BZP members may recall that Kopaka is plummeting from a shattered ice bridge at the end of Comic #9. Well, he gave me a call yesterday to discuss the Short Story I posted recently about the dream he had about it (Kopaka’s Nightmare).

akakunu.gif Kopaka Suspended

GaliGee: Hello, Kopaka! It's good to hear from you.

Kopaka: GaliGee, why did you post that terrible story about me on BZP? Isn't it bad enough that I've got to hang in mid-air for two months until comic #10, wondering whether I'll live or die?

GaliGee: You must mean "Kopaka's Nightmare."

Kopaka: That's the one. You wrote a whole epic about Onua, where he got to be the big hero. But in mine, I'm a guy with no powers, falling from a bridge.

GaliGee: I'm sorry, Kopaka. I'll be happy to change anything you have a problem with. My intent was to let my BZP readers know what's going through your mind right now.

Kopaka: You mean like the joke about the bug hitting the windshield?

GaliGee: What jo-- oh, no, that's awful!

Kopaka: Well, I feel like that stupid bug right about now.

GaliGee: So, what part of my story should I take out?

Kopaka: You made it sound like I dream about getting dizzy with Gali all the time.

GaliGee: Um, well, you were the one who told me that dream. Did I get it wrong?

Kopaka: Not really, but...

GaliGee: And I did mention that you were surprised she was in your dream.

Kopaka: Oh, yeah, you did. I mean, I hardly ever dream about her.

GaliGee: I see.

Kopaka: Only two or three times a week, at most.

GaliGee: Um, right. I figured the Great Beings sent you that dream to give you wisdom and encouragement.

Kopaka: Kind of like Gali's vision of the Toa Kaita, when we were first fighting the Rahi?

GaliGee: Exactly.

Kopaka: OK, well, you can leave that in, then. I just don't want Gali to read your story and think that I want her to come throw snowballs at me or something.

GaliGee: Aww, that sounded pretty fun.

Kopaka: Well, it would be, if I weren't falling to my death at the moment.

GaliGee: Personally, I have faith that you will survive and rise to whatever new challenges the Great Beings have set out in your destiny.

Kopaka [laughs]: You sound like Pohatu.

GaliGee: Well, thanks. He's a smart guy.

Kopaka: Gali explained it to me like this. Tahu and I have a lot of knowledge. We are really good at seeing how things work, analyzing things, down to the finest detail. Even though Tahu sometimes acts on impulse anyway. Now, Gali and Onua have more wisdom than the rest of us. They step back and see the big picture, and synthesize new understanding from it. And Pohatu and Lewa operate on instinct a lot. They assess a situation accurately without even consciously reasoning through it. That's why Pohatu always figures me out before I do. It's annoying sometimes.

GaliGee: I remember, you guys were in each other's face about that when I interviewed you all, before you went into the Bohrok nest.

Kopaka: What were we arguing about again?

GaliGee: You were mad because he revealed to me your feelings for --

Kopaka: Uh, yeah, I remember. That jerk.

GaliGee: Well, I'm sorry I reminded you of something unpleasant at a time like this.

Kopaka: It's OK. I can't ever stay mad at Pohatu. He's too cool. And a really great friend.

GaliGee: I can see that. So, did I get his part in the story right?

Kopaka: Yep. He was there to lift up my head, and inspire me to fulfill my destiny as a Toa. Whatever the adversity I face.

GaliGee: That IS a good friend. How about Onua and Lewa?

Kopaka: That part of the dream was really crazy. I think they were there to remind me how foolish it is to fight each other. I mean, they've fought each other for real before, in the Rama hive and when Lewa was wearing the krana. You know that big dent in Onua's shoulder? Oh, I guess it's gone now, after the protodermis bath. But THAT fighting was for a good reason.

GaliGee: It’s funny that they're such good friends, even though their elements are really opposite.

Kopaka: You should see Onua do a back flip. Or rather, you should hear him land! And he taught Lewa to dig, so they play tag in the tunnels and ambush each other. They're always picking on each other, but it's all in jest.

GaliGee: What about Tahu? Can you learn to get along with your opposite?

Kopaka: If I live, I suppose I need to go make peace with that lousy son of a dog.

GaliGee: There are dogs on Mata Nui?

Kopaka: Yep. Herd dogs, in Po-Koro. [sighs] I know it’s important to forgive. But it would be easier if he would just stop being so... hot-headed...

GaliGee: Don't hold your breath, Kopaka. That's just the way he is.

Kopaka: True.

GaliGee: So what would you think if he came to rescue you from falling?

Kopaka: If I had to depend on Tahu to save me, I wouldn't have a snowball's chance in -- oh, you can't say that on BZP, can you?

GaliGee [laughs]: No. But don’t you think he would help a fellow Toa?

Kopaka [reluctantly]: Yeah, he would.

GaliGee: And speaking of BZP, and saving you, I started a poll on BZP about who would save you.

Kopaka: Aaargh! And I suppose you have a few side bets going, too? Don't think for a minute that just because you look like Gali, that I won't crush your miserable little house with an ice storm!

GaliGee: Oh, Kopaka! I didn't mean to upset you! And no one is placing any bets!

Kopaka: I'm just kidding, GaliGee. I don't even have any ice powers any more, remember?

GaliGee [breathes again]: Yes, I remember.

Kopaka: A poll, huh?

GaliGee: Say, Kopaka, what would me looking like Gali have to do with anything?

Kopaka: Don't push your luck.

GaliGee: Um, the answer that got the most votes was "Kopaka himself."

Kopaka: Really? How?

GaliGee: Well, some members thought you might hook your blades into the side if the cliff, or spin them like a helicopter rotor.

Kopaka: Cool ideas!

GaliGee: Or maybe you could build something with all those chunks of ice.

Kopaka: Hmm...

GaliGee: The choice with the next most votes was Tahu.

Kopaka [sarcastically]: Great.

GaliGee: And some thought it could be Gali, since she didn't want you Toa to split up.

Kopaka [sighs]: As if...

GaliGee: Or Lewa, with his Miru, or Nuju, with his Matatu. Or even some tamed Bohrok.

Kopaka [laughs]: I suppose it's possible.

GaliGee: But in any case, we don't think you'll die. I mean, LEGO doesn't kill off heroes.

Kopaka: They haven't yet, anyway. I should have gone to work for Disney. No one ever dies in Winnie-the-Pooh.

GaliGee: Now, now, Kopaka. Besides, the prophesies say, "Six heroes, one destiny." Not "Six heroes for a little while -- then five, one destiny."

Kopaka: So did you just call me to give me a history lesson?

GaliGee: Actually, you called me.

Kopaka: Oh, yeah. I AM losing my mind. I was getting really bored up here.

GaliGee: Well, anyway, I'm glad you called. Now, is there anything you want me to change in that story?

Kopaka: No, it's all right as it is. But if Gali ever asks you, I'm NOT obsessed with her, OK?

GaliGee: She'll never ask me that.

Kopaka: Good.

GaliGee: Say, have you seen your Nuva movie? It was on bionicle.com for a little while.

Kopaka: Really? Man, I missed it!

GaliGee: It’s really good. It shows you skating around, doing flips and twists, jumping crevasses, basically showing off. Then you split off a piece of the cliff and three Kohrak fall, leaving their krana spinning in mid-air.

Kopaka: Sweet!

GaliGee: And you did get to be a hero in my Onua epic. Remember how you saved him from a Muaka? Twice!

Kopaka: Oh, yeah. Too bad I had to freeze him.

GaliGee: I think he's grateful, anyway.

Kopaka: Maybe he'll save ME this time.

GaliGee: That's how I voted in the poll. He's really good at that.

Kopaka: Hmm... You tease me about Gali, but you and Onua...

GaliGee: Now cut that out, Kopaka! You know we're just friends. But you, you ARE obsessed with Gali.

Kopaka: Hey! When I get my ice powers back, I'm going to freeze your --

GaliGee: Aha! You DO have faith you'll live, and get your elemental powers back.

Kopaka: Yeah, I guess I do. Thanks for cheering me up, GaliGee. I guess I should let you go now.

GaliGee: You're welcome! You know I have faith in you. And in all the Toa. Sweet dreams, Kopaka!

Kopaka: Very funny. Brace yourself, Sister, it's gonna be a long, coooooold winter.

GaliGee: I'll just be glad when you have your ice powers back!

Kopaka: Me, too. See ya, GaliGee! [click]

We’ll all be relieved, I think – except for the enemies of Mata Nui. This is GaliGee reporting.

Gee, nice going! Now we're in for a winter lasting until July!

But it was pretty funny. You should make the link under interviews, though.

Oh, thanks for posting that! Now my house is currently surrounded by 3 inches of snow!
J/K, although there is snow here, and it really is a weird coincedence...

Well, great story! I'm starting to notice that a lot of your stories are starting to intertwine, or at least there are refrences to each of them in a lot of your stories!

"Kopaka: Well, it would be, if I weren't falling to my death at the moment."
That part was hilarious!

Thanks, you guys! tongue.gif I consider myself lucky, that the Toa will actually confide in me, even though they know their intimate secrets will be plastered all over the Comedy forum the next day... rolleyes.gif

There will be more in this Dream series, and yes, Groucho, they are all very much intertwined. (It's all part of my bizarre personal Bionicle storyline. wacko.gif ) In fact, if you read them all you will see some of the same events from several different perspectives. Gali's next.

::Nova falls out of her chair laughing and sends the cats scrambling up the stairs::

Oh dear God...that was just too funny! wub.gif I wub it! Kopaka...ever cold, intense, straightlaced, and a perfectionist, that's just BEGGIN' someone to write interviews and other silly stuff to go and happen to him. But nobody ever does it quite like you! This was hilarious! laugh.gif

Really though...I think he needs a hug. Badly. Wonder how he'd feel if a Bohrok with a fetish for fan fiction came up and hugged him... tongue.gif

Thanks, you guys! Yes, Kopaka needs a hug... badly. If he had a childhood, I'm sure his parents were cold and distant.

KToI, Kopaka sure put himself through a lot to get Gali's sympathy! rolleyes.gif

Gk, in my "Gali Interviews GaliGee" story, Gali envies the Barbies for their Dream House, pink Corvette, and peaceful life. But I convince her the other Toa are way cooler than Ken. Can you picture Kopaka in the Hundred Acre Wood?

Pooh: I've got a rumbly in my tumbly.

Kopaka: It's called "hunger," Fat Boy. Want some honey? *freezes bees and scoops some honey out of the hive for Pooh*

Pooh: Mmmmfffgggbmmm.

Rabbit: That was impressive, Mr. Ice-Robot-Man. Now can you stop Tigger from bouncing on my vegetables?

Kopaka: Sure, you buck-toothed freak. Here you go. *freezes Tigger*

Piglet: Oh, d-d-d-dear!

Kopaka: Got a problem, you pink pipsqueak?

RapToa, Onua and I are just friends. I mean, just because I wrote two epics about him, and he took me on a 3000-mile round trip to LEGOLand on the back of his Harley, doesn't mean there is anything going on between us. OK, so maybe I have a little bitty crush on Onua, but you'd better not tell him, or I'd be, like, SOOOOOO embarrassed...

TOL, Kopaka was just trying to get even with me. I only have a little itty bitty crush on Onua. unsure.gif (Actually, I do think Kopaka's kinda cute, too. But if he heard anyone call him that, he would probably smack them with the back side of his ice blade. laugh.gif )

bahrag1.gif Well, Kopaka's threat either must not have truecome, or else he is grabtaking power from my snowbright, sunsoaring village of Anchorage-Koro (for those of you who don't know, Anchorage is in Alaska) because we had a hardluck ski-season that year, and the snow and ice kept dissapearing in the middle of Anchorage-Koro's winter(from about September to April), AND it only lasted about from December to ( ? I'm not sure)! Anyway, as of Mask of Light, only Tahu (Nuva) has shown attraction to Gali tongue.gif bahrag2.gif
