I never wanted anything to happen to my parents... but, a super hero needs an origin story.

Just kidding.

I like to travel, having explored the USA, South Africa, Botswana, Fiji, New Zealand and much of Australia - but being an Australian, it can get a bit expensive.

I think people are too cynical when it comes to paranormal events - I'm just saying, why couldn't a 2m tall ape-man be living in the woods right next to an urban metropolis? It could happen!

My interests include Nintendo games (from the NES in all its 8-bit glory right through to the Wii), Doctor Who, BIONICLE (clearly), Star Wars (including its LEGO form), intelligent Internet web-comics... and the field of medicine, I suppose (before you ask... yes, I do watch Scrubs and House)!

My musical interests are wide and varied, but mostly centre around mainstream rock. Favourite artists of mine include Eskimo Joe, Radiohead, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2, Metallica, Snow Patrol, Coldplay, the Foo Fighters, John Butler Trio, the Presets, Alex Lloyd, Arcade Fire, Audioslave, Bloc Party, FOB, Linkin Park, The Living End, Maroon 5, Muse, the Whitlams, Wolfmother and (*sigh*) Robbie Williams. I'm also partial to the Super Smash Bros. Brawl OST. If you haven't heard of any of these artists they're probably Australian - I implore you to try their music. We need all the support we can get!

As for the art of film - I really enjoy the Star Wars franchise, Marvel movies, (especially Iron Man), Transformers, pretty much anything made by Christopher Nolan (including his Batman movies), Pirates of the Caribbean, Love Actually, Indiana Jones films, Ocean's Eleven and James Bond movies (Connery is the only Bond - the others are pale imitations who just happen to make good films). Sorry, but the BIONICLE movies don't quite make my top 30...

On the small screen, I'll watch Scrubs, Doctor Who, House M.D., Torchwood, Grey's Anatomy, How I Met Your Mother, Black Books, Firefly, Hotel Babylon, The X-Files, Dexter, Heroes, Pushing Daisies, Spooks, or Skins.

I've got a pretty wide taste in literature too, but the books I'd read again include House of God, Matthew Reilly books (embarassing, I know), Dr. Karl Kruzelnicki's books and geeky science stuff in general.
