Read Kanohi-Power.com, they said that Lego said that the parts they had to edit would take to long since it was a huge part of the game. And I don't see why the whole line would flop. I mean that was just at the software department. They wouldn't discontinue Bionicle. But I do wonder how they are going to introduce the Vahi.

This is the letter I received in the mail today from LEGO about the game-- The letter was dated and postmarked on Oct.16 it says nothing about cancellation--
and the " above or within thirty days " clause is very confusing  That would make it show up earlier then what I expected before ???Now if this isn't going to baffle a lot of purchasers...  ...I don't know what is- -------------------- <b>LINKS</b>

Okie dokie, perhaps i did not sight my sources of information correctly 1) Lego shop@home yesterday 2) Lego Consumer affairs yesterday 3) Lego shop@home today 4) Lego consumer affairs today 5) other source that I cannot name. Lego doesn't release press info for a few days. It took them a week at give an official press release about the recall of 6776. Stormblade, if you want to know the other source message me. |

I just called again. They told me that it is still canceled, and that letters will be going to to the folks who preordered it later this week or early next week informing them of the cancelation. Obviously you have a conflicting report. What branch of Lego did you call? |

[/quote] I know. It is really going to mess some folks up. I received a letter like that last week. Lego sure has bad timing canceling the game, just as 30 day notices go out. The s@h rep told me that cancelation notices will be going out early next week. also, in reply to Telekinetic's post.... EB probably did not update their site yet. Every aspect of the lego company is saying that it has been cancelled, so therefore, there is vertually no doubt that production has been stopped. |

There is no evidence on the side of the cancellation, just because the game is no longer on the S@H page dosen't mean I thing. Perhapse they're getting overloaded with Pre-Orders, maybe they're re-doing the page. Plus nowhere on Lego.com is any confirmation of calcelation. Plus games are almost never canceled this close to thier releases, and if it ever was an Official Press Release would come first. Until I see a press release I'm not beliveing anything about this rumor.

The most annoying thing about all of this is, the one place you would expect to read about a cancellation and believe it, bionicle.com, as of October 20th still prominently features the PC CD-ROM game and says the release date is September 2001! Perhaps the game will see the light of day on the X-Box. It is an easy port from the PC, and because the hardware (CPU, graphics card, memory, controller, etc.) and OS are fixed, quality-control is orders of magnitude easier. Don't complain about not owning an X-Box. No one does. |

If you go to "Mentioning sites with forums = bad.com" they have an article about the whole cancellation. They say that there is nothing to do with the whole WTC problems, and that the real problems are glitches and processor problems.

Heheheh. I sincerely doubt Lego will discontinue Bionicle. Last I checked, Bionicle sales were VERY popular among people, with VERY high production rates. They are just re-tooling the site. It has happened before to Lego.com. Don't worry your little faces.
Oh yeah: About the game being cancelled: There ARE scenes in the game related to the Sep. 11 incidents, but due to obvious reasons, I will not say what they are. I have heard about this just now from another very reliable place, and either they are taking these scenes out, which they have plenty of time for and the rumors got out of control, or they are 100% Grade A bullflop. BULLFLOP! -------------------- First, I was normal. Then, I got a nail through the stomach. Now, I have no body. Life's tough sometimes.
