I think that's possible, as Mata Nui is the only dome we know of that's above the surface.

The other domes could use lightstones, sort of like the Southern Continent.

Does Southern Continent use lightstones for light? QUOTE The continent is described to be huge and lit with Lightstones. It is also, like Metru Nui, situated in a dome and at the same level. However, it is located to the far south of Karzahni and Metru Nui. Voya Nui is located in the central area of the Continent. There are caverns below the Southern Continent but above Karda Nui. These are the homeland of the Av-Matoran. From BS01. |

QUOTE I would like to ask here about the river used in Journey of Fear by the Toa Metru. Since Mata Nui is directly above Metru Nui, and the water way connected the Silver Sea and the Endless Ocean, how did the waterway run up? Also, when we think about Mount Valmai, and the Mangai Volcano, Is it even possible for the magma to go that for through the crust? About the river: I'm 98% sure that Greg answered a question like that a while ago. I remember him answering that the river didn't continue all the way to the surface, and that the Toa Metru had to run the ship aground and carry/move it to a higher current of water at several points. It makes sense, I suppose. Especially if they were traveling against the current of the river (which would have been flowing downhill). About the Mangai Volcano: I would theorize one of two things that could account for the Mangai Volcano's activity. One, that magma from the core of the planet (even beneath Metru Nui) forces its way upwards around the dome system (which is apparently made of rather tough stuff) and is released onto the surface of Mata Nui (or elsewhere, wherever it could find a release point). The second theory would be that the magma on Mata Nui is generated by a heat source somewhere around the Metru Nui dome. I would think that it could originate from the energy piped up from Karda Nui, and that when some of that energy "decays" it causes heat which could melt the stone (without melting the dome). As for Mt. Valmai, I think it's best to assume that the Great Beings simply made it to function autonomously (in order to continually protect the Chamber of Life). JRRT -------------------- |

From GregF himself:
QUOTE -- Probably the one of most import to you guys will be something I did yesterday -- the first ever official map of the BIONICLE universe. I sketched it out for a Polish BIONICLE guidebook set to come out this fall, and it will now be redrawn by some people who can actually draw smile.gif So if there are Eastern European BIONICLE fans on here, expect to see some scans of it later this year. How awesome is that? |

I believe the decision to make Aqua Magna/EOP be once part of Spherus Magna was made after the movie/script was finished.
