Click on the banner to enter the website. If you have never played an RPG before, please scroll down to the FAQ section. smile.gif

6/26/10: A new video for Influx has been posted. It showcases what I've been working on for the past week or so. That's the bulk of the action battle system that you're seeing. There are still features that are missing (try and see if you can guess which ones are missing!) but the foundation of this ABS has been set, and that's a very big milestone.

6/24/10: A new screenshot for Star Tohunga 3D has been put up. See this post, along with the new direction that the game's going to be taking.

6/04/10: The downloads for the Legend of Mata Zuto games have been moved to their new site: matazuto.cyanproductions.net. Also, the download for Star Tohunga 2: Ground Assault has been moved to its site: http://startohunga.cyanproductions.net, under the Star Tohunga 2 page.

6/02/10: As you can clearly see, we have done some major revamps on the website. Long story short, we are now on free hosting, which explains the banner at the top.

There are more features that I would like to add to this website, since we no longer have a Wiki, so bear with us while we continue working.

4/08/10: As many of you probably already know, the first demo for MatrixMan Network Reloaded has been put up for download. You can now get it from the Cyan website.

4/06/10: Check out Cyan's new comedy, Legendary Lunatics by =Blur=!

3/20/10: We have screenshots from the new project called MatrixMan Network Reloaded. Check the following links 1, 2 and 3

3/04/10: Check out the home page of http://cyanproductions.net/ to see a prototype video of a moving Tarakava. Despite the fact that I've changed engines, you're still getting more interesting footage than you did from the many months of work surrounding the 6-second clip.

2/04/10: The Son of the Toa is now online and ready to be downloaded! It's a 70 MB zip file, but this game is well worth the wait. Enjoy the game, and of course, let us know what you think in this topic!

1/31/10: Star Tohunga: Rise of the Makuta already has an update. Takua95 has already made a title screen (generally the first thing you see) for the game. Click here to see it! How's that for first impressions? wink.gif
  • Also, Fall of the Conqueror is officially back in production, mostly for debugging purposes.
1/28/10: Star Tohunga: Rise of the Makuta is officially a go! Once this project starts progressing, we'll add information to the Games section. As for Influx, I am working the Sapphire Temple, a sacred building where you will find an important artifact. That is the 2nd floor, where you'll fight a robot named Sonarak.

1/5/10: Star Tohunga 3D is coming along nicely! Take a look at this screenshot to see for yourself. For those awaiting something from Influx, I'm pleased to present some background information on this game which you can view on this wiki.

Thanks. I lost my 8 pages of posts, but maybe a clean topic isn't so bad.

Yeah, for now. All my staff has kinda disappeared though. I need to let them know about the new topic. If Cyan dies again though, I may have to consider merging with another company... or doing something so that I won't have to start a new topic every 30 days.

So demo 2 is out? I guess I'll download it.

Downloaded it, and I noticed that Onua and Pohatu don't have their sprites updated. Otherwise, it's really, good, much better than the last one.

Yes, you'll notice that roughly only about 60% of all the sprites in this game are updated. This is still only a demo, but the next version will be the kinda be the "final" version.

Of course, because of all the pixel-drawing that has to be done, Part 3 is going to be shorter than Part 2, but it might take just as long to finish. I'm hoping to release by Christmas or New Years, but that's a stretch. But most of all, I really need this topic to live until then.

Okay, I have a problem. I can't figure out how to use the flags for the wastes. Wait, I meant the drifts. Are you supposed to use flags there?

Yeah, just press Enter anywhere on the map and you'll be given a choice as to which color flag you can set down. Also, the flags don't disappear until you leave the drifts, so you might not have to buy that many. wink.gif

The Gapuha Haven is in the Eastern Drifts. I can't give you the location of the "hidden" stuff, but I can tell you where the Haven is. Enter the Eastern Drifts and go north. Keep going north and you'll find it.

IMPORTANT: The Gapuha and the Frosteslus can be pretty difficult. Tahu will definitely come in handy, and you can buy Firaga orbs in Ko-Koro. Those will help too.

@ Tepterma: Takua the Wanderer got past it, so there shouldn't be any problems. psychotwitch.gif

Anywho (this is mostly pointed at the Cyan Productions Staff), I really wish the old topic could've lived. That said, I want to make sure this topic doesn't die again. One way for that to happen is for more activity. I'll be posting more screenshots of LoMZ and hopefully we'll get some other artwork and banners to show off. Any other suggestions?

Well, I'm somewhat decent at pixel art, but I need something to start out with, and I'm somewhat limited, since I only have Bitmap.

Here's a few examples.

Do you have a program called iDraw? It's very good for doing character sprites (the walking pictures of the heroes and NPCs). Your art is about as good as mine, which isn't bad at all. I can pixel-draw, I'd have much more time to program the game if I had other people doing graphics and other stuff.

Do you have anymore examples?

Well, we do need people who are at least halfway decent at pixel-drawing, and not all of it involves actually drawing.

You know those Onua and Pohatu battlechars you spoke of earlier? Someone has to actually draw those because the poses are different than the other characters in the game. But then again, updating those sprites would need to be very precise. Nevermind.

Would you be able to redraw these?

P.S. iDraw is a program that runs on Windows that is a little easier than Paint because it has a changable grid.

I'm a little confused. I'm on the alien ship (I can't tell quite what the name is because the text messes it up), by the save point with the wierd stars on the ground that bump you around. I can get past them easily enough, but I'm stuck on how to get into the corridor left from the entrance to that map.

This was just another testament to the peace and security of the Knowledge Sphere, that this was considered a high-alert emergency. In Metru Nui, this would've been just another day in the life -- a nine to five day of rescuing people here and there, and then home for dinner. In Locus Abeo, the possible death of four people wouldn't have even caused one to blink.

Possibly, but I'd like to know what you're looking for.

Also, the clues for opening the canister were just plain genius.

Also, the clues for opening the canister were just plain genius.

But now that I solved them, now what? I can't figure out how to get to Po-Koro.

1) If you've done that sidequest, then I assume you have Lexia with you now (or she is at least available)? If not, go up the stairs like you're going to Ko-Koro or Le-Koro to find her and finish the sidequest. The canister was only the first half.

2)Go to the Kanohi Menu, choose Gali, and then choose Kakama. Then, press Shift and then press 1. The Kakama will be activated and you'll easily be able to reach Po-Koro. You can't go to Po-Koro until Gali finds her Kakama, which is found in the Gapuha Haven, which you've gotten past.... so you have it. tongue.gif

3) Well, you know the RayG Kit 2.5? I need the Toa to be redrawn with the colors from that kit, and they should have the masks from that kit as well.

The most important thing is shading though. You have to be good at shading in order to draw in the new style.

P.S. You might know this already, but if you don't: press '0' to find out what to do next.

From the entrance, you'll be a in a room full of Kohlii balls. Just push them out the way, or press the switch if you get trapped. From the save point, you should be able to go down and then left. Or, you can go around and get past the star platforms, which isn't hard. Just remember that blue is the safe color (and try to do it one of a time) and you should be fine. Be sure you've pushed the switch in the east room southeast from the save area first. Otherwise the doors that lead to the switch will still be locked. smile.gif

Where are you in the game? Some door are never opened, while some may need switches to open them instead of keys.

Same question, but on the islands where you need a blue crab. Some doors seem to be impossible to open. Do I need to explore a bit more to find the switches/keys? Oh, and I just beat the Lightning Tower, and now it won't let me leave.

First dungeon.

The Roko Spaceship has switch-activated passages. If you pull all the switches, the door to the Boss (Mokoshama), will open. Doors that are locked can't be opened without the pulling of a switch.

1) Some areas require a gold ussal crab to access, and others may require a kanohi mask and another special item. There might a few areas that aren't accessible in this version. For example, the door with a Miru over it requires the Miru key to access. Another door requires the Kaukau key. I can honestly say that I don't remember where these keys are, and I might not have even put them in this version. Behind one door is an Unlimited-Use summon, and behind the other one is a run-in with Wokapu, and Luka's final Limit Break. I can tell you that they're not in "blue crab area".

2) That's a bug. Fortunately there's no save point in the tower, so my best advice would be to just avoid it for now. It'll be fixed shortly.

MEANWHILE, you should definitely try and get your hands on the green, white, and ultimately the gold ussal crab. happy.gif There's one area in each "Ussal exclusive" area that can only be accessed through getting a gold crab.

If anyone else finds any bugs please be sure to report them.

Thanks. How do I get the antidote from the Nui-Jaga in Ga-Koro?
And in Bionicle: The Infestation, I can't exit the Tahnok nest the way I got inside. What do I do?
EDIT: Never mind, I got past it(About Infestation)

Just wander around the Jaga nest on the shore. It's fairly easy to find. wink.gif

Yeah, I found out. Now, on when you meet up with Lewa, and defeat the "Shredder" or what was his name, what do you do?

Walk around the village. You can walk on those giant leaves. Take a rest in the Inn.

I'll also re-state that you should be able to press '0' and the game will tell you what to do next. smile.gif

Hey guys, here's another screenshot. It's not much, but this will be the fist thing you see in Part 3.
