Does anybody know anything about Guitar Hero: Metallica other than people say it exists? TE:TOR It's been confirmed, and the likeliest non Metallica bands for inclusion are Pantera, Machine Head and Avenged Sevenfold. On Saturday, I got one of these babies.
![]() Pretty fun, but not quite what I was expecting. For one, I thought that there would be full versions of the songs. And that you got song selection, rather than having to play them in a set order. But still, it's got Message In A Bottle and Jessica on it. |

Alright, I'll get Hammerhead. Would've preferred a more classic Offspring song, to be honest.

Don't worry. An Offspring Six pack is coming soon.
It'll have Come Out and Play, Self Esteem, Gone Away, All I Want, Pretty Fly (For a White Guy), and The Kids Aren't Allright. |

You only have to complete one career on at least medium. It's more fun if you beat all of them though.
So who's hyped for GHA? |

Neversoft isn't going to deliver with GHWT. Calling it now. If you recall their over hyped plans for DLC for Guitar Hero 3 (in which they knew ahead of time what Harmonix was planning) you'll clearly see that they're not going to deliver, and they're trying to compensate this with the "largest on disc setlist ever" boasting over 90 songs. How much more memory can GHWT have than GH3? Think about it. 90 songs plus all the drumming, bass, and singing, plus the "extensive better than Rock Band" career modes as well as character and song creators? They just won't have enough space to not only match everything that Rock Band delivered but also improve enough to warrant another $180 set.
... ... ... But I'll probably still buy the game. -------------------- I wanna have the same last dream again/The one where I wake up and I'm alive

Dude, the X-Plorer is B.A. I have two because one broke. And, I agree with Timekeepr, Rock Band is much better than Guitar Hero. Better songs, better dlc, better multiplayer, plus drums. Harmonix all the way! (Even if they did eff up the release date in Europe) Oh, and Everlong isn't in any music games.... yet. Everlong was confirmed for GH4 andRock Band 2. Since Harmoix is a developer I don't think they have control over the European release though it is a shame the way that was handled. And GH3 has way more well known bands than RB, in the main setlist, bonus, and DLC. What game were you playing, exactly? That article was written before many features of RB2 were announced. After seeing all the new features Harmonix is adding into RB2, I'm going to have to say that currently I want Rock Band 2 much more. Oh, and Rock Band 2 has the Ion kit, which is the best video game drumkit ever. Yeah Rock Band 2 > GH 4. GH4 has the music creator, and that's it. For every genuinely good song created with this, 500 other terrible songs will be made, so it's almost pointless unless you want to chart your own songs. GH3 REALLY overcomplicates things for the sake of difficulty. This is true, and why I laugh. If I want to play keyboard with a guitar I'll play keytar. The Through the Fire and Flames intro is spanish acoustical guitar, not keyboard. Though there is keyboard notes charted as guitar later on in the song. -------------------- I wanna have the same last dream again/The one where I wake up and I'm alive

Rock band II drums (Left; standard set, now with sound dampened pads, expansion slots to install cymbal perpiherals, also velocity-sensetive, a sweet new colour scheme, AND metal-reinforced kickpedal. Right; Premium drums, which include the two drums and two cymbals GH IV left out);
Sheer and utter ownage of the GH drums. This post has been edited by Necro: Jul 13 2008, 05:09 PM -------------------- |

The one on the right is the ION kit, which becomes an actual Electric drum kit if you plug it into a drum brain. It's pretty much the epitome of awesome.

Haha, no, its fine. She asked me what it would take to bribe me, and I said I didn't know so shes like, how about I buy you something, and I said, the only things I want are an iPod Touch or Guitar Hero 4 right now, and shes like okay, whatever, GH4. So it was kinda interesting
And Wii Rock Band 2 Still won't have online play, so thats another reason I want GH4 more. -------------------- ![]() |

I can't wait for the drums in GH: World Tour. Anyway, for GHIII, I like Paint it Black (Rolling Stones), Paranoid (Black Sabbath), Same Old Song and Dance (Aerosmith).
My second tier would include La Grange (ZZ Top), Welcome to the Jungle (Guns 'n Roses), and The Metal (Tenacious D). -------------------- Thanks munkeymunkey for the Proto Boost!

Also, 20 free master recorded tracks are coming out for Rock Band 2 upon its release in the fall for no other reason than Harmonix and MTV couldn't put them onto the disc.
