I just read on a website with forums that there's going to be a Death Star playset next year, and that it had been confirmed. Anyone know anything about it?

-S82-

I saw that too... But keep in mind that article was posted on April 1st, and chances are not quite all of the news in it is 100% true. Some is probably true, but some is bogus, chances are.

Remember, too, that the parts for a Death Star playset appeared briefly in the Replacement Parts service on the official LEGO website before they were removed. pirate.gif

Eh, forgot about that. So I take back what I said, maybe such a set does exist.

Snoopy82 the Overlord
They did?

-S82-
GRESHIO'S
Isn't that Death Star set coming out this year...?

~Air Spirit
E-92
Thanks Cap'n. Here's what I dug up:Venator Pics

P.S. I thought the new Death Star was going to be a playset like the ISD from '06. You know, it still looks realistic, but comes with exclusive minifigures. cool.gif
Snoopy82 the Overlord
I think it is, from what I've read.

-S82-
Outstanding Green
A Death star playset?
Sounds cool! smile.gif
Hope it comes with lots of minifigs!
And a green light-up mechanism
that makes a laser shoot! tongue.gif
Torhuki
It'll no doubt be outrageously overpriced. dry.gif

~Cap'n
Snoopy82 the Overlord
Yeah- although all LEGO sets these days are overpriced. And they have been for a while.

-S82-
GRESHIO'S
I bet it will be medium sized. Like that of the ISD. (2006)

AWESOME!
E-92
I don't know if this is real, but it is sweet. 10186

E-92
Snoopy82 the Overlord
Wow... that might be real. I heard there might be a GG coming out, and it looks official enough. It also looks very sweet, if it is real I might get it. smile.gif

-S82-
Outstanding Green
Oh..sweet!
I always wanted one of those big sets
(But back then they where made with technic parts),
and now it seems like I finally can get one!
I hope itīs not fake, somebody who knows if 10186
is the number on another set?
I hope this will grow,so we can get more
of those big sets!
Ta-metru_defender
No, the UCS Grivous is a real set, instructions have already been found in LEGO's cache.

Snoopy82 the Overlord

Grevious looks nice. Pretty solid, the shape's exact, and they even included the green gutsack. Probably won't have money for it, but it would be nice to have one.
Looks like his upper arms are detachable to create a two-armed appearance

Nice! UCS Grevious looks great! Love the detail - very good. Looks like a model too, since theres a base.

Nice.

~Air Spirit

Even if I don't have money for it, I will soon. tongue.gif I'll work extra hard to get him. The tubes going into the head are nice. So awesome...

Lol, I probably won't have enough money altogether, since I'm planning to get some Bionicle sets.

Maybe for Christmas...?

~Air Spirit

...which is eight months away. tongue.gif

When is it going to be released, anyway? Does anyone know?

Probably for the Summer. Maybe it's a late addition to the ones we already know of.

I haven't been keeping up with the sets for this summer (Sorry...), and I only really know about the RGS. Could someone post some pics of the summer sets for me? Thanks.

Snoopy82 the Overlord
Thanks, TMD. happy.gif The AT-TE and the RGS look GREAT. The Magna guards and the new Anakin look too cartoonish, though, for my taste. sleep.gif

Here's General Grevious built using the PDF instructions. It's not 100% accurate due to some pieces being not available, but it's pretty close (not mine).

Looks pretty good in real life! I must say, Lego did a good job on this years UCS.

~Air Spirit
Outstanding Green
Wait,is there more UCS sets this year!? ohmy.gif
And GG looks cool, but a bit to big for my taste.
Ta-metru_defender
Dude, Grievous looks amazing. If I have the money, I'll see about picking him up.

TMD
Snoopy82 the Overlord
Woah- did you build that just from the PDF? It looks sweet. How do you build the organs and lightsabers?

k.gif
-Mata-
He didn't build it, he just found it.

I think I might pick up a few sets...

Yeah, as the below poster said, I found it. And if you want to find how the organs and lightsabers are built, just look in the PDF instructions.

Hey guys, I found it: The Han Solo Affair

Looks like they didn't take it down after all. happy.gif

I wonder if they'll make more movies for Star Wars. There hasn't been a major one in a while.

HeHeHeHe!!!
I was hoping that it would cost less, but then everything is more expensive this year. unsure.gif I was going to post pictures of the new keychains, but this stupid dial-up is so slow. wacko.gif
Ta-metru_defender
Here, I can get the pics of the keychains.
Anakin's JSF
Landspeeder
Slave I

TMD
Snoopy82 the Overlord
Meh, they look like typical minis. Might buy one though, it would look great with my key chain. happy.gif

k.gif
Torhuki
I like Anakin's JSF. It'd look good on my bike key chain. biggrin.gif

~Cap'n

The GG set is now available for order on S@H. smile.gif $90 US, Ģ65 in the UK.

If they can print parts for a tiny keychain, why can't they print parts for the bigger sets?

And the deal for Grevious is actually pretty good, considering it has 1085 parts. With the standard 10Ē/brick for LSW sets, it would've been $108.50.

Because it people don't like printed bricks. It ruins their collection. And it's a keychain. You don't want to put stickers on that, do you?

Oh, and rounded to tenths, Grevious would be $110. That mean about $125 - $130 for us Canadians. Whoop-dee-doo.

Sorry, didn't think about the Canadian price sad.gif.

And who are "it people"?
GRESHIO'S
It's okay. smile.gif

It people? Oh, they are normal people - originally spelt just "people", but when you accidentlly write "it" and forget to get rid of it, it becomes it people. Meaning... I made a stupid mistake. XD

~Air Spirit
Master of Ice and Sonic
So how do printed bricks ruin the collection? If anything, stickers would ruin it because the stickers could peel off, and stickers are notoriously hard to get on perfectly right, and if it's tilted, it gives the finished model and unprofessional look (which is usually bad.
