Well that Sailbarge looks nice. I can replace the flesh figs with ones I already have in yellow. The mini-fig Star Destroyer, however, is a bad idea. Why? Well, while it does look very nice, the figures included heighten the sense of incorrect scale. The interior does not help either, as it makes the entire ship one big "open-up" playset for other adventures. This was a great concept for Micromachines, but not so for LEGO Bricks, methinks.

I really don't care about the interior since it's finally a LEGO Star Destoryer that I can afford
. [Edit: I just checked the price, never mind about affording it] Also, it looks like Tarkin will be in the set, what other old looking Star Wars minifigure would it be? It's hard to tell what's all inside but it looks like it will have the long table were Vader does his "choking act". All in all, I just can't wait for either of them

I can't believe how awesome the sailbarge set is looking. That is going to be -the- SW set of 2006.
However, I find the "minifig-scale" Star Destroyer a bit disappointing, as it's not actually to scale with the minifigures. Plus when you compare it to the USC set, it's really not that great a recreation.
Anyway, I have some of the 2006 sets- and let me say, the B-Wing is fantastic, the A-Wing oh, I said a leet word - contact a Moderator to take proto from me! its predecessor and the TIE Interceptor is the best TIE yet.

I mean the pilot's helmet is the same mold as the Episode III trooper, just with different paint decals. I might pick up the interceptor today if I can find one.
And yu'd have to take the wings off and stick them in a different position for landing mode. I guess Lego only saw rOTS once.

The minifigs are excellent, but the instructions to the turbotank were messed up!(out of order, pages missing) i had to download some from the 'net. Here's a list of the "official names"-
Scout walker:AT-RT(all terrain recon transport)
TurboTank:A6 Juggernaut Heavy Assault Vehicle/Wheeled
Vulture Starfighter:Variable Geometry Self-Propelled Battle Droid, Mark I
Jedi Starfigher: Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptor
WheelBike=Tsmeu-6 Personal WheelBike
Droid Tank=NR-N99 Persuader class tank
Wookie ornithopter:Raddaugh Gnasp fluttercraft
Spider Droid:DSD Dwarf Spider droid(aquatic variation)
Catamaran:Oevvaor jet catamaran
V-wing: Alpha-3 Nimbus class fighter
All others i didnt list are known by what LEGO calls them, like the Tri-Figher, my favorite.

Big news Y'all, spiffing set pics of the ISD and Sailbarge! First, the sail barge:

| QUOTE (George Lucas' Favorite Site) |
The Sail Barge has been on the top of the fans' wish list for a long time and was a gaping hole in the LEGO Star Wars collection," says LEGO Global Partnerships and Alliances Director Jay Bruns. "We worked hard to ensure that the Sail Barge had a great visual appeal as well as a great play experience. There are tons of great features and surprises within the set."
Besides a generous 781-piece count, the Sail Barge includes a skiff, sarlacc monster, an all-new Lando figure with helmet, flesh-toned Slave Leia, Han, and Luke, and an R2-D2 fitted with a serving tray. Added figures include Jabba, Boba Fett, and Gamorrean Guard. The Sail Barge will retail for $74.99. |
ISD:

| QUOTE (George Lucas' Favorite Site) |
While we had to take a hit on scale, we felt that kids and fans needed to have access to a LEGO version of the ISD," says Bruns, who admits that scaling down the behemoth starship was no easy task. "The ISD was particularly challenging due to the shape of the model -- creating smooth lines, and adding in the 'notches' along the sides were just a couple of the more difficult parts. We also wanted to be sure that this set had a great play experience so it has been designed with a very creative twist: the cockpit can be removed and the model opens up to reveal the interior features. This is similar to how we treated the Millennium Falcon but in a bigger scale."
Boasting a 1,366 piece-count, new figures included with the Imperial Star Destroyer are Grand Moff Tarkin, Imperial Officer, R2-D5, and a mouse droid. Additional figures include Darth Vader, two royal guards, and a pair of stormtroopers. Even the Emperor's hologram gets its own piece! |

The imperial star destroyer kinda seems like an odd piece to me. It is small and i could never get the idea of having tie fighters bid as the ship itself coming out of the hanger. I thing the collector one would be better because you can use your minis with it. To make reall star war scenes.
The figs it comes with are cool, and it features are neat but im just saying its probably just to attract little kids. The barge anyway looks awesome. Even though the ISD looks alittle odd to me, it still would look good on a shelf.
I probably wont buy the ISD , ill buy the barge first. What is next a Death Star that opens up.
