The Box

Front
Back
Size

The box is huge, probably the same size as Axalara's. The front features the vehicle in a rather epic pose, precariously stepping over lava and firing a thornax. Also, the Bionicle logo, along with age rating and set number, is emblazoned in gold. Near the bottom there is a smaller picture of Telluris standing next to Skopio in it's tracked vehicle form. Very cool.

The back features pictures of the set's features, including jaws that snap back into position (via rubber band), the raisable tail, the midak force blasters and of course the spiky thornax launcher. The back also shows how to convert Skoipio from walker mode to tracked mode, adverts for Baranus and Thornatus, and an advert for the BIONICLE ACTION FIGURE GAME.

The Build

Bags
Telluris in tatters
The face of Telluris
"If I put this here..."
Leg
Leg-Leg
Legs again
Shiny new pieces
'Hip'
Bare bones
Tail
Armor
Voila
Side

The build is enthralling, until you realise that each leg has the exact same build and takes about 20 minutes to complete. Very repetitive. The main body has a fairly straightforward build similar to the 2008 vehicles, only without gears/cogs. All in all, the build should take about an hour and a half to two hours. LEGO has included some new ideas and pieces, and used them very well.

Telluris is very simple, but also looks great and is much taller than any other Agori. However, he does have zigzag arms.

The Set

This
Set
Is
Awesome
Size Comparison with Axalara, Metus, Tarix and Takanewva

The set itself is very nice, and each legs has four pistons to provide stability, and this adds to the playability of the walker mode. Fold the legs in, and you get the tank mode, which I think is the better mode. Telluris can ride either sitting down or laying on his front. Weapons include the two midaks force blasters, the thornax, antroz-blade springy jaws, and spikes. The only thing that bothers me is that it uses a grey glatorian hand to affix the thornax launcher. It looks very odd.

Pros:
*Huge
*Great playability
*Looks awesome
*Is a tank

Cons:
*Legs are stiff
*No real functions
*Whopping price tag

All in all, if you have the money I highly recommend getting Skopio.

Oh, and I got him at Argos in the UK for £60.

Any picture requests will be fulfilled (if possible).

Man, I still think Telluris should have been a Glatorian, not an Agori. tongue.gif
Nice review, though.

Well, you don't really need the comparison, you have the measurements.

Also, it looks like a really cool set, but I'm probably going to wait for a sale. $90 is A LOT, A LOT, A LOT!

Size Comparison

And, even though I did already say it, it took me about an hour and a half to two hours to build and I got it at Argos.

EDIT: He does have to lie down in tank mode, but it does look nicer.

Awesome! Now we have reviews of all the big three vehicles. That was a nice one, thanks for taking so many pictures.

This seems like a really good set. I'll have a hard time choosing between this and Thornatus. Probably I'll choose the Thornatus due to its many appearances in TLR and more blaster (I wub.gif blasters, smile.gif ), but this review really made me consider Skopio.

I also think it's awesome that he has to lie down in tank mode. That seems like the sort of thing you should do to pilot a tank.

Do want.

Anyway;
- How well does the jaw function work?
- Does the tail stay in place?
- How many (+ O) pieces does it have?

1) It's not really a 'function', but if you open the jaws they snap back nicely and make a decent biting motion.
2) If you raise it fully or retract it fully, yes. However, if it's at an angle it drifts down. It's only on a pair of friction pegs.
3) Twenty.

Good review. I'm quite chuffed now, because I don't have to spend £60 just to review a set, and I'm not hugely fond of it now I see it. So thanks.

If only it was a different color... we got a giant red set last year. =/
(But this looks cooler than Axalara... still wish it was dark blue or tan or something.)

Hey, is Telluris orange, or is he that yellow-orange stuff that comes in Mata Nui?

All in all, I think know I'll get it, it's really cool looking. happy.gif

Thanks for the review - this set looks awesome, and I'm definitely getting it if I have the money. Great construction, and the transforming function is simply amazing.

Just one question: do the armor pieces on the sides of the turret fold open and closed when the turret is elevated and lowered? That is what it looks like in some pictures I have seen, but it's never been mentioned; plus you said the vehicle had no gears and the turret is only attached by friction pegs.

What a great set. With a box bigger than the Axalara's, a giant transforming vehicle in the shape of a monstrous scorpion, and well-designed pilot, this set is worth the 100+ dollars that you're charged for it's purchase.

I envy all you foreigners who are able to purchase your favourite seasonal sets early. >_<

Darn, that's impressive. I'm vastly surprised as to how good it looks in both forms, and there appears to be a good variety of parts therein. Tellurius alone has some very nice recolours. In spite of that, I don't think I'll bother.

Telluris is keetorange, unfortunately. And the armor at the rear does not move with the tail and has to be moved manually.
