Rules

1. This one should go without saying. Standard BZP rules apply. This means no flaming, no filter-dodging, no SPAM.

2. Use IC and OOC in your posts. IC means "In Character" and is used to control your character. OOC is "Out Of Character" and is used to talk to people regularly.
Example-

IC: Leafpaw followed his mentor out of the camp and into the woods. They followed the path until they reached a gnarled old tree that reached into the sky.
"Wow," Leafpaw thought. He wondered what his mentor would teach him today…

OOC: So what are we going to do?

3. No taking over other people's characters. You can have them talk to your character or give a small description of what they are doing, but no more than that. Anything more than this requires permission from the character's player. RPG staff, however, is exempt from this, and are able to take control of a character at any time without permission. This is usually done during plot advancement, or to keep you from doing something you shouldn't be.

4. Try to use good grammar and spelling. This makes your post easy to read and understandable. If it is noted that you need to improve your grammar in the reply to your application, it is meant in all seriousness that you'll need to make a conscious effort to do so. Remember: proofreading makes the world a better place. However, if English isn't your first language, then it won’t be a problem. Just send us a PM and everything’ll be good.

5. No trying to make a big plot twist or big side story. Yes, you have a character, and you are free to use that character, but the main story developments are the responsibility of the staff.
This includes, but is not limited too: Killing a main character, introducing a plague to the clans, making a "startling discovery", or a big side mystery, essentially making a new story arc. Now, if you PM a staff member and they give you the go-ahead, then by all means you can.

6. Remember, everything you do in the game world could have consequences in the game world, good or bad.

7. If you do not post for three pages, we will send you a PM asking if you wish to continue to play in the RPG. The only exception to this is if you PM your clan leader saying you'll be on vacation, you're too sick, etc. …

8. Please, no “What happened while I was gone?” posts unless it’s been two or more pages since you last posted. These things can get annoying quickly, especially when constantly repeated.

9. Profiles. You need to PM your filled-out profile to the leader of the clan you wish your character to join. They will either accept it or tell you what is wrong with it.

-Classes. You have three available to choose from at the start. Warrior, Apprentice, or Medicine Cat Apprentice. If you choose one of the two apprentice classes, then you select two powers from the list for your clan leader to decide which one you get. If you start out as a Warrior, it’s three you pick out for the Clan Leader to choose from.

-Powers.

• Animal Communication(Allows you to converse with animals that do not normally speak the cat language)
• Enhanced Senses(This gives you natural senses three times greater than a normal cat and faster reflexes)
• Spirit Manifestation(This allows your character to remove their spirit from their body, with only certain, gifted cats and other cats who are using their spirit manifestation powers to see you. In spirit form you can also move through solid objects, however, you are incapable of doing anything to those on the physical plane and your body is vulnerable)
• Stealth(This gives your character an almost chameleon-like ability to blend in with their surroundings.)
• Super Jumping(This allows your character to jump five times higher than a normal cat can)
• Super Speed(Your character can travel at speeds in excess of sixty miles per hour)
• Telekinesis(Your character can move objects with their mind, but only the same as they could move with their bodies. Moving objects with your mind also uses up the same amount of energy as moving them physically)
• Water Breathing(Your cat can breathe underwater indefinitely and is also a stronger swimmer than the average cat)

10. We use a system of warns in this RPG. When you break a number of small rules, or one or two major rules, you get a warn. Three warns gets you a two-week suspension from the RPG. After this, if you get a fourth warn, then you’re banned from the RPG. Your character will be dealt with as the staff sees fit.

Personality: Ready to sacrifice himself in the name of his friends, allies, and clan. Deeply understanding, but very precise and calculating on how to deal with situations. Unless around close friends, he has a tendency to speak when needed only.

Appearance: Dark orange tom with grey flecks on his back and flanks. Paws have a yellow-ish hue to them.
Personality: Precise, strict, and following orders without question, he is perhaps one of the most loyal cats in Thunderclan. Always considering both end of a conflict, he offers his opinion, but follows orders in the end unless they are intolerable. Has a great dislike for slackers and sleepers.

Description: Light brown tabby, female. Light yellow eyes.
Personality: Bold and outspoken, you always know her view on things. Something of a chatterbox in her apprentice days, she now helps keep her patients thoughts off their injuries by keeping up a constant dialogue with them.

Personality: Aloof. He is slow to pass judgement, instead making sure to hear both sides of the story. However, in battle, he is fierce, and a terrible sight to see. He personally questions the Warrior Code at times, stemming from his firsthand experiences of how it can be used for evil.

Description: Sleek black fur, with white paws and underbelly, and a white patch on his left eye. His eyes are a greenish-yellow, and he has a nick in his right ear.
Personality: He is friendly and couragous, and would easily give up his life for a Clanmate. He is usually relaxed, but when provoked, will not hesitate to fight back. He tends to think clearly, even in the heat of battle. He hasn't been a warrior for very long.

Description: Dark grey, with light grey feet and tailtip.

Description: Black with light blue eyes which tend to creep others out, fangs are white and extremely sharp along with a somewhat mangled tail due to a small skirmish long ago.
Personality: Can be quiet and shy, but can also be loud and outgoing, he is serious when need be and is considered smart. It alldepends on the atmosphere ofthe area he is in.

Personality: A caring soul, he believes his duties as a healer extend beyond WindClan. However, he is careful to not stray far from his duties, as he is under Desertstar's watchful eye.

Appearance: As the name suggests, a grey cat with black stripes. His eyes are a brackish green, and his whiskers are prematurely grey.
Personality: Quiet and thoughtful, Flintpelt doesn't usually like fighting- rather ironic, since his father, the former WindClan deputy Goldfoot, was a positive monster in combat. However, Flintpelt nonetheless fought well in the conflict against the birds and felled cats, and continues to do so into the present time. He is friendly with most cats, regardless of Clan; however, he is wary of the SkyClan cats who claim to be returned from exile. While he knows Runningheart from her apprenticeship to his father, he is not very good friends with her.

Personality: Quick to decide, he chooses not to battle most of the time. He's very peaceful, and enjoys fish almost the most of anyone in Riverclan. He has gotten a nickname from that, "Fishstar".

Description: Is blue-grey, with orange ears and paws. Is a bit longer compared to other cats.
Personality: Treefrog is an incredibly intelligent cat, a fact agreed upon by cats all over the forest. Although he has the capability to do great things, he's actually quite lazy, dozing on his boulder near sunningrocks when he isn't hunting or patrolling the border. Due to mental trauma as a young kit, his mind has evolved into it's own entity, which Treefrog converses with frequently.

Personality: She is very wary, and only helps cats she knows she can trust. Because Skyclan is always on the move, she is the clan's only way of connecting with Starclan. She speaks regular cat, but replaces certain words with metaphors for the sky, for example: If she means to say "Intruder," she actually says "Storm cloud."

Appearance: a slightly muscular-er cat with grayish fur, but has a line of black fur going down his back,which is sort of like a mohawk.
Personality: A extreamly loyal, yet kind of sadistic fighter. He keeps all his fear, hate, and feelings burried down inside, then releashes it in short, crazy burst. Not exactly healthy, but it gets him by.

IC: Darkpaw was also out in the dawn. The light felt nice on his black colored fur and he wouldn't have wished the sun to feel any different. His blue eyes scanned the area for perhaps another just to talk to or interact with as being on one's own for a long period of time could get to be rather boring.

IC: Treefrog's eyes snapped open, as the sun struck a shiny shell outside and light flooded the warrior's den. A device of his own design, it worked wonderfully as heads started rising around him, yawns heard throughout the den. Treefrog himself got up and stretched, before heading outside, soon followed by most of the other warriors.

At once, he started organizing several patrols, he himself going to patrol the windclan border. He noted buds starting to appear on the massive willow trees overhead, before diving into the water and swimming with a few clanmates through the river.

IC: Darkpaw being at the moment slightly bored as to his knowledge there were no patients that needed examining and he was sure that if there were, someone (including his superior) may find him and tell him so he can go fix the problem the best he can.

He stretched his body as he had missed the opportunity to do it earlier and continued walking for a bit as a morning stroll.

OOC:

Ah...so Teebs is back at it. Wait to go for getting it up- I don't think I'll join but good luck and have fun being back in the world of RPGin'.

Ok, let me just understand this... kinda... (I haven't read any of the books or anything).

So in this RPG we play as cats. Like small, furry, meow-meow cats? Except they're... um... 'wild'? And belong to clans and things; and as essentually primitive human society, if you can call it that... sounds intresting, to say the least...

OOC: In a nutshell: yes.

Absurd as it may seem, it's actually quite fun, and the books are good reads. And even if you don't get it all at first, you can still join anyway and have fun. That's the whole reason I created the crash-course - to allow people who've never read the books to be able to play.

Though I still recommend you read the books

The, mkay, yes, furry little wild cats.
With very sharp claws.
They like kill eachother and stuff.

Think of them as Knights, they're all honourbound and stuff, prideful, chivalrous... and... uh... fluffy.

IC:Hawknose got back from hunting with 2 rabbits so he dropped them on the freshkill pile looked around and noticed a kit 'Roarkit' lying asleep by Desertstar's feet so. Hawknose just purred to himself before taking a rabbit and going to eat in the hallow.

ic: Sharpclaw sat around at the Riverclan warrior's den, because there was really nothing for him to do at the moment. He just sat there waiting for something to do, listening to the beautiful sounds of the forest around him.....

Azurepaw sat in a comfortable position, he was tired after the Hunting Patrol, but he'd brought home plenty of prey. He wondered if Hawkstorm would still let him to the the gathering, what with his performance during battle-training...

OOC: tAT, it's actually "skyclan." Starclan are the cat's warrior ancestors, and are in no way new.

IC: Winterstar sat on the reed rock, pondering over who to take to the gathering. There was a small problem, being that Blizzard cloud had to stay behind in case Mudtail's kits came. Usually an apprentice could handle this kind of situation, but Blizzardcloud's old one had died a while back of a bad case of greencough.

To make matters worse, this was to be a very important gathering, and it was also vital for Blizzardcloud to attend.

Winterstar finally called Blizzardcloud.

"We have a small predicament on our hands. You need to come to the gathering tonight, but Mudtail's kits..."

"I thought this might be a problem, so I spent a part of the day collecting some herbs to make a poultice that should put her down. She'll be sleeping like a kit for a while, but it should keep the kits from coming."

"I trust you, Blizzardcloud, but these kits..." Winterstar looked away.

"They're your kits, aren't they?" Blizzardcloud finished for him.

Winterstar nodded solemnly.

"Don't worry, everything will be fine. I'll even walk some of the warriors through the procedure, should the herbs somehow fail. Winterstar, I have to be at the gathering tonight."

"Yes, you're right." Winterstar said after a few moments of silence.

While Winterstar started calling out the names of the cats who would be going, Blizzardcloud summoned one of the she-cat warriors not going to give her instructions, then went to feed the poultice to Mudtail.

IC: After eating with Azurepaw, Blazeclaw was feeling more confident about the camp's defenses.
"This gathering shall be quite interesting," he thought to himself, "With what I have been told, five clans at the Fourtrees, this might get a little crowded."

OOC:

IC: Swiftclaw was finishing off a vole he had picked for himself when he began thinking about the Gathering that night. This will be an interesting one, to say the least... he thought. I wonder what this SkyClan will have to say, and what the Clans will do about this whole situation. Swiftclaw stood up and stretched, his meal now finished. "I wonder which cats Snowstar picked to go to the Gathering anyway."

IC: Snowstar walked back into Shadowclan camp after dropping off Icepaw with Desertstar.

"All right, everybody!" he shouted. "Get ready, we're heading to the Gathering!"

OOC: All PCs are included.

OOC: Am I included? I can't really go anywhere on a broken leg.

OOC: You can too Snoopy, so long as the injury isn't really bad. Otherwise it would be fine for Darkpelt to go.

IC: Blazeclaw was starting to get impatient, he was wondering what was taking the other clans so long. Meanwhile, he decided to take the time to talk to his leader."Hello Streakstar, you seem very... distant tonight."
OOC: Um, I was wondering if Disky was going to update the profiles, Thunderclan's say's I'm an apprentice.

Streakstar jumped at that. He cursed himself silently for letting his emotions draw out too much. He didn't care that he was the youngest leader, he was a leader nonetheless, and this pout-ish mood couldn't allow to show.

"Yes....I'm just deeply thinking about the Skyclan. How large they are, or what would happen if they focused all their efforts on one of the clans. I can tell by their borders they must be an absolutely huge clan."

Then, out the corner of his eye, he noticed something that hadn't been there before. A small twig had risen from the center of the great oaks, a sapling. Blazeclaw followed his gaze, and gasped in surprise as well. Streakstar immediatly sent him to get Fernstem and Hawkstorm.

"Well well....what have we here? The other clans had better hurry and show. This could be a very important from Starclan."

OOC:
I'm sure you could make it to the Gathering, Snoopy. A Shadowclan apprentice or two could help support you while you walk, albeit your characters embarrassment.

Azurepaw waited impatiently for the gathering to start, he really wanted to DO something. He decided to pass the time by looking at the other clans cats.

IC: RoarPAW ran excitedly to his first Gathering, tripping over his feet more than once. Once he had arrived, he looked around for Runningheart.

OOC: I STILL CAN'T GET IT RIGHT!

Azurepaw watched in amusement, a small Whit kit was practically tripping over himself to get to the gathering, not unlike when he'd first gone to the gathering.

OOC: So, I'm assuming Windclan is just starting to arrive, Riverclan has yet to get there, and Shadowclan is preparing to leave camp, while nobody has seen head or tail of Skyclan yet.

IC:
Streakstar noticed that Windclan was watching, and had just been given command to enter Fourtrees. Desertstar, the eldest of the leaders, soon joined Streakstar upon the bottom of the great oaks.

"Desertstar, please get your deputy and medicine cat. I want all three of you to see what we came across..."

Streakstar nodded toward the center of the four oaks.

"Meet me there."

IC: "So, another tree at the Fourtrees, maybe Skyclan really is returning" thought Blazeclaw.
After thinking it over for a minute, he turned his gaze toward where Windclan was arriving.

IC: After traveling for a while, Fourtrees was in sight, and it looked like some Clans were already there. Siftclaw led the clan towards the clearing, and saw that cats there were from WindClan and ThunderClan. "Hmm, no sign of SkyClan yet..." he said as he sat down to look around.

OOC: Orichalcon - How would Roarpaw know who Runningheart is, let alone know her personally, if this is his first time coming to a gathering to meet other clan cats?

Unless he knew of her from a story about the dark forest saga, which you might want to mention then.

EDIT: Blegh, sorry. I thought you were from shadowclan there, for some reason. *headdesk*

IC: Blizzardcloud stood in front of his clan, beside Winterstar, as they crossed the twoleg bridge that led to Fourtrees - some cats opting to swim across instead. Once on the other side, the cat rushed through a small strip of trees, and into fourtrees.

Immediately, Blizzardcloud was called over to observe a sapling growing out of the ground. Several other cats had gathered around.

"Another oak?"

"Why, there are four trees..."

"Do you think this means Skyclan is real...?" That sentence silenced everyone else. It was quiet for a few moments, before Blizzardcloud suddenly staggered.

A sentence ripped through his entire mind, sounding as if spoken by hundreds of voices," Before six become five, and water cleanses the forest, blood will fall by sky, yet it will survive..."

As he stood back up, Blizzardcloud found all the other cats staring at him. Instead of sheepishly offering an explanation, Blizzardcloud instead said seriously," Medicine cats come with me..."

He led them to a secluded edge of the clearing, and started talking...

IC: Blazeclaw noticed all the medicine cats huddled in a circle, which was unusual even at a gathering.
"I wonder what they are discussing?" he muttered to himself as he approached cautiously, but the look the medicine cats gave him when he got close told him not to intrude. He decided he would have to talk to Streakstar when they got back to camp.

IC: Darkpaw cracked his neck, he knew that it wasn't good for the joints, but it did feel good. Cats were talking, others weren't so far nothing had happened to catch his attention. He was being quiet as he had nothing worth to say at the moment and he just waited there patiently and calmly.

IC: Rock Paw glared suspiciously at the other clans. "Oh now you welcome us back." he almost said allowed. But he stopped himself. He had to keep himself in line. He felt great rage bellow up in him.

But he knew his own feelings toward them didn't matter now, all that mattered was following orders, and he wasn't ordered to make side comments

OOC: Hey new people

IC:
Streakstar quickly turned to Runningheart, "We'll finish this discussion after the Gathering." He turned back to the Skyclan deputy.

"We're gravely sorry for any misconceptions our clans' ancestors might have had about you. But we're pretty sure Starclan demands you stay now. Please follow me."

The deputy and medicine cat both followed Streakstar to the Fourtrees, where the other three leaders had been waiting. Desertstar, in his slowly crankier old age, demanded, "What took Skyclan so long, anyways?"

Fallenleaf growled back,
"Why would you ca-"
"There was a misunderstanding in who was going, that's all."

Ashdream said, but without the usual air-involved speech she normally had. Her eyes were also very guarded. Streakstar made a note to remember that for future reference. Snowstar then spoke to Desertstar,

"No matter, they're here to stay, and lets not forget they have the greatest distance to travel."

Fallenleaf replied,
"Here to stay? As in, you're wanting us back?"

Snowstar continued,
"Yes, and so does Starclan. Look."

The Skyclan cats followed the other leaders up the the center of the four oaks, where the other medicine cats had been standing. Inbetween them, was a small fifth sapling. The Skyclan cats let out a short gasp, followed by satisfied purrs.

"Indeed. Now can we start this Gathering, or not?"
Winterstar's annoyed voice broke the silence.

OOC: Hey, is Skyclan's leader attending this Gathering E?
