Correction: My name is HauNuva, not Haunuva!

Welcome to my epic center, which I don't think has any reason to be closed. Yet. tongue.gif Anyway, since my list of 'epics I really love' got too big to fit in my sig, it's going to be here, along with all my other epics. I encourage people to reply here when I post SpellSong, but for now, the Exosphere: Backlash review topic is still the place to review Exosphere.

Avatar courtesy of CrypticIdentity. And the idea of the Epic Center was inspired (at least in my case) by KopakaX and CI.
And now, for the Special Thanks section. These BZPower members really deserve praise, more for the strength of their character and the warmth of their friendship than anything else. (Of course, there's plenty of 'else' to praise them for.)

CrypticIdentity, whose undending patience and humor have kept me going.
TahuFrozen, who gave me some wonderful characters to play with, and whose enthusiastic replies are always welcome.
KopakaX, whose writing gave me inspiration, and whose own steadfast resolve and character were a pillar I could always count on.
Toa of the Stars, whose epic mirrors mine in an eery way, and who provides a great source of ideas and support.
MakutaTypist, whose wacky PM titles always gave me a laugh, and whose epics and personality are similarly quirky;
Anifanatic#, whose replies always make me smile, and whose gentle humility is very uplifting;
DarkWairuha, whose infrequent but very intelligent replies always provide the impulse to write some more,
Kumata Nuva, whose creative power allows him to write THREE epics at once, and who has been a great friend, just like everyone else,
and anyone I've forgotten. Simply PM me if you think you should be on here, and I'll add you.

Awards
This section was added at the conclusion of the SSC #4, and contains not only any awards my undeserving, humble writing might receive, but awards given to every epic in my library. Anyway:

The Chronicles of Light, Book 1: Rebirth of the Toa placed first in Serious Story Contest #4! Congratulations ot KopakaX for getting the recognition he deserves for his masterful writing!

My humble Exosphere: Backlash placed second in that same contest, although how I will never know.

Here is something that's not quite an award, but still worth a lot to me: the famous moderator/writer Makuta Master PMed one morning. Out of a sense of discretion, I won't copy his PM word-for-word without his permission, but he complimented my writing. Coming from him, a major BZLiterary figure, these words mean a lot. Thanks, Makuta Master!

Anyway, the links follow:

The Exosphere Saga

Exosphere
The short story that started it all. Lewa and Gali, planning to ambush a convoy of Bohrok Va, instead run into a fallen star and an opponent a thousand times more lethal than the Bohrok. The nightmare has begun....(thanks to KopakaX for the link)

Invasion
The mysterious creatures they met during the start of the Bohrok invasion have haunted Lewa and Gali's dreams. But they don't understand the true power of the alien menace that is about to descend on Mata Nui. The Exosphere is coming, and they are here to stay...

Void
Po-Koro and Onu-Koro have been destroyed. 40% of the Matoran population is dead. The Bohrok have been forced into retreat. And the Exosphere has the Vahi. The only hope for the survival of Mata Nui, and the known universe, lies with the Toa and a renegade Exosphere warrior named Ssrin.

Backlash
Crossroads is no more. But the torch of its funeral pyre has issued a summons, and a fleet is gathering, perhaps the known universe's last hope against the designs of the Exosphere. Unfortunately, a fleet will be no help whatsoever against the evil power the Exosphere has unearthed... The stunning conclusion to the Exosphere saga.

The Exosphere Anthology
The Exosphere Saga may have closed, but the Exosphere Universe still has an infinity of tales to be told. Here, the most talented writers on BZPower, and humble little me, are putting together a collection of short stories from the past, present, and future of the Exosphere Universe. SPOILER ALERT: Finish the Exosphere Saga before reading this!

Review the Exosphere trilogy here.

Exosphere Art here:
Ssrin Sketch. A really wonderful series of drawings and comics by CrypticIdentity, on the subject (for now) of the Exosphere universe. I wish I could draw so well!

The SpellSong Saga

SpellSong: Abyss A half-elven bard from the land of Faerun is summoned to Mata Nui by the sinister Vox. Accompanied by a mysterious Ko-Koronan ranger, he seeks a way home...and the sinister purpose behind his summoning. Set during Makuta's reign over Mata Nui, before the arrival of the Toa.

Mandatory Reading List
CI's masterpiece of dimensional travel, suspense, plain stunning writing, and amazing characters:
Torn Identities
Something's gone wrong on Mata Nui. Not only has a human boy been transported from his home dimension to the island, but mysterious portals are opening up, unleashing a flood of evil which must be stopped...at all costs. The characters, portrayed with incredible vivacity by CI, are really great. Not to be missed.
Completed with amazing success. We've heard word of another project based on it...

Highly recommended: Kumata Nuva's incredible saga of adventure, masterfully portrayed villains, and convincing heroes:
The Chronicles of Vari-Hao
On an island far from Mata Nui, Toa-less and currently unmarred by evil, a new darkness is rising. The only hope for stopping it lies with an unlikely fellowship, one of the most realistic I've ever seen written. Prepare to be astonished as you explore a massive new island and all the mysteries and wonders held within!
Uncompleted. We've heard word of another project based on it...

Kamion's splendid Epic Center.
We recommend Makuta's Game. I'm pretty sure Kamion is no longer on-line. No comments for now.

KopakaX's TREMENDOUS saga of good and evil, light and dark, truly incredible characters, and even more incredible writing:
The Chronicles of Darkness
and the sequel, The Chronicles of Light. Both are THREE-BOOK TRILOGIES! Really worth your time.

The Xahctrann have been a major power on the island ever since Makuta's death. Now one of their greatest warriors, Asruthen, sets out on a quest to save Xa-Koro from destruction. That tiny beginning throws the reader into a wonderful medley of battles, dialogue, emotions, and history, as KopakaX vividly portrays the future of Mata Nui and the characters that drive it.

Successfully completed. Has two sequels, and another series 'based' on it. All of them are great.

Finally, the stunning
Entering the Void
Toa of the Star's stellar (no pun intended) debut epic, a tale of universal war and incredible history. Not to be missed for anything!

Nothing is menacing Mata Nui. Unfortunately, Nothing is far stronger than anyone would like to admit, and the Toa are tested to their very last as they contest with the sinister Voids and their even darker masters. A wonderful tale of the past and future of Mata Nui and of the very structure of the Bionicle cosmos! READ!

Has a sequel, and another one is in the works. Successfully completed.

Also, MakutaTypist's wonderful revisionist history tale:
The Rahkshi Saga
MakutaTypist disliked the Bohrok, so he took them out and rewrote the storyline with the Rahkshi appearing right after Makuta's first defeat. Vivid descriptions, tight plotting, and a refreshing mix of humor and action make this a masterpiece! Especially vivid are his depictions of the Rahkshi and their characteristics.

MakutaTypist's latest work, a masterpiece in sore need of attention - Blue Avengers.
A sci-fi/Mata Nui epic in the tradition of Exosphere or Entering the Void, Blue Avengers bristles with excellent environmental descriptions, fabulous details, suspenseful writing, tension, and well-developed character - seriously an epic you should not miss. Although the writing is excellent, MakutaTypist needs more reviews - so do him a favor and read his epic!

In progress.

Lexicons

SpellSong
Here is a lexicon of confusing terms in the SpellSong series. It will be placed in alphabetical order, later. Some terms are not defined because they shouldn't be revealed yet in the story. (Right now it only has one entry.)

Faerun - Laucian's home continent, in different universe from that of Mata Nui.

Enjoy!
Updates on my stories and other things - like when I'll be on vacation - will also be posted here. Please check back frequently. I will add quotes, maybe, to the story descriptions, and other good stuff may come up here soon!
