This epic is about what happens when a Bionicle fan "just can't get enough".

Chapter 1: Introduction

Once upon a time, in New York City, there was a Bionicle fan named Lester Cita. Oops, did I say fan? I meant fanatic. Lester was a total Bionicle freak. He had ownership rights to the life-size Toa Nuva statues at Legoland. He even bought two of every set so he could play with one and preserve the "collector's value" of the other. He programmed the BioniChecklist, a database catalouging every piece of Bionicle merchandise ever made, complete with a personal checklist for his collection.

And now, to our story.

The day Lester had waited for was here. Rahkshi were in stores!
That afternoon, as soon as the school bell rang, Lester raced to the bike rack and was off!
When he arrived at his local Toys "R" Us, Lester was ecstatic! He couldn't decide which two to purchase first. He wished he had saved more money for them. He only had enough for four sets. He finally decided on Panrahk and Guurahk. He rang up two of each and was on his way home.
Unfortunately, it had started to rain. However, Lester barely noticed. He was too intent on his thoughts of Rahkshi.
When he reached home, Lester immediately ran to his room and popped the tops off the Rahkshi cans. He finally assembled the sets and rejoiced by posing them in as many ways as he could think of, including a Matrix-esque high kick pose.
"Now, to enter this into the BioniChecklist," he said to himself.

Meanwhile, on Mata Nui:

Pohatu was having a good day. He had just restored Onewa's favorite stone arch, and was currently helping Hafu repair the Path of Prophecy statues.
Suddenly, Mokali ran up to him.
"What's the matter, Mokali? You shouldn't be running on your bad leg," said Pohatu.
"There's something you should see at the Kini-Nui, Toa. And besides, my leg got better when we Matoran changed," Mokali replied.
"Kini-Nui? You definitely shouldn't be running that far, even without a bad leg."
"I didn't, Toa. Takua the Chronicler told me."
"Okay, then. Ready to go?"
"Ready when you are, Pohatu."
"Good. Let's go."
With that, Pohatu activated his Kakama Nuva and they sped off to Kini-Nui.

You like? It's my first fanfic. Review topic here.

Chapter 2: The Portal

Pohatu and Mokali arrived at Kini-Nui in record time, only to find that all the other Toa Nuva and their messengers had gotten there first.
Lewa was the first to speak. “What took you so long, Pohatu?” he asked, ”You’d think, with your Kakama Nuva, you’d have beaten us all here.”
“Hey, Po-Koro is the farthest village from here,” Pohatu reminded him, ”It just took Mokali here a little while to get there and find me, that’s all.”
“Yeah,” Mokali added, “If I had had a Kakama Nuva to use getting there, we’d totally have beaten all of you.”
“Is that a challenge?” asked Tamaru, stepping out from behind Lewa, “If so, I’ll race you to Le-Koro. You know the way, right?”
“Sure do. You’re on!” replied Mokali, and they raced off into the Le-Koronan jungle.
“Well,” Onua stepped in, ”now that that’s out of our systems, let’s get down to business. Takua, you were about to tell us why we’re all here.”
“Of course,” Takua replied, ”Observe.”
He reached across to the other side of Kini-Nui, but as his hand reached across, it disappeared!
“Whoa!” exclaimed Nuparu, ”That defies all laws of science and logic! And I would know. I’m an engineer!”
“Not really, Nuparu,” Takua replied, “It is logical and scientific. It’s an interdimensional portal. Right now, my hand is sticking out in an entirely different universe.”
“Oh, an interdimensional portal,” Nuparu answered, “I knew that.”
“So basically, you called us all here to check out this other universe and see if we have anything to fear from its inhabitants,” Tahu concluded.
“Exactly,” Takua replied. “Are you ready?”
The Toa Nuva nodded in assent, and strode deliberately through the portal.

Well, I wonder where they'll come out. Just kidding! I already know, but you don't! Hahahahaha!

Chapter 3: On the Other Side

The Toa Nuva emerged on the other side of the portal in……….an alley in New York City!
“Where are we?” wondered Lewa.
“Do you really think any of us know, Lewa?” replied Kopaka coldly.
“It was worth a shot,” Lewa muttered to himself.
Ignoring Lewa, Tahu responded, “Well, let’s go find out, shall we? Onua, you and I will go this way. Lewa and Kopaka, you go that way. Gali, you and Pohatu go the other way. And we’d better not show off our powers or destroy anything while we’re here. We don’t want to frighten or anger the inhabitants of this dimension.”
“Hey, Tahu,” Pohatu inquired, “Can I use my Kakama Nuva? No one will be able to see us if I do.”
“I guess that would be okay,” replied Onua. “Besides, anyone would think it’s just the wind, especially since no one will feel you going through them.”
“All right then, let’s go,” Tahu interrupted.
With that, the six Toa Nuva ran off in different directions, Tahu and Onua toward Central Park, Gali and Pohatu toward a Toys “R” Us, and Lewa and Kopaka toward Lester’s house.

Meanwhile, at Lester’s…

Lester was feeling proud of himself. He had just yesterday added Panrahk and Guurahk to his BioniChecklist. Now, he had found his emergency stash of eighty dollars and was on his way to Zany Brainy. He hopped off his bike, raced into the store, and began his search for the remaining Rahkshi.
He had found them! He hurriedly grabbed two of each and ran back to the register. As soon as they had been rung up and paid for, he hopped back on his bike and raced home. He ran to his room, popped four of the tops, and finally assembled the rest of the Toa Nuva’s greatest foes.
“And now, to log this in the computer,” he said to himself.
He proceeded to access the BioniChecklist and check off the remainder of the Rahkshi. Then, he programmed the database to check for any merchandise he had not yet acquired. He sat back and relaxed. A minute later, the computer let out a soft ping! noise to show that it had finished.
“What!? This can’t be right! Sets- got 'em. Collectibles- got 'em. Comics- got 'em. Promotional Items- got 'em. Life-Size Legoland Models- bought those. What did I miss?” he exclaimed.

Chapter 4: Discovery

“Do you think the people here have found out about the portal yet?” Pohatu wondered.
“I hope not,” Gali answered, “Because if they have, they may have found a way to close it, and then we’re stuck here!”
“And if we’re stuck here,” she finished, “then eventually some evil being in our world will take over when we’re not there to help the Matoran!”
“Hey, wait,” Pohatu corrected her, “The Matoran aren’t totally helpless. Remember, they survived for years against Makuta before we even came.”
“You’re right, they can defend themselves,” she agreed, “But they’ve come to rely on our help. If say, Makuta came back, they probably wouldn’t be very prepared.”
“Be careful what you wish for, Gali,” Pohatu teased, “You just might get it!”
Suddenly, Gali skidded to a stop.
“Hey, Pohatu,” she called, “Look at this!”
There, in front of the two Toa Nuva, was the Toys “R” Us Bionicle display.
“Wow,” said Pohatu, “This story is the legend of Mata Nui. We’re action figures!”
“Yes,” Gali added, “We’re fictional characters in this dimension. But what are these things?” she said, pointing to the shelf with the Rahkshi.
“I don’t know, Gali,” Pohatu answered, “I….. don’t know.”
“Oh, no!” Gali exclaimed. “Pohatu, look!” She had a Rahkshi canister in her hand and was looking at the back.
“What is it?” asked Pohatu, “Oh, no. That can’t be right.”
“But it has to be, Pohatu,” Gali disagreed, “We’re fiction in this world, remember? People here are writing our story.”
“That doesn’t matter, Gali,” Pohatu replied, “We can do whatever we want. No stinking author can make us do anything.”
“That may be true,” she concurred, “but obviously they can bring things into being in our world. So far, they’ve made sure we can win. But against these monsters, we’ll need help. I only hope they’ll send us that help in time.”
“They will, Gali,” Pohatu reassured her, “Remember, our story is a legend here. Heroes get remembered, but legends never die. Even if they stop writing them, legends never die.”

At Lester’s house:

Lester refused to believe it, but it was unmistakably true. The BioniChecklist search results read COLLECTION COMPLETE.
“I’ve finally done it,” Lester said with extreme disbelief. “I have the most complete collection of Bionicle merchandise on the planet. But I’m not excited. I’m actually sad. It’s just not enough. I NEED MORE!”
Depressed, Lester trudged downstairs and sat down on the couch with his father.
“Is something wrong, son?” his father asked. “You seem upset.”
“Not really,” Lester replied, “I accomplished a goal, that’s all.”
“Well, I’m happy for you. But why are you so down in the dumps?”
“It’s just.. I liked doing what I was trying to do more than I like having it done.”
“Well, maybe you should set a new goal for yourself, son. It can be related to your first one if you want. You just need something to do.”
“Thanks, Dad. That’s a good idea.”
Then, Lester’s father switched on the TV. It was on a news channel.
“And now, we go live to our reporter, Daniel Stevenson, at the site of a very unusual phenomenon,” the reporter announced.
“Thanks, Tyler,” the other reporter replied. “Anyway, what we have here is a portal to another dimension, which few understand, but some are referring to as ‘Mata Nui’. ”
Lester jumped out of his seat and ran for the door.
“Where are you going, son?” asked his father.
“I just thought of my new goal,” Lester answered.
“Great!” his father replied. “Bye!”
Lester ran out into the street. He had seen where the reporter was and was headed straight there. Suddenly, he heard a whoosh! noise above his head. He looked up to see…
Lewa and Kopaka?, he thought. How can they be here? Wait. Of course! They and the other Toa Nuva must have come through the portal to check out our world. If I could capture them, the real thing, somehow, I’m sure that would satisfy my Bionicle cravings.

Uh oh... Lester's becoming manaical.. Will his crazed quest to capture the Toa Nuva succeed? Find out next time on Fandom!

Chapter 5: Operation Portal Patrol

Meanwhile, in Towson, Maryland, the BZP member, Onepu, had seen the same newscast as Lester. He immediately ran to his computer and began to log on to the Internet. When it didn't work, he remembered that his Internet and phone service was down. He borrowed his dad's cell phone and dialed one of only two BZP members he knew in real life: Purple Pohatu.
When Purple Pohatu answered the phone, Onepu told him all that he had seen. He immediately logged on and emailed the info to News@BZPower.com. He waited patiently, and about 10 minutes later, an article about it appeared on the BZP main page. He read the article, and was surprised to find that it contained a footnote saying that certain members had been sent PMs regarding the situation.
He quickly checked his inbox, and was even more surprised to find that he had a PM from Dimensioneer. It said:
"Purple Pohatu,

You have been selected as one of the few BZPower members who will be sent to New York City (via plane tickets paid for by the BZPower Staff) to ensure that the portal to Mata Nui is not misused in any way by inhabitants of either side. Your teammates will include GaliGee, Schizo Kaita, Onepu, and myself. This mission will henceforth be referred to as Operation Portal Patrol.

Yours truly, Dimensioneer

P.S. Please inform Onepu of this, as we have been informed (by you) that his Internet connection is down and therefore he will not be able to receive the PM he was sent on this topic."

Obviously, Purple Pohatu felt very honored to be working on an official BZP mission. He felt even more honored to be working with such well-known BZP members.
He ran downstairs and yelled to his parents, "Mom! Dad! I just won an all-expenses-paid trip to New York!"
His parents took some convincing, but the next day, he was off to New York, New york with his father's spare laptop and a suitcase of the essentials.

Took me long enough, didn't it? I normally get really mad at authors who take way too long to write a chapter, so I'm really sorry. Now
review, please!

Chapter 6: The Team Meets

At the Plaza Hotel in NYC, Purple Pohatu unpacked and logged on to BZP on his dad's laptop to check for updates on Operation Portal Patrol. When he didn't find any, he decided to try and find out where his teammates' rooms were. He walked down to the registration desk.
"Excuse me, ma'am, but someone named Onepu should have checked in here about 10 minutes ago. Do you know where his room is?" he asked the receptionist.
"It's room 225. Up those stairs and to the left," she replied without looking up, pointing to the stairs he had just come down.
Aw, jeez, Purple Pohatu thought. That's right next to my room! Now I have to go all the way up the way I came, and I can't use my mask because it'd be too conspicuous to just disappear. But he politely replied, "Thank you," and proceeded to go back the way he came.
When he reached Onepu's room, he knocked loudly on the door. Onepu quickly answered.
"Hi, Purple Pohatu! Good to see ya!" he exclaimed. "Can you believe who we're working with on this mission? GaliGee, Schizo Kaita, and the famous Dimensioneer! Did you bring anything special?" he asked, bending over to look through his friend's suitcase. "Hmm, laptop, clothes, your purple Pakari- is that like your good luck charm?- and ooh, what's this?" Onepu wondered, pulling out a small purple wand.
"That? Don't worry about it," Purple Pohatu replied. "It's a prototype Staff of Electromagnetism. Pohatu's been giving me a few pointers on elemental powers so I could try synthesizing my own. I haven't tested that yet, but if I got the circuitry and everything right, it might be useful. By the way, did you find out where our teammates' rooms are? I can't wait to meet them!"
"Nope, I didn't get to that yet," answered Onepu. "But if we're right next to each other, who's to say they're not right across the hall or something?"
"Good point," Purple Pohatu conceded. "I'll check across the hall. You check on this side."
"Sure. Let's go."
Onepu went to room 223 and knocked hard. When no answer came, he moved on.
Meanwhile, Purple Pohatu had walked over to room 228 and knocked. A female voice inside shouted, "Coming!" A few seconds later, a Gali Nuva figure emerged.
"Hi, I'm GaliGee," she said. "And you must be Purple Pohatu."
"Gee, how'd you guess?" Purple Pohatu asked sarcastically. "But really, it's great to meet you. I'm a big fan of your work. Do you know where Schizo and Big D are?"
"Nope, but Big D said we're all in this hall, so we should probably just look around,” she replied.
“That’s what we’re doing,” he answered. “Onepu’s checking that side, and I’m looking over here. Wanna help?”
“Sure. I’ll start at that end,” she said, pointing to room 230.
At the other end of the hall, Onepu had checked #221, getting no answer, and proceeded to knock on the door of #220.
No answer here either, he thought. Dimensioneer must have picked us a really deserted hall. Which makes sense, because a Matoran, two Toa Nuva, a Toa Nuva Kaita, and a normal person would attract a whole load of attention. Well, I better check #229. It’s the last one, anyway.
When he got there, he was surprised when a Wairuha figure stepped out. “Hi, I’m Schizo Kaita,” he said. “You must be Onepu. But we shouldn’t talk out here. Let’s go to Big D’s room.” He walked down to Room 223, knocked twice, paused, then knocked once more. The door opened.
“What!?” exclaimed Onepu. “That was the first room I checked, and no one was there! And no one‘s come into the hall since!”
“I’ve been here the whole time,” said Dimensioneer, leaning out into the hall. “I used a secret knock to ensure the secrecy of what I’ve got in here. Come on in.”
Schizo, closely followed by Onepu, Purple Pohatu, and GaliGee, proceeded to enter the BZPower Administrator’s hotel room.

Chapter 7: Now Back To ... All Those Other Things I Haven't Been Talking About In The Last Two Chapters

After Lester saw Lewa and Kopaka, he had immediately run home to prepare. Kopaka, who had seen this, was not amused. Once the two of them had risen above the clouds, he gave Lewa a good talking-to.
"You dummy! We're not supposed to use our powers here! You probably scared that kid half to death! Give me that, you big show-off!" he yelled, pulling the Miru Nuva off of Lewa's face.
Without someone wearing the Miru, its powers were deactivated, and the two Toa began their long fall towards the ground. Kopaka raised his sheild arm to slow his fall and held the Miru in his other hand, while Lewa put his katana to his sides and went into a steep dive.
Frell, Kopaka thought. Even with his air powers, he'll never stop himself in time at that speed! His only chance is if I can get.... this.... mask.... on! he thought, fuimbling with the Miru and finally getting it on.
Now that he could fly, Kopaka followed Lewa into the dive, knowing he could only save Lewa if he could catch up to him.
"Lewa, pull up!" he yelled. "I can't get close enough for the Miru to work!"
Lewa used his air powers to slow down, and Kopaka soon got him into range of the Miru Nuva's powers. They pulled up and flew away.
Back at Lester's house, Lester had combined the technology of his father's experimental shrink ray with six spare Toa Nuva canisters to create life-size canisters that could shrink themselves and their contents to the size of normal canisters from the sets. It was the perfect trap for a Toa Nuva. Now, all it needed was a test run...
At the Plaza Hotel, the Operation Portal Patrol team had just entered Big D's room. They were surprised to find three laptops sitting on a desk, two of which were each hooked up to two additional hard drives and an antenna each.
"Wow! That's a lot of equipment!" Onepu exclaimed. "But what's it all for?"
"Well, Onepu," Dimensioneer began, getting up to close the door, "This ordinary one is the one I use to do all my administative duties on BZP. This one here with the modifications is the one I use to track certain BZP members for missions such as these. And this last one which is also modified is for special occasions. I'm currently programming it to track interdimensional anomalies."
"Like the portal!" Onepu blurted out.
"And anything that might come through it from Mata Nui," GaliGee added.
"Exactly," Dimensioneer replied. "Now, you may all return to your rooms, and I will call you back here for a team meeting when the program is complete. Goodbye now."
The team complied, returning to their rooms.

How will Lester test his Toa Nuva traps? When will Dimensioneer finish his program? How will Operation Portal Patrol proceed afterwards? And why am I asking you questions if only I, the author, know the answer? Find out next time on Fandom!

Chapter 8: Up and Running

About an hour and a half later, Dimensioneer invited the team members back into his hotel room.
"At this time," he began, "the first official meeting of the Operation Portal Patrol team will come to order. First of all, I'd like you to notice that the Interdimensional Anomaly Tracker Program is up and running, and we can now proceed with the mission. Second, I will now show you the results of this program."
He whipped out a remote control and pressed a button, and a screen and projector slid down out of the ceiling. Once they were in place, he pressed another button, and the display on his computer screen was projected onto the projection screen.
"This," he said, pointing to a large red dot in the center of the screen, "represents an anomaly present in two different dimensions, which we can safely assume is the portal to the Bionicle universe. These other dots," he added, pointing out six smaller green dots moving slowly away from the portal, "represent anomalies present in one dimension, but having originated in another, which, in this case, would have to be beings from Mata Nui. My theory is that they are the Toa Nuva, because they would probably have come through the portal in order to see if the inhabitants of this dimension posed any threat to Mata Nui, which we definitely don't want them to think. Now, GaliGee, Purple Pohatu, you two know the Toa Nuva personally, correct?"
GaliGee and Purple Pohatu nodded.
"Good. So you two will be the team that finds them and explains where they are to them. Meanwhile, Schizo Kaita, you and Onepu will go through the portal and find out if anyone from our side has gotten through the portal already. I will stay here and act as Mission Control while trying to find a way to close the portal so that no one from our world can get through to interfere with the storyline. Clear?"
The four team members nodded and prepared to assume their duties.

Yeah, I posted a new chapter without any warning or waiting for someone to review. Go figure. Well, actually, you should probably go review instead.

Chapter 9:The Mission Begins: Part 1

Using Purple Pohatu’s Kakama Nuva, GaliGee and Purple Pohatu left the hotel almost before the others saw the map of the Toa Nuva’s locations printing.
The closest pair was Gali and Pohatu at the Toys ‘R’ Us. They were there in about 10 seconds.
“Hi, guys!” exclaimed GaliGee.
“Hi, GaliGee!” exclaimed Gali, surprised. “Oh, I remember now! This is your world! Only what city is this? I don’t remember any this big! And who’s the kid?”
“Switch to your Akaku for a sec, OK?” Purple Pohatu (who was still using his holo-watch) requested. Gali shrugged her shoulders and obliged. Once she had, she recognized Purple Pohatu, and they proceeded with the conversation.
“It’s New York City, remember?” Purple Pohatu answered. “If I remember your interviews correctly, GaliGee, then this is where you first met them.”
“Yeah, you’re right,” agreed GaliGee.
“Hey, Pohatu, have any new foes showed up on Mata Nui yet?” asked Purple Pohatu. “They’re supposed to come really soon.”
“Nope, nothing new on Mata Nui,” Pohatu replied. “But Gali and I noticed these here, and somehow, we were surprised to find out we were action figures. But you guys showing up must have triggered our memory, so now we remember all about this world, you guys, Great Being Farshtey, et cetera. I wonder, what made us forget?”
“Hmm.. That’s strange,” said GaliGee. “Hey! I just thought of something. The portal you came through was a freak natural occurrence, not an intentionally created portal. Maybe, when a portal is natural, it sends whoever comes through where they think they’re going. You thought you were going to an unknown dimension, but the portal couldn’t change your destination, so it made it so you didn’t know anything about here by suppressing your memories.”
“Ooookaaaay…” said Purple Pohatu, mildly confused. “That made almost no sense, but somehow I understood it. You’re saying that when you step through a portal, you come out wherever you think you will, and they didn’t know anything about here because when they came through, they thought they were going someplace they didn’t know about. I get it now.”
“Wait!” he exclaimed, “Schizo and Onepu are about to go through that thing! What if they think something that’ll send them somewhere else? We might never see them again!”
“Your friends are going to Mata Nui?” Pohatu exclaimed. “Why didn’t you say so? Something really bad could happen to them! Let’s go!”

Will they get to the portal in time? What's going on with the other Toa Nuva? Find out next time, in Chapter 9: Part 2!
