So here is the lowdown on Irnakk --
As you know, all of the beings now known as "Piraka" are from the same species and originated on the same island (though they are scattered about in many places these days). As with any culture, they had their share of myths -- figures of good, figures of evil, figures that might exist and figures that couldn't and shouldn't. Irnakk falls into the category of "things that should not" --he's a figure of nightmare, tales of which the rulers of that species' island use to keep their people in line. In the same way the Turaga used tales of the Toa to fill their people with hope, the rulers of this species used tales of Irnakk to fill their people with terror. When the Piraka get closer to the Mask of Life, they encounter an area in which this figure is drawn from their nightmares and made real. The Piraka, beings who inspire fear, must face their own horror if they want to reach the mask. Powers: Irnakk is creature born of fear and made of fear. As such, you would think that plain old horror would be his weapon, but not so. Unlike, say, the Scarecrow who makes you see illusions of what you are most afraid of -- Irnakk makes what you are afraid of REAL. (For example, Hakann's first encounter with him results in his armor literally melting off his body as he loses control of his heat power.) This effect is delivered via Irnakk's zamor spheres, but that's not all ... If Irnakk REALLY wants to make your life miserable, he can turn you from a physical being into a mere thought ... then absorb that thought into his own mind .. and suddenly you are trapped inside his head, amidst all the madness and the terror of his thoughts and feelings. IF you survive to ever become a physical being again (at his whim), it is highly doubtful you will do it with your sanity intact ... Greg has said that they enter it when they get closer to the Mask of Life. Maybe it's a test of bravery, the three virtues? Bad guys = evil thoughts, more evil nightmares. Good Guys = good thoughts, less evil nightmares. Well, Greg, this is certainly interesting. I guess Swert and I were way off after all (We theorized in private - I believed Irnakk to be the so called 'Piraka combiner'). I'll be looking forward to learning more about Irnakk, his fight with the Piraka, and possibly more like him (Those created like he was - If there are any).

So, if I'm correct and the Toa Inika get as close the the MoLi as the Piraka do, does this mean that a figure will be drawn out of their own nightmares too? Possibly something in Karzahni's Realm or maybe Rahkshi? This sure is cool....wasn't expecting that for a description for this guy. Irnakk's scary, but I find it much scarier that there exists something that can search through your mind and bring your nightmares to life. If it works on the Toa... it could bring Makuta back!

First I have a question then a thought...
Is Irnakk going to appear in stores other than LEGO outlets later? Second of all, this is kind of off topic but, what if when the Toa Inika get closer to the Mask of Life, Umbra or the entity in the "Gear up" is unleashed considering that in Umbra's translated bio that we know of, it (roughly) says that the Toa must go through him in order to prove themselves worthy to obtain the Mask of Life. I'm believing that Umbra - having been disguised by the OoMN as a shadow creature - creates irnakk with his shadow powers.

This year is getting more interesting as the days go by. TLC is adding to the Bionicle universe in some dramatic ways. Keep up the great work, now Irnakk is on my "must buy" list, like I needed a reason to add him. Add my name to the list of people who can't wait for Irnakk to appear in the books and comics.
