained the fireball-ness and that white flash. (ZOMG! Someone who actually reads the whole topic before posting!)
Jala's body seems a little flat, but they're your character designs, I suppose. I wouldn't have a Mctoran around for comparison anyway. Kick me sign - Not one, but two exclamation marks? That was really funny! The OUY thing was really good, and the animation was awesome. It took my computer FOR-EV-ER to download Real Player though, but it was worth it. Nice job, I for some reason didn't even notice the "flash" while the carera was facing the flames. Keep up the good work, and nice job to both of you! Yay -------------------- I'm back.

SPIRIT told me about this, and I thought it was funny at that, but the way it's done here is just hilarious. His tone when he's describing what a guard needs makes the joke perfect. The head movement when he says "dignity" makes it even funnier when you see the sign. The slow revealing on the KICK ME sign plays it up nicely. The animation is very nicely done. The fire looks realistic, and adds to the "seriousness" of the announcement. And the "OUY" was a nice little throwaway joke. Nice job, guys. XD Dr. B XD --------------------  "Love or be loved. Hahaha. That was pretty funny. SPIRIT has done some pretty great voice acting. Jala's voice was perfect. Although I would change the announcer's voice. It's kinda..... can't find a word. But overall this has been the greatest around 20 seconds of my day so far.

Fantastic graphics. Although it's not perfect, I like the rough texture, and the mask was done really well. Loved the sign too, but alas, I wasn't able to enjoy what he said because there is no captioning. Could you possible add subtitles to the video?

That was awesome. I must've watched it 10 times over and still got a kick out of it.
Suggestions: SPIRIT, I know you're putting on a different voice which might make it hard but try not to drown out your voice at the end of a sentence or it makes it hard to hear. |
