Yeah I bought Darth Maul, but it didn't work. Can you also use gungan staffs and shields? I don't think so.

Look at this [link to leaked pics taken out by me]. It looks like the sets are real.

Those pics are leaked from a dealer's catalogue. I think you should remove that link.

Actually, I discovered those several weeks ago, and we all have mixed opinions as to whether or not they're actual preliminary sets. I don't think it matters if the link stays. psychotwitch.gif

What do you mean? I'm pretty sure they're prelims. If it isn't prelim, why is there silhouettes for minifigs? I'm pretty sure they are leaked. When we do get non-leaked pics, they are usually not prelims. But yeah, no mods seem to be taking action, or they just don't know it's leaked. I'm going to ask Greg about this.

Well, what I meant was that some people thought they were real, like yourself, and others thought they've been faked. For example, take a look at the AT-TE. There's hardly any new design. The Magnaguard Starfighter has no Magnaguards. That sort of thing.

Actually, it does have Magna guards. The text under the silhouettes says: "Magna Droids", and the silhouettes don't always reflect the appearence of the final mini-figs. These sets are clearly the real thing and shouldn't be linked.

On the pictures:
They are most definitely leaked prelims. The only reason that mods haven't taken action is because LGD is not the most frequented of forums.

Well, I for one hope they're the real thing. I've always wanted a Magna Guard minifig. happy.gif

On LSW III, I got a couple more minigames. One of my favorites is where you get to use Grevious's wheel bike to collect studs. It's pretty fun. I can't wait till I unlock 'em all.

If/when TLC does make Magnaguards, I hope they don't cop out and make the head in a similar way to IG-88's head. It's fine for IG-88 because he has eyes all around his head, so a trans-orange stud is pretty good, but Magnaguards have only three eyes (and only two are on the head). I hope they will make an actual printed head, mounted on a Technic half-pin on an Exo-Force claw/hand on a battle droid body with the stud on the "back" of the body turned forward with a trans-red stud for the third "eye".

The Rebel Scout Speeder, definitely. The new minifigs are awesome, and the speeder is a much better vehicle than the dropship if you're only buying one pack. happy.gif Plus, the RSS includes two Alliance decals and four smaller Alliance stickers, and the ID has only three Imperial decals, which can't go on light-colored bricks.

Hey guys.

Looks like they will be very different from the original. The MINI Tie has blue now sad.gif. Oh well I don't collect MINIs anyway. Looks like some parts from the MINI snowspeeder will be useful to me(the cheese slope and binocs are useful to me), so I may pick it up, probably not though. These are partlists from the official LEGO replacement parts site, so these are legit. These are probably not the full partlists as usual.

Seeing as how they're instructions from the offical LEGO downloading site pdf thingy...I would say it's safe. Not sure about the figs, though they're sweet. The number of figs don't match up though. Looking at the caption under the clonie, it says Clone Trooper™, no x2 that means there's two. On the other hand, the ARC looks very cool. Looks a little darker than I remember it, but that's okay. Pauldron, visor, and kama! Yay! The weapons also look new...maybe they're just the old pistols? The green thing looks like a new mold. Wonder it is. The Togruta headpiece looks nice, though the top horns look too short.

MINI TIE
MINI Snowspeeder

The snowspeeder is a lot better than the old, and is a very good parts pack. Not so sure on the TIE, though.

EDIT: Fig list so far:
Anakin (don't need a link to his page, do you)
Asoka (from what I've heard)
Rotta (I think)

No, he has his new, creepy face. Look closely. I wonder what will happen to Asoka's face, though...
Most of my sets have some little tweaking or modding to make them better.

TIE fighter w/ LUL Vader
Y-Wing & TIE Advanced (the one with a slightly improved TIE Advanced)
Wookie Attack

Apparently, for 2009, the 10th anniversery of LEGO Star Wars, TLC are making a big set, price limit around $150 and they're asking for suggestions from various Star Wars LEGO Fan sites whose names aren't allowed to be mentioned... I'd like a Mini-Fig scale AT-AT with a decent Veers, 2 AT-AT pilots, A Snowtrooper officer, and lots of Snowies! Plus speeder bikes inside at the back, opening side hatches, and zip lines! ALthough that might be over $150... Another possibility I'd like would be Mos Eisley Cantina... That's good. Not a booth and a door way, but the Cantina. And lots of Aliens! Lots and lots of Aliens! Bith, Ithorian, Aqualish, Jawa, Rodian, Shivasten, etc.

Mmm, I saw that.

I'd kinda like a recreation of an iconic scene... Something -big-. I liked this one guy's idea of Amidala's Starship...

A Death Star playset would be cool, with Vader vs Obi Wan, the chasm that Luke and Leia swing across, a prison block...

But it ought to be a ship. I'd say an ISD, but that's been done. Really, what's more memorable?

A UCS X-Wing re-done... That'd be cool.

I'd really like to see more "playsets" for Star Wars. Sure, they don't have swooshibility, but they sell well! Hoth Base, Cloud City, Mos Eisley Cantina. Echo "door" sold very well, and it's hardly even a playset, and Cloud City sells for quite the bit of cash online... They could include lts of Iconic Characters. General Veers, Admiral Piett, Tarkin (for no reason), Vader, Ozzel, The Emporer, Even Thrawn! *drools uncontrollably over thought of Grand Admiral Thrawn figure* Plus they could have the navy trooper-people, Gunners, Mouse Droids, random Officers, etc.

Cloud City didn't sell for two reasons:
It was considered overpriced even with new pieces.
It was a playset that was built for playability, yet it wasn't marketed very well at children.

True, the after-market values are very high, but in its product run, it didn't sell very well. Also, a lot of collecters who didn't buy the set were expecting Boba to come out in another set with his printed legs (Jabba's Sail Barge). Since he didn't, that, along with other minifigs like Bespin Luke, Lando, etc. drove the prices up.

What we REALLY need is a model of the Invisible Hand like the most recent Star destroyer set. It would include 2-4 MagnaGuards, General Greivous, Anakin, Obi-Wan, Palpatine, lots of battle droids, Count Douku (or is it Dooku?), R2-D2, a Nemoidian captain, and maybe even Nute Gunray. The interior would be detailed, and would some features that are in the movie. The bridge and tower would be out of scale, but I wouldn't mind too much.

As cool as that may be, the Hand isn't that iconic...
