Wow, that is awesome news GregF,
So another team of Toa, even Magnitisme,
that is really cool and awesome.
BTW if antother toa team used it, then the question
remains for what?? I am also wondering, for whom
was the mask used and if Axonn and Brutaka know of
it. Maybe the use of the mask of Life was the cause of
Voya Nui's current state!

Nice tidbit, Greg, thanks! Will this in any way be mentioned in the books/comics, or is it a BZP-exclusive, like the Fohrok? Also, I thought I remembered it being stated somewhere that there had never been Toa on Voya Nui - Or was it that the DoomToran had never seen any?

Interesting...

O_O.
Sweet.
I'm gonna love the theories this'll make.

Man, they coulda used his help.
I was wondering, though, didn't you say it never left that chamber? Or did they use it in the chamber?
And against what? The AE?
And is this going to be mentioned next year?

Yeah, that sounds like your average GregF PM. laugh.gif

This was just another testament to the peace and security of the Knowledge Sphere, that this was considered a high-alert emergency. In Locus Abeo, the possible death of four people wouldn't have even caused one to blink.

Ikki -- it is mentioned in BL #6 next year. And you are correct, there have never been Toa stationed as guardians of Voya Nui and the local Matoran have never seen any. But these Toa journeyed to get the mask from elsewhere, back before Voya Nui was separated from its continent, and via means that ensured no Matoran ever saw them. Those means are no longer available post-cataclysm.

Nice info. Looks like their might be a team of toa with the Kal powers. This also makes the Inika seem slightly less special tongue.gif .

Since you're here, would there be a Toa of Vacuums or Toa of Acid on that team? And does the Magnetism Toa have control over just magnetism or control over metalic protodermis as well? Thanks.

I'm guessing anything metallic. This is awesome news though. And seeing as how it won't be mentioned 'till next year, it sure makes me feel special. laugh.gif

It's actually mentioned in BL #5 that the mask has only been removed from its pedestal once in 100,000 years, and after it was used, it was returned hurriedly because the demonstration of its power had scared the blazes out of the ones who had removed it.

I was expecting a toa of magnetism to come up in the future. Oh well........

Still cool. A turaga of magnetism sounds really cool, especially as a turaga of voya-nui. I want more on this other toa, the leader of the only other team to get to the mask. He is interesting, but where would his fellow turaga be?

So that's when it was removed! You mentioned something before about the Kanohi Ignika only being removed from it's current location once before. Is this that very time?

Either way... A Toa of Magnetism and a Toa team who actually got the Mask of Life without anything bad happening (Or did it?) and then actually using... Just wow. So our friends the Toa Inika aren't the first Toa to ever get to it. I hope we can learn more about this Toa (Then Turaga, now dead) and his team in the future.

I think you probably will, ET -- I kind of like the idea of sort of weaving their story into the 2007 (and hopefully 2008) books as sort of a thread. To answer, yes, that was the one time it was removed -- and no, not all the Toa involved survived the experience and what followed.

His mask? Oh yeah, that. This is a question that will definitely make a few unnecessary topics around BZP if Greg stays quiet on it. But, he can't tell us everything all at once. I assume it will be something we've never heard of though.

I guess that means he, if not all Magnetism-Matoran, was male.

Magnetism makes sense...since then he wouldn't actually have had to touch it, he could have suspended it in a magnetic field in front of him.

Can't wait to learn more about him and his team, and if they have any link to krakua or the toas of sonics and gravity mentioned so far.

This is interesting, I was under the impression that Voya Nui never had a turaga, apparently I was wrong. I am eager to learn more about this toa of magnetism and his/her team of toa, it sounds really interesting. Thanks for the info, Greg.

Well, we knew that Voya Nui had a dead Turaga, but we didn't know the element of the Turaga.

wow,Greg releases once more some goodies

mmm,our first Turaga(that we know) that isn't a basic(6) element
and multiple Toa groups have tried to reach the Ignika, but 1 team succeeded...hmmm
ofcourse you couldn't tell how large that team was,only 6,or 20 tongue.gif
darn, this only gives me more questions.

Does anyone of those Toa left some kind of mark for the current storyline(a left behind Suletu?)
