Ok, I need some help. beg1a.gif

I'm saving up to buy one of these, which should I choose?

-MTT

OR

-The big 2007 Castle (King's Castle Seige?)

It's a tough choice...

Well... It depends on a few things... If you have Starwars LEGO prior to that then what's your opinion on it? I'd get MTT since it has New droid arms and awesome blasters plus other things on top of that, but that's only because I enjoy LEGO starwars and had enjoyed it for a while now... Simpler version: If you like Castle theme, get castle. If you like Starwars theme, get MTT. I like MTT 'cause I like Starwars and didn't buy any old castle sets... Does that help? biggrin.gif

Problem is, yes, I've had Star Wars sets and they are awesome, but that castle is really cool...

Tonight I will have to ask my almighty Shrine(actually pile)of Bionicles for guidance... tongue.gif

What was the winning bid for the podracers?

m.gifo.gifi.gifa.gifs.gif

It was a Buy It Now for $50. biggrin.gif But like I said it has no minifigs, so I guess you win some, you lose some. tongue.gif

The only problem is I bought all the new Star Wars sets already except for the Y-Wing, so I guess I'll get that one, then wait for the rest...

I'm aiming for the MTT. 20 droids? That thing has got to be awesome. Plus, its a good way to bring in reinforcements when playing with my Lego sets. =D

I'd like two MTTs but alas, money and space run low (mainly space tongue.gif ). There seems to be a lot of Episode 1 stuff this year, and no Episode 2 so maybe we'll see a Repuplic Gunship yet. beg1a.gif * crosses fingers* beg1a.gif

Sam, your birthday's in october? same here. Sure is good timing for us.
As for me, I definetly have space for a few MTTs. I have, lets see, half a good size room (playroom, we still call it, but might as well call it the "lego lair", 'cause the space is almost mine, and my room. _icon_joy_.gif

It's....it's a work of art.....drooling.gif

That guy should be working for lego if that's what he's making. Let's just hope that an AT-AT re-release is on the way.

I have planned out my year; Ask for Imperial Star Destroyer for birthday (the one with 'figs) then using any money I may have, purchse the starfighter with booster ring and Kit Fisto and then buy the MTT.

Titanium Dragon
Last night I got the ILC, The Droids battle pack and the *last* Clone Battle pack. smile.gif

The ILC is cool, but it may be a bit too wide. Plus the rocket launchers take up too much room inside.

But it's really cool, I'd reccomend it. The bombs, dual rockets, and folding wings are a nice touch.

The battle packs are awesome, but a bit small. They come with good figs though.

I appreciate lego is giving us accesories in them but if you buy 10, you would have a whole fleet of speeder bikes and STAPs. tongue.gif It would be cool if they only sold the figs also.

It would be cool, but highly unlikely seeing as it's not a major vehicle.

Does the Vader minifig's mask fit onto his bare head or do you have to take the head off and put the mask piece on?

Most wanted re-releases:
1. AT-AT- maybe a UCS model but with space to put minifigs (just like that amazing moc up there).
2. Republic Gunship- I missed the first one....

Most wanted new sets:
1. One of the rebel fleet ships with Ackbar and some rebel troops.
2. Jedi knights pack I (contains 4 good jedi and a couple of mini models, like the clone and droid packs)
3. Jedi knights pack II (contains 4 dark jedi and mini models)
4. Maybe a rebel battle pack.....
5. Wookie batt-.....of course not.

tongue.gif I already had a drink... As for if LEGO mass distributed them, they'd prolly cost $300-$350... US$... *bashes head with stick* I must expand My Imperial ground forces... I currently have the new AT-ST, IMP Inspection, Mos Eisley Cantina, and... umm... See why it needs expanding? I'll get the ILC for sure...

Imp. sets I'd adore:

New, mini-fig scale AT-AT
TIE Mauler (not Crawler, Mauler)
AT-AA
IFT-T (TX-130T)
AT-PT(Mass quantity... dribble.gif )
AT-ST(with different walls that are slightly bent and made of thin pieces with the studs facing out sideways so TWO people can fit)
Stormie BPs

I would love it if they were made... drooling.gif
Especially the BP...

Stormie battle packs would be the best...like if they had two regulars, a snow trooper and....some other guy.

AT-AAs and AT-PTs look pretty cool, but there would probably be a heap of problems with balance for the PT.

I don't think that'd work as a battle pack... Battlepacks are supposed to show things you see in MASS QUANTITIES in the movies... It would get very repetitive if you kept buying several, since that's what you do with battlepacks, but the same generic jedi every single time would be a bad idea, methinks. I'd say have figures that are individuals in large sets...

And as for TOJN's comment on the balance issue for the AT-PT, just use technic half axle and half pin... (the ones in blue and beige...) I think that'd fix that problem, and just have a big gear to where it's legs connect to body. Posable but stable! biggrin.gif

But looking at the only picture I have of the AT-PT, it looks like the front would weigh it down a bit causing it to fall forwards. I doubt it would be made anyway, seeing as it has only been seen in the games.

Maybe for a stormie pack, thre could be two types- Pack I: contains two regulars, a sand trooper and an imperial pilot (black ones). Pack II: contains two regulars, a snow trooper and an imperial officer (or something like that).

Actually...

example pic 1

example pic 2

AT-PTs are VERY small and wouldn't cause much of a balance issue... And stormie BPs... Snowtroopers are just stormtroopers with warmer armor to better suit the cold conditions of planets like Hoth and Rhen Var... So you wouldn't see a snowtrooper and stormtrooper in the same battle.... So... Maybe generic stormie BP: 2 stormies, 1 stormie with pauldron, 1 Scout Trooper, A Imp Officer in their battle armor (Like in Battlefront), A 74-Z speeder bike, and a rotating turret/E-web And for Snowtrooper BP: 3 Snowtroopers, 1 Snowtrooper with the little squares on the armor plate (Like the one inside the AT-AT), One Imp Officer in Battle armor, 74-Z Speeder bike(white), And two E-web cannons... I guess that'd work... biggrin.gif

After you exit the cantina, grapple up to the platform. Build the pile

of white pieces and grapple up to the higher platform. Go through the

opening.

Go down the giant steps until you come to a grapple target. Grapple across the

street. Pull the lever and push the block off of the platform. Jump down and kill

all of the stormies. Push the block to the four studs in front of the closed door,

select Luke and fire at the block a few times. The door should explode!

I guess that'd work... biggrin.gif

Wha!? I thought...well assumed, really, that AT-PTs were huge....This changes everything.

As for the second part of your post.....erm.....I'll just agree.

As for me mentioning an AT-PT with a half axle half pin and gear, I found a nice example... Mini-fig scale aswell!

Example pic

I would love it to be mass-produced... drooling.gif dribble.gif And apparently, balance is no issue! biggrin.gif

Now thatsa nice model. Should be pretty cheap, too.

By the way, Zak6, I need your help for a secret project-type thing that i'm working on that is LSW un-related.

Only it's not a set, it's a MOC. So far.

One of us should tell greg to tell his bosses to tell their bosses to consider a stormie battle pack. I vote....dudester. Or maybe Zak6. Or some other guy.

Hmmm.... everbody seems pretty quote-happy today. tongue.gif And we need a Republic Gunship more than an AT-PT. Although an AT-PT would make an excellent set, they made the Clone Scout Walker in 2005 so we probably won't see that as a set. biggrin.gif
