Nope, the parts lists were taken down sometime ago. I found about this too late to check anything, but you might want to look around on places like Flickr and Brickshelf to see if anyone took a pic of the parts list. I'm willing to bet it's a Death Star playset, though.
About the Anakin minifig, I like everything except the face. That face looks strange. The hair looks good, though, and it's nice to have more hair that's plastic, and not rubber. Torso looks nice. I'm afraid the face will be used for all seven remaining CW sets, which is a shame if we finally get some minor Jedi, like Shaak Ti or Ki-Adi-Mundi.

TMD I sure did =P. Funny, though, Plo Koon is my favorite Jedi. I personally think Anakin's face shows too much detail. I don't mind some scars, or leg or arm printing, but this face shows every single wrinkle. The eyes are too complicated for a minifig to me. I'll be switching the head to the regular Ani head. Perhaps if I get more CW sets later, I'll feel better about. But as it stands now, it won't be on display long.

In response to my previous post, I am about 97% finished with The Complete Saga for DS. And, I found the last Minikit of Dagobah, so you can forget that. However, I still need help finding the Minikits of:

2) Gunship Cavalry (Episode II, Level 4)
To anyone who has found all the Minikits on any of these three levels, could you please post/PM their locations? I'll be able to figure out which one of the ten of each level I haven't found. And I know that it's not any of the Fruit Pickup Minikits for both of them, and I know it's not any of the Survival Minikits for Gunship Cavalry.

Well, I know I never did that review on the Hoth Base, but TMD, I can tell you this: It'll be worth the wait to Christmas.
Mini Review:
Starting with the box, it does a good job of attracting the potential buyer's attention. On the front it depicts a battle (showcasing all parts of the set) that'll make the passing little kid shout "Wow cool!" or the AFoL say "Hey, that looks like a good display piece, with some good parts to boot." The back shows some of the features, as well as other sets available from LSW this season.
With figures from both sides, it's a fun set to play around with on it's own, but it's also a great companion to sets like the Imperial Landing Craft for sieges. For added fun, once you get the hang of it, the rebel turret can be fired and works pretty well, and I think the Imperial cannon is supposed to be fired, but you'd have to flick the red piece directly with your finger, which doesn't work so well. If you simply like to display, the possibilities are simply endless (because of all the different parts.
LEGO has made a good number of Hoth SW sets, but I think this'll be the one that unites them. If you're a big MOCer, you've probably already got this covered, but if not, now you have something for your AT-AT or AT-ST to march on, and something for your Snowspeeders to defend. Speaking of snowspeeders, the one included is finally gray, depicting the proper color of Luke and Dack's. It's fun to have the crane pull off the engine (which you can actually do without pulling the engine directly), and there's also a little command center on the inside. K-3PO is a nice touch, but I would've prefered something along the lines of General Reiken (sp?); we still need rebel leaders. He could've been standing inside at the command center, monitoring the battle.
Overall, between the Snowspeeder, K-3PO, extra snowtroopers, firing turret, the REBEL TROOPERS (having been extremely scarce until now), and of course, the base itself, is a must have. Maybe if I combine this with many of my LSW sets creating the ultimate siege scene, I'll be able to take a picture and share here.

But I might wait for the Rebel Scout Speeder before I do so...
Hope this helped in some of your descisions, and let me know how I fare as a reviewer (and yes, I'm aware that pictures would be required for a full review).

Dec 8 2007, 08:43 PM
I don't own the set myself, but I've played around with it a little before at someone's house. I'll make a breakdown review because I want to voice my thoughts:
Minifigs: Good minifigs, K-3PO is nice, and this is the cheapest set with snowtroopers. The probe droid isn't dead-on accurate, but I still like it for some reason. It just looks cool. The blasters are nice, though the E-Web cannon is a bit of a letdown. It has two slots on the side for flick-fire missiles, which you shouldn't have a problem firing as long as your fingers are the size of a mouse's. It's asymmetrical because of the slots, and that bothers me. The other E-Web from the 4504 Falcon is a lot better.
Crane, screens, and weird thing you put the snowspeeder on: I really like the crane. It's nice, simplistic, and it doesn't look half-bad. The screens are pretty good, but a big letdown for me was that the screens are stickered. I think there was a similar screen that was printed; why couldn't they have used that? Also, I found it a little lame the way the attached it to the base. The weird thing you put the snowspeeder on is pretty lame and dull. I really don't see the point of it, except to maybe spin the speeder. Maybe that's why they put it in, because it really doesn't serve any other purposes in my mind. You can just put it on the ground; what did we before this? Anyway, I think that's a waste of pieces, and a waste of money that could've been used to print some of the stickers. As I've mentioned, the way they attached it to door is pretty dull.
Turret: I'm surprised they didn't make this turret with the earlier snowspeeder sets, because it's cool and better than the other turrets or whatever they are. One gripe is the way the lasers fire; it just drops out and wouldn't harm a snowtrooper unless he happened to be waiting patiently for the laser to fall on his head. It does fire better than those dum flick-fire, but it's not the greatest firing mechanism. Other than that, the turret is pretty solid.
Snowspeeder: 4500 Rebel Snowspeeder was the first SW purchase I made by my own decision, so I feel a special attachment to it. Overall, the only thing I really prefer on this rendition is the harpoon. The cockpit is easier to remove, but 4500 had a more accurate cockpit, with the back half staying down while the front moved upwards. Also, when doing barrel rolls, the cockpit tends to open. The cannons on 4500 was one of the things that led me to that set, and I'm disappointed they replaced those with two-piece cannons. The way the engines are designed, there's a gap between the cannons and engine, and the back of the engine and cannon don't really line up, which is bad for a perfectionist like me. Also, the back of the engine is connected only by one line of studs, so you can take it off with the crane. It makes it less sturdy, although it's not that bad. I would give more leeway if the gray parts were printed. If you hate stickers and refuse to put them on, your snowspeeder is going to look really bland. One thing that puzzled me is the screen inside the speeder. It's the exact same in the previous versions, yet it's now stickered. Why not use the piece that's already there instead of making a sticker? I prefer my 4500, but if you don't have a snowspeeder and want one at retail, you'll probably want this one.
Door: This door is beautiful. The use of dark bley is great, and the way they used those bevelled brick is awesome. They achieved the rounded shape of the blast door pretty well, and those rock pieces with the swirls on it are pretty cool. I'm wondering why they didn't use tiles to cover up the gaps in the door. Would it have been that hard? Besides that gripe, the door's pretty good.
Overall, if you don't mind stickers, and have the money but don't have 4500, I would recommend getting this, as it has great minifigs, and the turret and blast door are just so awesome.

I went to Wal-Mart today and the JSF with HD ring is all gone (luckily I already got one) but there was a few Naboo Starfighters with Vulture Droids. But what really suprised me was that they recently got Sith Infiltrators. And lots of 'em! It seemed there was at least 20 of them. The box is pretty eye-catching. After all, it has a giant Darth Vader head and has "Limited Edition" on it with big, silver letters and has an image of Darth Maul on a speeder with a caption under it that says "Includes hard-to-find Darth Maul figure"...

I'm not sure... Never checked the price, but I think it's around $30... And while it looks alot better than the old one, it's WAY out of scale. It's much too small.

Link to gallery with battle packs, Rogue Shadow, the new Castle Impulse set, a new Racer set with glow-in-the-dark lightsaber blade, some Exo-Force sets, and custom figures made from the Rogue Shadow figures.
My thoughts on the Rogue Shadow:
The two prongs aren't as blocky as I originally thought. They made the slope with plates quite nicely. The hidden compartments are nice, but if they aren't accurate to the game, I'll probably remove them. Nice to have some more rifles, though. I'm disappointed in the one-person cockpit. It might be accurate that way, but knowing LEGO cockpits, it probably isn't. The ship is also very cramped inside. Where are Vader and his apprentice going to sit? I have to wonder if the real ship is this small. Landing gear is nice, but it looks like there are holes in the bottom, which annoys me. Overall, it looks nice, but too small, although I don't know that for sure.

I have mixed feelings about this. The stormies finally have that missing step. Now they look greater than before. However, I'll have to buy six more helmets separately to make my six other stormies match. The stormtrooper minifig has gone minor changes over the years:
Original trooper with a smaller eyes, helmet's mouth is smaller, yellow head (first appearance in original TIE fighter)
Eyes and mouth are enlarged (first appearance in II, if I'm not mistaken)
Legs are printed (first and only appearance in II)
Yellow head is changed to flesh (first and only appearance in 6211 ISD)
Head is changed to black (first appearance in ILC)
Helmet's mouth is changed from black to grey with black stripes (first appearance in IBP)
About the shockie legs. . . I don't like it at all. True, white may be more accurate, with the only black on the hips being the segmented armor parts, but black gave a little contrast. Now, it looks too bland for me.

Actually, about that Stormtrooper Helmet issue, I've got an interesting case. In my Imperial Star Destroyer, which I received last month, as the box shows two Stormtroopers were included. Interestingly, one Stormtrooper had the old helmet with the black mouthpiece, while the other has the gray mouthpiece with black stripes. And, as we know, the ISD I'm talking about was released last year. Maybe that added to the fact that I got it this year caused LEGO to accidentally put one of both helmets in the set.
On a different note, I think I've finally gone crazy. Today, after paying for a few items that I was buying at Costco, I walked over to a place where they put boxes, so you could put your items in there and take them home without them sliding all over the car. After removing two boxes, I noticed an empty box of LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga for Wii. I asked the cashier if I was allowed to take it home, she asked why, and I replied, "Oh, I'm just the craziest LEGO maniac." I ended up bringing it home. Imagine! I had to order it off of S@H because I knew that it would give you some exclusive code for the game or whatnot...And thanks for answering my questions, Zaktan606! BTW, in LSWII for DS, you couldn't change sleeve/arm color. Nor could you change hand color or hip color.I need recommondations for those who have LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game and LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. What PC or Mac would be the best to play them on? I might be getting a new computer soon, so I'd like to get a PC or Mac version of those games... provided I can find them in stores, of course! I've seen them around, so...Either a PC or a Mac would work for me. Any suggestions?
I have them both for the PC, and let me tell you, I think they're just awesome. Plus if you get a new comp, get a Vista and then you get to play Halo 3, case ya' don't gotta 360.(I use a lot of abb.) Or, Vista's are just shiny, in case you don't care about Halo. LSW2 is pretty easy to find in my area, dunno where you live, and S@H still has them in stock.-Ork

I have 100% on LSW1 and LSW2, waiting for Xmas for LSWCS. Ask me any questions, and I'll help! And BTW, The Sith Infiltrator is $39.99 CDN and $29.99 US, which makes no sense. Isn't our dollar as much as yours?

No, actually, Canadian prices have always been above those of the US.
Something having to do with our governments, I believe...And yes, the Sith Infiltrator is indeed $29.99. Lego S@H confirms that.DudeNuvaDarnit goverments!

It may depend on when your ISD was packaged. The UCS ISD was changed from old grey to new bley mid-production. Jango Fett's Slave I and AT-TE were given a slight redesign mid-production (for those who bought it earlier, they were given a service pack). Yours is probably because of the upcoming IBP, they had some extra helmets, and they decided to put in a set with stormies which is still going strong.

Not to mention the fact that Vista is so full of bugs that it's all but unusable...
Anyway, here's a Birckshelf folder with an incredible in depth look at the Rogue Shadow.

Rogue Shadow is awesome. I want to get it along with most of the new sets coming out on '08. Every year seems to get more exciting.
Still looking to buy that AT-AT though. I'll have to wait till after christmas.
EDIT: Looks like I'm going to have to wait till March xD

You mean AT-AP ;P.
I will be getting at least one of each set, and maybe multiples of BPs.
