Bio: Huhu Mehemehe (or Forest Beetle in Maori) leves in Le-Koro. There ar four stagesin the life of a Huhu Mehemehe. The first is the egg. When it hatches, a larva comes out, and eventually grows to a four legged spide lookng craeture. Once fully grown, it takes the form of a beetle. Enemies: The Huhu Mehemehe's main enemy is the Kanu Manu (or the Egg Bird, in Maori) This bird steals the eggs of the Huhu Mehemehe, and feeds them to its young. Friends: The Huhu Pupuhi (or Fire Beetle in Maori) is a beetle who lives in the burnt forest. It is in the genus as the Huhu Mehemehe. Pictures will be coming tonite for all of the creatures mntioned above, but only the Huhu Mehemehe is the contest entry (the large green beetle) Thi is the link to the actual entry: click here --------------------  |
