Overall, I'm very pleased with the Matoran design (I'm calling the old Matoran Tohunga and the new ones Matoran). They are so much more poseable in their new form and much better for storylines as there are more parts to change the colour of!
 Although they did lose some charm (just like Puku did in her "aging") I think we'll all grow acustommed to the new design. After all, it is the original design. I can't wait to get my hands on these little beauties!- J  E

those totally rock they are poseable, they come with a cool weapon- and just from the pics i see i can attach a throwing arm to them. excellent review.

great review! I jsut got all my matoran in a few days ago..... they are cool, even witht he odd shoulders.. I like the old matoran better.. but these guies rock too!

i really like the new matoran, i think the old ones were cute, but it sucked the way they were only available in the US, but now i like the fact that they are available everywhere. they new design is far better that its predecessor, but i have just one question...

as nice as the new guys are, i still prefer the old matoran. I'll probably get one of theses, anyways. But why do hafu and taipu always get their masks mixed up? In mnolg1 hafu had a pakari and taipu had a ruru. it seems that that happens to alot of matoran, though, somewhere betwen the onld online game and everything else. But black pakaris aren't hard to come by, so no biggie. and $4 for one of these lil' guys? seems a bit steep. The leg/ankle peices, though, i have been waiting for something like those for so long. good sets, and good reveiw.

Very good review, like always. They look cooler than ever now! Hmm.. good thing I ordered Macku and Hewkii this morning.

Just to make the americans here a little bit mad...I'd like to say that you are paying more for your Matoran than the UK is.

They sound great! I ordered the Takutavuva kit and Huki (I like the old names better.) a while ago. lol, according to my time, they should come in about 15 minutes if the mail's on time. Anyway, I ordered Huki because my custom Matoran is just like him, only with black body/arms instead of tan, and he's an Onu-Koronan. All I have to do is get out some black paint for the torso pieces, and that's all. I already have Nuhvok Kal, so I have the arms. I guess I'll edit this post when the mail comes and I've built Huki.
Wait, poseable isn't a word? Mocers use not real words then. And I'm one of them... Ah, doesn't matter. I did invent the nonexistant word "Glatomanousinonotopio", so I guess using the word poseability is ok. -------------------- Kaivo, now with 50% more activeness! Maybe. Yeah.

I really like the new look. the old Matorans were small and all they did was throw disks.
They have two from Ko-koro, two from Ga-koro and two from Po-koro. Six more will come out. two from Le-koro ta-koro and Onu-koro. Cant wait for them to get to my store.!

I think that I will buy the ones that are the most important in the storyline. So far six are out, but I see more... How about Hahli, Macku, Hewki, and then the Jaller and Takua sets to get the main characters? All in all it's about 50 dollars... Forget Takua and Jaller. Ten dollars. I also wonder why the Turaga did not change. They're Matoran, too... but I suppose they Mata Nui already gave enough credit to them.
