SO ANYWAY

Another MOC.

Point is, I made this for ~Shadow Kurahk~'s blog contest, Unseen Glory.

Mavrah always was one of those interesting characters for me. I'm not really sure why, but I found him fascinating. Pity he was only in one book. Biosector says he has a Purple Pakari, but I don't know why. Says nothing of it in the books, and as far as I know Greg only confirmed that it was a Pakari through PMs, but not it's color. Purple FTW anyway.

So this MOC didn't take long to make. Maybe a week, but that was just piddling with it from time to time. Probably only took a couple hours of actual work.

Originally he had Purple feet, but that made him too Onepu.

Fingers were Exo Force bot arms, but I decided to try something different. I dunno if it worked or not. Thoughts?

His backpack was originally orange, but it stood out too much. I like tan better.

I really like the frog-shaped heartlight. Shows his love for Rahi.

Hmmm... The chest seems to stick out a bit too much, IMO. The rest is great, however, I'm a big fan of purple.

Ooo nice purple system slope there.

I like the torso and upper arms, a small flat liftarm should be on top of those ovals though. Legs are kind of odd, but the articulation looks very nice. Hands are a nono. The pics do look pretty good. Waist articulation on this small of a build is also pretty impressive.

I don't ever put my fingers that way. I think it looks odd(er), and they can't grip anything.

Too skinny? They seem too wide to me. Do you mean too skinny in terms of depth?

First of all, PURPLE. Excellent. I love it, although I wish you'd have distributed it better on the legs. I know how hard it is on something of that size, though...

The backpack attachment looks akward. If you could have made it so that it didn't attach to the sides of his neck, it'd be even more awesome.

I really like the arms, especially the hands. Those are great. I hope you make more with those.

Heartlight is great. It's from Mars Mission, right? And the rest of the torso flows really well.
I like how small it is, actually.

The legs are long for a Matoran, but that's good. I always thought they looked too pudgy.

Despite all that criticism, I really like this. Nice job!

The fingers are skeletony and it looks better on top. No matter where you put it, there'll be no grip.
Torso is pretty win. Like the frog. But maybe instead of being so spiky, use 4 black 1x1 slopes?
Legs/Feet need more purple. Even if he looks like Onepu...because right now, he looks pretty Onepu in terms of color. =/ Maybe just add Purple Ball Joints o something, instead of black ones for the top legs.
Liking the arm design, although the sticking out axle looks funky. Add another plate? Or will that be too wide?

Tempest, a system mecha I'm working on, has similar hands. Modified and better though.

I only have... three of those. And at one time, I hade a 1x2 plate with a stud in the center, and the 1x1 slopes coming out of that, but I liked this a bit better.

I think that'd be too wide. But I agree, the axle doesn't look good sticking out like that.

I agree, this MOC looks like it was made fast. But that's not necessarily a bad thing, as it has a unique torso design (and frog heartlight to boot! ), and a neat backpack. Although I think he looks a bit too tall and thin, which is paradoxical when you consider that most Onu-Matoran are short and squat. Plus, while he has fingers at the very least, they look wierd. It's just that their assembly seems weak, and he has no thumbs.

Oh well, it's still a decent Matoran MOC for the contest, if not quite as magical as Takua and Matoro.

I absolutely love the torso and legs. The arms seem to be attatched to the torso too low, and the fingers are somewhat awkward, but overall, good MoC.

Fingers don't tend to work on Matoran in general; and I also don't like this new design too much. However, it might work on some sort of evil titan, methinks.

The fingers are a bit odd but over all it's a good mock. I like the distribution of colour however the legs are lacking some purple.

Please don't tell me how something is "supposed" to be. I do not like the fingers on the outside, never have, probably never will. Besides, Hydraxon had them on the inside.
