Alrighty then, I must re-post the whole topic here.Takutanuva review ![]() Takutanuva has one difficulty, his ballance. You have to lean him foward and his tall mass makes him look goofy bent over like that. If you stand him straight up, just a tiny vibration sends him toppling flat on his back. And the side of the body with the staff rotates out tword you, because of the tilting forward. ![]() Well, first off, while building Takutanuva, you notice it is built alot different from Makuta. Some is the same, like the legs and feet, the front looks kinda like Makuta, but the construction is a lot different. For one, the whole upper body is built around the Toa/Nuva torso (Look below for example). ![]() ****** ![]() Takutanuva can also hold his staff like this, with some seperating of his mighty weapon then putting back together. And why use the Kraahkan if you don't make it where there are 2 modes for it? So what I say is, He is a 7/10 combiner. He is huge, a little back heavy, his body likes to turn, he has some cool blades on his back, and above all... He is going to be in the MoL movie. A Great Combiner for 2 great sets. -------------------- |

My rahkshi review...
Kurahk:one of my faves. the white on his head and feet is pearly white and very shiny. the orange light in his eyes stands out against his white skull and gives an eiree look.looks best in kicking position.A+ Panrahk:very interesting spine design. like how the spines criss-cross. saff maches power with the tri-blade. really looks as if it can generate the power to desroy things.A+1/2 Vorahk:The best staff. looks mechanicle. like Panrahk, Vorahk's staff looks like it can drain power. very fun to lock onto toa-nuva neck. like Kurahk, orange eyes really stand out. very interesting spine. drill design is very interesting.A+ Turahk:N/A Gurahk:N/A lerahk:N/A Overall:The Rahkshi are alot bigger than toa and are much more flexible, allowing them to give a very serpentine scene. like the staff design. the legs are very good for MoCs. A+ ----------------------------------------Kohtu----------------------------------------- -------------------- sig removed, read the rules.

I'm going to review the exo-toa :
I really enjoyed building the exo-toa. The complexity of the set makes it kind of hard to build but you get the hang of it. I liked the way the head flipped back so the toa could fit in. Once you get it built, the exo-toa has large arms and legs that are able to be turned. Also, it has a large technic cannon that can be used to punch open a bohrok's head and a claw arm that can be used to disable Cahdok and Gahdok. Gripes: I have two problems witht the Exo-toa: a) putting the Toa in the exo and And now the ratings: Building Experience: 10/10 Playing Experience: 9/10 Possing Experience: 7/10 Overall: 8.5/10 I really liked the exo-toa and I hope that they bring them back to the story soon (not to mention that I can blow off Tahu's head). -------------------- "It's too bad she won't live. Lewa eat WORLD!!!'s New Matoran review:
WEll , I just got two of the brand new-style Matoran in the mail today , Hewkii and Macku m adn well , i decided ot make a review about the two of them , PLEASE NOTE THAT I DONT KNOW HOW TO POST PICTRES SO I DONT NOT HAVE PICS , BUT THIS REVIEW WILL BE PROOF ENOUGH! Okay , scince Hewkii*luaghs* I'm sorry , but Hewkii is such a funny name , and Macku are baiscally made the same , i will be rviewing thme both at the same itme Now , lets begin , shall we? PACKAGING (9/10 ) Lets start with the box they come in , for Hewkii , just look at the most recent updat on Bionicle.com that pic of Hewkii is the same one on the box. The box says 25 pieces abd are recommended for ages 7 and up , but still , they are fine for me! the back of the box shows a group picture of all the Matoran ,: IN this order from left to right TOP ROW : Kopeke , Hewkii , Macku (oddly , her OLD name of MAKU is on the back of the box ) BOTTOM ROW : HAFU (Yes ,even though he looks like Taipu , it appears that Leog decided to go with the mistake and swap names ) , Hahli (loks just like her from the MNOLG II or MNOG II ) and Matoro , notive that , if you include Jaller in the GUkko BIrd kti ,adn Takua in the Pewku kit , THERE ARE NO LE-MATORANS IN THE LINEUP! , whic his odd , considereing that the otehr five types of matoran are in the line up! on the bottom of the back ogf hte box is an image of a really , REALLLY ugly combiner, it shows a version of matoro with two Kolhii sitcks adn a dinosaur like thing as his comapnion made of Macku Hewkii and Kopeke , odd , its not all the cool , forutanley , it doesnt tell ya how to build them. INSIDE : (10/10) well , the first thing you will notice is a BOHROK-KAL comic is inside the Matoran boxes! this is odd consdiering the Bohrok-Kal have been defeated an the story has moved on! but still , lets continue , the istruciton are nicely dont , the back of each has a Bohrok-Kal , Rahkshi , adn Toa Nuva , the instructions for Hewkii*laughs* have Pohatu Nuva , Pahrahk-Kal , and Panrahk , oddly , Macku has Lewa Nuva , Levahk-Kal , and Lerahk on her insturctions! (gues sthey needed and image for her ) then theres the parts. THe pieccesare as follow : -1 Kolhii Stick -1 Kolhii Puck (notice ,Kolhii now seems more Hockey-like! , Mata-Nui HAS Changed!) -three black pegs (one is extra ) -One LIGHT GRAY Matoran head -One Blue Neck peg (note , the neck CANNOT move ) -Two Matoran feet -Two "Legs" -two Bohrok-Arms -Four "hands" -One Mask -Two black 1 inch studs -One gear -One torso -one main chest -on grey size 3 peg Play factor (9/10) These things are awesome , the matoran are very poseable an really neat! THe Kolhii puicks arer contianed in the Kolhii stick , so oyu can carry the stuff on the go! The arms look a BIT odd but its fine , and the only problem I had was that Hewkii *giggle* has problkems with getting the Kolhii stic kform his hands , ah well.. otherwise , these things are a MUST HAVE series sets , put the doubts that ya had aside , for these things are so nmuch un that oyu will ofrget the complaints you had about them! OVERALL : 10/10 BUY THE NEW MATORAN! NOW! -LeW -------------------- Thanks to Shadow Scythe for this awesome Faust VIII banner ![]() [Reference Desk][What is "Proto Energy"?][The Q&A topic directory[Who are Premier Members? ] |

I just got the Takanuva set today and I'm going to review it:
Building Experience: I enjoyed building Takanuva and the Ussanui almost as much as the Exo-Toa. It took me about 20 minutes to build the Ussanui. I especially liked how the gears were placed and how they are more in the middle of the set. The Kal parts were well placed and and the Gahlok piece neatly protects the Hau Olda. Another good part of building the set were the tubes that are placed in front. I always like tubes in a Bionicle set because they make it look more futuristic. Playing Experience: The Ussanui and Takanuva are extremely fun to play with and the second form makes it look more like a hover craft. Also, Takanuva's MoL is securly attached making it nearly impossible to knock it off. The flying mode with Takanuva lying on the back looks a lot better than if Takanuva would be sitting up. The clear MoL is also a nice addition. Possing Experience: The Ussanui and Takanuva are very easy to pose and the way that Takanuva can hold his staff also helps the possability. Overall: The Takanuva is a great set to build and even better to play with. I insist that everyone who enjoys Bionicle should buy this set. Building Experience: 9/10 Playing Experience: 10/10 Possing Experience: 10/10 Overall: 9.5/10 -------------------- "It's too bad she won't live. But then again, who does?"--Gaff, Blade Runner

Takua and Pewku: Magna Garurumon a.k.a Kohrak's review:
When the 4 new 2003 sets arrived on my doorstep, I immediately ran to my room and began building. The first one I built was Takua and Pewku. The Box: I must admit the new box designs look awesome. Very engaging. This particular one shows Takua on Pewku climbing up some hilly thingy. Rating: 9/10 The Contents: The usual shebang. You get 221 pieces for your 20 bucks in this set. Takua peices are packaged separately from the Pewku peices, which was pretty helpful. Can't really give a rating for this, but considering the separation of set pieces and dollar to piece ratio, 8/10 The Build: The most enjoyable part besides playing with it. Takua is too darn easy to build. But who cares! Of course, most of the time will be spent building Pewku, and most of the Ussal crab's pieces go into constructing the wheel mechanism underneath that makes the legs scuttle. All in all, it's a pretty fun build, and it's not repetitive. 10/10 The Result: Drumroll, please! After building the set, it's time to examine the finished product. Takua, and as of all the new Matoran, is cool. Only problem, though, is that the body piece makes his back look pointy, and the head is way to forward. Pewku, is just SO DARN COOL, CUTE, AND ALL AROUND AWESOME! But that's just my opinion. Pewku's "action" is as thus: When you roll him (yes, he has wheels, but probably doesn't in the movie) his legs scuttle up and down, making him look like he's really crawling along. This is perfect! Very crab-like! Since Pewku's and Ussal Crab, the Lehvak-Kal shields work great, because they look like crab pincers. They could have been a different color, though. Takua fits snuggly on Pewku, surprisingly, and only falls off if you hold him upside-down. Rating: 10/10. The Play: You can spend hours rolling the dude along, Takua riding on his back. Nuff said. Rating: 10/10 Overall: An awesome set. Besides Takanuva/Ussanui, this is the best August 2003 set! If you're deciding on which one to get, get Takua and Pewku! Overall Score: 9.5/10 Hope you found this review helpful! EDIT: Piccy! Hope the link works! I got the Exo-Toa set a few months ago, and I thought I'd write up a review.
Box: The box is really cool with a giant mech-like creature in a rocky area. It just gives off a "cool" feeling.I had to double check it to make sure it said "Bionicle"( I did not know about bzpower, and hadnt been to bionicle.com yet)9/10 Pieces: It makes a good use of a lot of pieces I have and haven't seen before. I liked building it and its complex design, but easy buildability reminded me of the boxor.Though there was one place that I misunderstood the instructions and had to go back several steps. 8/10 Playability: This set is great to play with or to display. You can battle against a swarm of bohroks, or recreate the battle between Cahdok and Gahdok(if you have them) This set is easy to pose, but some knee positions would have been welcomed by me. You can use it with a toa/nuva in it, or by itself. 10/10 Overall: I like the feel and look of this top-notch set. I think that since, now in some places, you can grab it for around $20 it is well worth the money. 9/10 <LN> This post has been edited by LinkinNuva: Jun 24 2003, 08:06 PM -------------------- Art: [pixel] [ Nokama Staff ] [ Half-Infected Hau ] [ Takanuva ] [ Kanoka Launcher ] [kits] [ Revolution ]

This is very nice topic!
I have a little review about Tahnok Kal: Leader of the Bohrok Kal has a great handshield and awsome powers. But his arms and legs are painted and something else. Nothing haven't changed... |

Kuurahk:
The box is the first thing to consider, if it is storebought. It is what causes people to buy it, and is what they think of it before they play with it, so if it is not attractive the set is not a success, simple as that. It is a canister, and the first odd thing you notice about it is that the top that opens up is on the bottom, sealed as usual. Odd things are what bring customers, I guess. If it is bought on the net, you must consider the wait. There is a huge wait of time until it comes. Usually, the wait is two, occasionally three days. You can get it overnight, but in my opinion the money is not worth it. Just wait two or three days. Try to get it on a buisness day and NOT before a vacation. Consider that it is shipped twenty four hours after sending in your order (aproximentally) as well. Do the math, and get your set! Yay! It is constructed differently. Unlike in Lewa Nuva or Kohrak Kal, there is little sign of what it is for a while. What is the triangle with pieces on it? Eventually, you can see the shape but not the character. The head starts out as a single orange piece, and then you put the headpiece in. Mistakes are easy, and perspective must be considered. It is certainly, all together, more mobile than any previous set. Now, you can play with it! I am trying to make something on the LSMMS but it isn't working well. You do whatever you want. Yahoo! Rating: Box: 82 % Construction: 39 % Play: 94 % Alltogether: 71.2 % C This didn't score as well as expected... le kal? The blue rurus arn't misprint! the solid blue ones are! gosh.. now lets all do big set reviews! the small sets liek maotran and turugas don't really need e'm!
Now w/ my review: MAKUTA! bwahahah Box: The box, the thing you see on the shelves. I personally like it. It seems more sturdt than other boxes (rahi?) and it thicker. The background is fitting for the movie, and makuta's pose is evil, and doesn't show off the faces on his hands. Colors: Makuta's black and red scheme is great, I mena, woa. BAll black is evil, but blood is red, and the tad of red gives him a sinister look. The silver is good to top it off, giving a finished look. Attack: Makuta's attack is great, but not fitting. He moves swifter than a rahkishi r matoran, w/ the side to side swing f his staff, but for a guy standing upright it doesn't fit. He would be swinging at soemthing taller than he it, an exo a bahrag are really the only targets. Mask(s): The mask of darkness is cool, you betcha! Unlike the olda, its not shiny, w/ is fitting and makes it stand out. Also, unlike the nuva it has hard edges, amking it seem olda.. w/ i guess it is. It can be placed in two modes, notmal, and on the back (box cover) I personally like the more rahkishi look, but in the movie \he will probably use both for something.... Price: Hm.. $19.00? R u kidding? For a guy the size of an exo! Thisa is a steal! believe me! He is odd, but even if you hate the set (weirdos) He is great for moc parts! Unique pieces: Well, lets see: two rahkishi legs, the mask, the staff ends, TWO silver masks of light (only in this set), grey kraata holders, 4 DARK GREAY NUVA CHEST ARMOR! AND TWO DARK SHOULDER ARMOR! (only here) that is the best. Its evil, its dark, contrarty to the silver armor on the nuva. That is great for MOc s. A red maotran torso.. and ya. Overall: This set seems thrownn together, to have no solidity ,but MAkuta forms himself out of junk, so Its fitting. The set comes w/ many unique pieces, and is as big as an exo, not to mention being a steal, and beign the big baddy. He takes 30 mminutews to build max, For your sake: GET HIM! unless you would rather buy a Rahi or w/e.. so for price and parts he gets a 9/10 -------------------- I'm ALIVE! ALIVE! My aunt gave me gurahk, vorahk, and pahrahk, so here's my review!
Containers (all) - They all have nice disigns - hard to open - great pieces inside Gurahk when I first saw all the rahkshi, I said to my self.... "I want the blue one!" The Razer thingy on the his back made him look like that he is the master of tha water! and the staff looks nautical too. and Gurahk is very powerful but I got a stage 1 kraata with it! Vorahk Vorahk's back thingy is kinda like Onua Nuva's chainsaw thingys, and his staff looks like it does steal energy! and for power it also is like Onua's, becuase when Vorahk steals energy, he gets stronger just like Onua's pakari! And it's kraata color combo reminds me of Oreo's! Panrahk Panrahk is very cool like all rahkshi, Overall all rahkshi are really cool I just gave examples! Rahkshi are....... 100% fun 100% cool 100% flexible 100% sturdy 100% good for mocs And they are part of a good breakfast! okay here's my review of Turahk:
Can- When i finnaly got my favorite rahkshi from my local tru the canister still confused me. Anyway while my mom was driving me back i opened it and all the pieces came out (be careful with that) Pieces- 14 new pieces and a couple of recolored ones. The feet are huge the staff is awesome. Building expirence- it's easy no counting holes (phew!) Nothing is hard while building it but be careful about the legs do both t the same time (at the end it say 2x) Playing expirence- Nothing to special move the nob on it's back and it's shoulders twist. Posablitay- so fun! i spent 2 hours thinking of poses Final score- 99.9/ 100- why i rated it lower is becausethe elbows can't move. So if you have the money get it or two! -------------------- Chapter -5- Chapter -5- The search begins part 1 of 3

Review By Depleted Kakama
Makuta: Box: Very eyecatching, would make you stop and look. Menacing pose, and a descriptive, yet wordless back. Build: Very fun, no major problems or tricky parts, very easy and some of the best 'oo's you'll get this side of Mata-Nui. Parts: Some Recolors, some Brand New (Mask of shadows..*drools*) and those silver avohkii. mask design has improved with the addition of Plusrods! makes them seem stronger. Playability: GREAT. Fun to hit Toa with and fun to scheme with.. Value: A STEAL. Mucho Cheapo + Mucho Goodo. Overall: 99.8% because of limited arm movement with staff in both hands. THE MATORAN: The Box: Small, and rather boring, you're not gonna think oo, that looks good. Small back, barely visible combiner. In all a bad box. Build: Nice, and short, just what you'd want from a £1.99 set. Parts: Mostly new apart from hip joints, feet, and pins. Great. Playability: Well, it's fun to make these guys headbonk, and it's a chance to see old masks run up from their gravestones. Value: Brilliant, these guys are wicked. Overall: 99.9% |

![]() Crystal Matrix Review #1 The Manas Don't judge a book by it's cover. They make look like wierd looking little crabs, but these heat-thriving remote controlled beauties are some are some of LEGO's most ingenious deals. The Manas, Makuta's ultimate guardians. First off, this is LEGO's first remote-control set, not counting LEGO mindstorms. A basic function of them is that they can move their treads left and right, up and down and steer in any diriection. Form one controller you can even control both at a time! Up to three Manas can battle close too each other, although the set only includes two. The Building process took me about 30 to 40 minutes, a nice build. The designers created a very interesting way for the claws to move at the same time the tread does. As the building goes on, you get very anxious to test it out. The Playing part is awesome. The goal is to pit two Manas against each other and knock each other's masks off with your claws that jab as you move. Very fun. All in all, I give this set a 9/10 for good play, great build but "gets old" after a while. Still, the Manas are a great addition to your Bionicle collection. -Crystal Matrix -------------------- Links: [ BIONICLE Archive ]

The Boxor Review.
I was suprised today to find a Boxor at my local Wal-Mart. It was the last one, so I just had to get it at the price of 13.45. Let me start off by saying it is well worth this. While not what I expected, It is still really cool. The construction: I don't know how long it took me to build, cause I kept getting interrupted. However, the build itself was great. Very little repition, and it doesn't get annoying. It was fascinating to see how all the gears worked to make the Boxor move. The toy: The toy itself was a surprise to me. The action is great when it comes to punching, but walking does not really work for me. On Nupura I switched the arms so he was normal, and have had no problems whatsoever. I do not like the rubber bands, and switched them out with some black ones I had. I find it easier to push down on the head to make it punch, rather then pushing the arms. I have not yet tried it out on a Bohrok, but will as soon as possible tommarow. Overall: 9.0 Great Toy, well priced, alternate model is great. One Drawback, I do not like the way it "Walks" and really should be seperate from the Arm movement. Buy it, if you can find it for $15 or less. |

Okay, here are my reveiws, I'll be posting one on Takanuva soon.
Hewkii- Price-$3.99 Peices-25 Rating-9/10 Good things-Hewkii is fun to play with and has a great color scheme, along with a really cool kohlii stick. Bad things-The only problem is, the chest swings around too much. Kopeke- Price-$3.99 Peices-25 Rating-8.5/10 Good things-I like the color of his torso, which is white. Bad things-I am not too fond of his color scheme of white and dark gray. I also have Matoro, Macku, all the Rahkshi, and Takanuva, and I will reveiw those later. And if these reveiws didn't really seem so great to you, don't worry, Takanuva's reveiw won't be like these. -------------------- I target more heads than a priest on Ash Wednesday.

Vohrak and Lehrak
the containment units: I love the new design, for one thing it's a good deal larger so you can put more extra pieces in it, for another the design has a distinctly alien feel to it, fitting with what's inside 10 building experience: as is the case with all sets, once you've built one, each successive one gets progressively easier, as is the case with Lehrak, I didn't need to use the instructions, so kudos to Lego (and Leggo my Kudos) for making such a complicated yet intuitive design 10 posability: when you've got a figure than can do the "leaning under the bullets" pose from the Matrix and still stand up, you've got a good thing, about the only thing lacking is a locking mechanism for the staff-swinging gimmick 8 Appearance Vorahk: evangelion unit meets Xenomorph with nasty back spikes Lehrak: Reminds me of the Green Goblin from the spider man movie, only Mangafied by a power of 20 or so, Vorahk and Lehrak 20 (10,10) Overall: for the first time since the toa olda, I'm getting all 6 (and the two remaining nuva I'm missing as well 200 -------------------- SURRENDER OR RUN

Since Makuta has already been reviewed, I will review the Kraata. Keep in mind that I am fond of slugs in general, so naturally I LOVE the Kraata.
8580 Kraata Priceing $1.99 is a steal. They rock. 10/10 The Box Well, Kraata don't really come in a box, they come in a tub. The Bionicle logo is the first thing you'll see. The next thing you'll see is a few big maggoty things coming out of the mist; the Kraata. They look evil and ominous, as benefits Makuta's infected grubs. The red Lego logo stands out against the dark background. Surprisingly, I can't find the word 'Kraata' anywhere on the label. 8/10 for the boringness. The Construction There's just Kraata in there, you don't need to build anything. It also comes with a sticker of a MoL character (a Rahkshi, Makuta, etc.) 1/1 for the Kraata and sticker. The Pieces 3 Kraata swim around in the mostly empty tub. There is plenty of room for more Kraata. 12 Kraata can fit easily in the tub. If you try, you can even get 18 in there. The Kraata are essentially multi-colored maggots/grubs/slugs/whatever. But boy are they ever cool! They squish. They bend. They look like real grubs. They are totally cute if not, in fact, evil. The front has a single stud-piece to attach the Kraata to most Lego Bricks, and a Toa's face of course, if not very lightly. 10/10 for the overall 'evil slug' effect. Play Value Are you kidding me? A lot of people say that they are just Kraata, they don't have much purpose besides Rahkshi, and are useless in MOCs. Such lies! The Kraata are such fun, I've made tons of Kraata-using MOCs. Just look in my sig! Put them in MOCs. Infect your Toa with them. Strike fear into the hearts of Matoran. Catapult them at your sibling. For the fun I've had with them, they deserve a 10/10! Total: 10/10. Kraata are totally worth it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -BH108-

Well, Bonehead did kraata... I love kraata... Cool, gold kraata!
Here is my review: 1-bad 10-good Kohrak Kal The silver armor looks very intriuging with the white main color, and very attractive. The grey axels also blend in more with the rest of the set than any other kal. The 5 finger design on the sonic shields make it very unique from the other kal. A sskk or wmkk would look very good on it. Rating: 8/10 This post has been edited by Kraata2000: Jul 3 2003, 07:31 PM -------------------- |

Im jst gonna reveiw everything i have...Because i dont got much(But ill try to only put 2-3 of eacvh set(toa,Bohrok)).
--Toa -Kopaka The Can=Its cool because the masks fit on the lid.Nice deisgn for the can.Easy and simple7.5/10 The building=Very Easy to build.Kindof fun.6.3/10 Play value=Awsome for playing with! His mask(in my opinion) makes him look like a futuristic fighting robot.Shield and sword make him awsome BUT shelds are not important if they cant black stuff and this thing has Lots of holes! Overall=I would buy it if you dont have it already and its one of the best toa out there. Total Score 9/10 -Lewa The can The can is ok.Boring but ok.The only cool part is the lid.7.3/10 The Building=BORING!!!!!!I think building Lewa will teach you how to use some peices to make things look cool(his hand) PLay Value=Very cool for play value!!!!Not as fun as other sets but still cool!!His Hand is his best feature because it is like "The Hand Of Lewa" Overall=A good set to buy.Second best toa.(Until his transformation) Total Score 8.9/10 --Nui Jaga Box-It is ok on the front but turn it around and BAMM!!!!Cool stuff.Like the combiner...havent made yet(Im not spending another 45 minutes puttin them back together!!!!!).And also some styuff from the web and how the know masks off!And on the side it shows Nui-Jaga vs Tahu! The Building=Yay another "lets build another SAME thing again set"The first one was cool because until about the end it didnt look like a scorpian at all!! PLay Value-Best one out there that i have( i think the coolest would be the manas!REmote control!!) because they hve an attack that can do something!! Overall-Very cool and if you dont got it...BUY IT NOW!!! Total Score-9.9/10 ------Bohrok(will do a totak bohrok review and then the little detail!! These are cool with the snapping heads and the krana place!cool that they can rool into a ball and hiang in there origanal pacagine( I would buy them and only make 2 at a time!cause they get boring! Gahlok-Cool color fro krana...Cool Weapon Lehvak-Good color for krana...Really bad weapon. Its not symetrical!like they dont work! Kohrak-Contains some peices i have used in MOCs.Ok color for krana.REally ReallyCool Weapon!! Pahrak-First bohrok i got so it was cool!!!Bad color(i dont think green and brown go good wit each other)Cool weapon with the rock effect!! Nuhvok-BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...Ok really really bad And the final Reveiw...The Vahi mask of time!!!(And my mocs to go with it) First my Moc(ill get pictures someday!!)And his story Vorhu-The Toa of Fighting! Vorhu was a matoran in onukoro when one day tahu dropped The Vahi and he picked it up and wore it!and he transofremed into toa. He is all black (used peices from nui jaga and onua)And his hands are Pohatus and he has pohatus feet things. He doesnt use the vahi because he fears its power...But he fights hand to hand combat I give him 7.5/10 because i need better parts!!! Ok for the mask..I find it thinner campared to other masks so i dont touch it much for fear that i would brake it...Cool design because it only covers like 65%.I give it a 8.5/10 becuase i didnt touch it to reveiuw. BT!!!(Coming soon Takanuva and Makuta!!) -------------------- ![]() Great words won't cover ugly actions Good frames won't save bad paintings |

Takua & Pewku
MATORAN Building: Easy! needs instructions on the first time, took me less than one minute! Play value: Fun! If i had another matoran i would spend hour's playing head to head kolhii games, even 1 matoran is fun, though! Design: simaler to the rahksi and bohrok, swings it's upper torso (or in makuta's case, swings entire body) It is good, and goes well for the khlii stick, it's leg design is also great. Ovelall: 9.9/10 CRAB Building: unlike the bahrag, which was to slow and long and boring to build, the crab (pewku) was, quick, simple and fun to build. Play value: AWESOME I spent ages shoving it, pushing it, giving takua rides...ahhhh... Design: Too cool, eves could be made a tiny bit smaller, but it doesn't matter. he leg/whells though, makes up for this. Ovellall: 10/10 OVERALL SET Price: wow! same as gukko, loads mor pieces! now i know why i got this instead of that foul bird... Worth it? yeah, a great set is worth while set. MAKUTA Building: Wow. It looked complicated, it was... wait for it... EASY!!! A bit harder than the 2003 matoran though Play value: Cool. I confiscated his staff, now he can do more damage with hsi claws!!! Price: Cheaper than ussanui, a real bargain. Overall: Worth it. best big set ever. Posable too! That all for now. -------------------- |

All right, even though they have been done, I will put in my input on Takanuva and Jaller/Gukko:
Though quite a radical change, I have changed my mind from my original dislike of Takanuva. I was feeling a little buyer’s remorse and nostalgia for the old Toa. That made me think of all the bad things about Takanuva. I’m sure, if I wanted to, I could find just as many bad things about the original Toa. The Avohkii, when I think about it, was only disappointing at first. I love it now, but I’ll still say why I didn’t like it: for such a long time, I had been hearing about a Mask of Light. I had seen pictures of a fearsome-looking mask with a huge, gaping mouth and small eyes. I had expected this thing to be big. However, it was just a little bigger than a Hau “Olda.” But now, that has changed, and I like the Kanohi Avohkii, Mask of Light, once again. When you think about it, the color scheme does work well. While you are aware that he has a white body, your attention is drawn to the torso and head, where it should be for this character. What I expected was for him to be as tall as Tahu. And he is. BUT, due to an optical illusion, he looks a little shorter. That is: while they are the same height, the Kanohi Avohkii stretches down further, creating a slightly short appearance, and it is thin. But that is all good. Now, I’m still a little iffy on him taking the place of the Toa(quote from the Rahkshi CD-ROMs: Takanuva is the legendary 7th Toa, the Toa of Light, who is destined to free the Matoran from the dark power of Makuta.), but if that’s what the legends say, well then, that’s what they say. Besides, were I Tahu, I would be glad to sacrifice my leadership to a more capable Toa. I recently was the director of a school video production of “To Kill A Mockingbird.” It is so hard to deal with all the people, yet I was the only one capable, which is why I stuck to it. Now that Tahu sees that Takanuva is more capable of directing the Toa than himself, I’ll bet even Tahu would give up his leadership. And that's my two widgets. Rating 9/10(I didn't review the Ussanui, I will do that later, this is more of a personal opinion.) Jaller/Gukko: Excellent! I loved building with it, and I love playing with it! Jaller is great, I love the new Matoran form! The Gukko, while not as complex as the Ussanui, is still one cool ride! -------------------- |

well my makuta arrived in the mail so i thought about doing a review on him
Makuta- the box: pretty big the picture of him on the front looks cool8/10 building:not to simple but not to hard just they way i like it 9/10 poseability: i love the arm action he has and the interesting leg design and the moving head 8.5/10 playability: hes awesome hes perfect for the ultimate badguy he looks as if he could crush the toa in a second.10/10 masks: the kraahkan is awesome in both modes i love it but dont forget his silver ahvokii they are great too9/10 overall this is my favorite 2003 set because of how evil he looks he is the best bad guy i have ever seen his overall score is44.5/50 oh and off topic lewamaster just because you dont like the power doesnt mean the set stinks that has nothing to do with the actual set -------------------- [img]http://www.maj.com/gallery/bordakh/woot/civilwar-capno.png[/img] |

Ok my reviews....
Turaga- There pretty easy to build. The action is pretty simple. Playing with them isn't too fun. Turaga-Nui is kindof hard to build. 5/10 Toa- Building- Pretty easy to build. If you build them enough it gets fun. Playing with them is very fun. You could play with them for hours. Toa kaita is pretty easy to build. It is hard to move so isn't to fun to play with. 8/10 Rahi- All of them are fun to build and fun to play with. The manas is an exeptin. Not too fun to play with. Over priced. Now they sell them for 40-50 dollars now though. 9/10 Bohrok- These are pretty cool. The necks extend which make them look like wingless birds. Very fun to play with. Kaita is very good as well. 9/10 Bohrok VA- These are pretty boring. Same action as turaga. The krana fall out to easily. The kaita are pretty cool though. 6/10 Boxor- A great toy. The extra Nuparu is cool too. The punch action is great as well. The second form is robot like. A matoran exo-toa. 9/10 Exo-toa- Is fun to build. Mobility isn't too good. The gun is too sensative. 7/10 Bohrok-Kal- Just a copy of the bohrok. Play is normal. Kaita is same as bohrok kaita. 4/10 All new Matoran reviews coming soon! |

Here is the Rahkshi review: Ok the can is cool in a way that I say very cool. The toy itself is very easy or hard for starters. Now the Kratta are what I say cool and wierd. When I put the Rahkshi in the can it was like cool.
Overall: A+ -------------------- |

My Review: Vorahk
Yes I know this has been done before but I have this Rahkshi so here goes. I don't know if this is news or not, I don't care, but the Rahkshi are invading North America, more specificly the USA. I picked up Vorahk at a TRU (Toys "R" Us) store and they had all six including Pewku and Gukko bird. Anyway, I pick Vorahk out, I see loads of Panrahk, Kurahk, some Lerahk, a couple of broken into Turahk and Guurahk, and of course loads of Vorahk. This review will be in two sections, Review and Score. Each of those will be split into Ouside Look, Construction, and Play. So here goes... again...for real this time. Part One: Review: Part One: Outside Look: If you've ever heard "Don't judge a book by its cover." DISMISS IT! For the Rahkshi are the most unique, cool, and outragously superior toy, I have EVER seen. Sure have your J. I. Joe. I'll twiddle with my Rahkshi. The outside look determines what I think before I even OPEN the box! To be brief I'll quote Ron: "Cool" It is! The box is unique in itself from any other I've seen in a Bionicle product. It is triangular with rounded edges and is about six inches high, normal size for a bionicle box, BUT! It has an interesting twist. It's upside down! Also, the lid pops off rather than screwing off. A downside for me since the screw0ons were easier for me to open. Part Two: Construction: The Rahkshi have a simple construction like all Bionicle "multi-models" (models that are different only in color, weapons, and sometimes eye color) The Rahkshi have only one SLIGHTLY complex build process (by complex I mean you have to look at the instructions.) and that is the mid-section. The same as the Toa (arm-movment gears) and the Bohrok (Head snapping part). Now comes the fun part... Part Three: Play Play with the Rahkshi! That is what I advise you, they are VERY COOL! They look wonderful and have seven points of artculation (neck, shoulder, wrist, waist, hip, knee, ankle.) and can be put in almost any pose you like (even a pirouette is possible with the Rahkshi.) I had only one problem. The folded-up or "packed" Rahkshi, tends to stick out of the tube if not PERFECTLY alligned. That should have been changed. Aside from that, it was wonderful! Part Two: Score: Part One: Outside Looks: The box was as spectaular as one could be with a toy's box and was designed very nicely. Box: 60 points Part Two: Construction: Easy, simple, nuff said. Building: 90 points Part Three: Play Wonderful playtime will keep most anyone amused for a LONG time Play: 90 points -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Total Score: 90 Points 9/10 Result: Unleash the Rahkshi...Build the Rahkshi...Play With the Rahkshi...Adore the Rahkshi! -------------------- -The Editorialist--{Psycho Dogs and Carbonated Beverages}-

My review is going to be on the Rahkshi:
The can: The can is very unique and interesting. It is all good except for the fact that the lid pops right off and you can lose pieces quickly! The build: The build is very fun even though it is short. They don't suffer from the curse of the Bohrok at all, which is very good. The play: Are you kidding me? They are so fun to play with it's funny! Overall: You must buy them, or They will buy you!!!MuahahahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! And Shadow Kal, it doesn't matter if it's been reviewed before. -------------------- Proud Silver State BZPer! Kurahk is the best Rahkshi of all! Thank you Ninjo for Proto Restoration!

Anyone can?I'll do Rahkshi
Rahkshi-A+A+A And thats a good rating.Unlike the toa, their heads can move, their Rakanohi look awsome, their legs can bend, their staffs look cool, and they are poseable. This post has been edited by Panrahk The Destroyer: Jul 25 2003, 08:18 PM -------------------- My inbox is empty.Get used to it.Right now I'm the happiest person on BZPower.Get used to that, too.First BZPer to prove that BIONICLE is sold in India!Well,at least to myself. In India the BIONICLE saga started in April 2003.Wow,are they lucky.I miss the "good old days". |

Rakanohi never heard that one before but anyway im reviewing the bohrok kal most people dont like them but oh well box:normal the same as all other bohrok but still its cool to make them into the ball and hang them upside down8/10 construction: normal kinda boring i didnt need instructions.6/10 playability: same as original bohrok. but they look alot nicer with the silver and the new headplates. and since they have new powers i like it 9/10 poseability: well the same as pretty much every bionicle set except for the rahkshi(they are the supreme rulers of poseability) 7/10 total:30/40 bottom line are these sets worth buying...well if you didnt like the original bohrok i doubt it but if you did like the original then go and buy them! for the nice silver pieces the cool headplate and powers this is a great buy. -------------------- [img]http://www.maj.com/gallery/bordakh/woot/civilwar-capno.png[/img] |

Well, Jaller and Gukko is probably an "A". It has some AWESOME pieces, it doesn't break easily, and it has a new Matorian. Takua and Pewku is probably an "C". It's legs break easily, it doesn't have so many cool pieces, and it doesn't seem to be very important. But is still is a cool set.

Review for Jaller and Gukko.
If anyone has already done it, VERY SORRY!!!!!!! Jaller: Body--It's ok. The torso spins for Kolhii, but is a pain if you want him to stand still. It needs four extra pieces to be made to not spin. 6/10 Head & Mask-- They haven't changed, so that is pretty good. 9/10 Kolhii Stick-- Looks cool, but it doesn't fit on the body too well. The shape and size of the Kolhii ball is totally different than the Kolhii ball on the Bionicle site. 7/10 Feet--They move too much, making it hard to play Kolhii. They can move more than the original though. It is better and worse than the original. 7/10 All Together--6+9+7+7=29-->29/40 Gukko: Head--It can move in most directions but isn't too important. 8/10 Body--It can hold two new Matorian and has wings that flap. It has no landing gear, but can be set down on a flat surface ok. 9/10 Wings--It can fold up it's wings and flap them by a small lever on the bottom. 8/10 All Together--8+9+8=25-->25/30 Jaller and Gukko: Building Difficulty--It isn't too hard to build, as long as you follow the instructions. It is pretty fun to play with and build. All Together-->54/70 -------------------- Feel free to PM me, but I won't be posting as much anymore. See ya, BZP.

Review for Takutanuva with Movie Edition Kraahkan
The Box The box for this particular set is very clever. Its a bit bigger than a Bahrag Box and has a picture of Takutanuva in the middle in one of those CGI poses. He is bathed in light. to his left is the picture of Makuta from his box, shadowed out, and Takanuva on his right(with his ussanui)also shadowed out. Above each of them is their name, written in such a font that when the words 'Takanuva' and 'Makuta' Cross over it looks like it says Takutanuva.to the top left is the word 'Bionicle' and to the far right is a strip of yellow with a picture of the MEK in it. Below that it says Special edition mask in 4 or 5 languages. Below that it has a picture of Makuta, Takanuva and Takutanuva with an arrow passing smoothly from Makuta through Takanuva to Takutanuva. The back shows un-shadowed pictures of all three sets and one of the sides shows all the big 2003 sets- Jaller and Gukko, Takua and Pewku, Makuta and Takanuva. Inside the Box Inside there are five bags labelled 1, 1, 2, 2 and 3, with two booklets: one for Takanuva and one for Makuta. You get all the pieces for both models, plus the MEK. The MEK The MEK is pretty amazing. It looks alot like the original, but the eye holes are smaller and more evil looking, and it has eyebrows like the Huna for Vakama in the movie. Because of the brows and this wierd nose thing it also has it doesn't have those Vent things above the eyes the old one had(in toa mode they were above the eyes). Also, if you put the original Kraahkan next to another black mask the other mask is shinier. This mask is back up to full shininess. The Build If you want to build Takutanuva, and not Takanuva or Makuta(i'd have thought you would seeing you bought the Takutanuva set), you need to use only Takanuva's booklet. The build of Takanuva doesn't take much longer than Makuta or Takanuva, and if you've built Makuta before it may seem a bit old, but alot of it's new, you use more pieces and Takutanuva just lokks better(especially with his MEK) The Play value/Poseability The model itself(Takutanuva),isn't too poseable. He has the same Torso action as the Rahkshi, Makuta and the Matoran, but he's a bit top heavy for it like Makuta. Just about the only poses he will do involve leg movement rather than arm movement because the Kraata pans flip open if his arms move to far in an awkward direction. Also the torso doesn't 'like' to pose. On the uphand he's definetly more menacing than Makuta, and since we don't know for sure if he's a force for good or bad(Being made up of both), you can make up your own stories for him, either battling the Toa or helping them out, this toy has a lot of play value. Overall Overal I liked this model alot although i already had both Takanuva and Makuta. The MEK and the Build and look of the finished model was more than enough to make up for it. Note:The only new thing in this set is the MEK and whilst i recomend it to everyone, I especially recomend it to those who don't have Takanuva or Makuta. The Final Marks The Review done, I give this set an 8/10 This post has been edited by Kanohi Kraahkan: Jul 28 2003, 08:23 AM -------------------- INSERT SIGNATURE HERE!
