Those holes in the bohrok container lid
what are they for?
since there are 8 of them... i assumed that they have something to do with the krana
sooooooooooooooo.........
my theory:
i think that they represent the krana and they moniter how the krana and/or the bohrok; kind of like a clock the farther the bohrok is in maturity....
they more mature ones have little 'pods' where the dots are and the pods explode in corelation with maturity in its own type of cycle
i know im pretty sleepy and dont feel like reading this over so excuse me if it does not make sense

What do you need airholes for? The Bohrok are ROBOTS. The Krana don't have mouths. You don't need airholes. I think it is just something Lego had to put to release the pressure inside the canister. If you look at all the pictures Lego has made, the canisters look nothing like the actual product. The Bohrok are resting. Then something (Takua) disturbs one and all of them wake up. The holes have no signifigance.

okay i believe it has something to do with the pressure inside
but, speaking in a storyline basis i think that they had to have a purpose ; cause in the toa containers there are holes and they have a purpose.... they hold all of that toa kanohi so i would like to think they are timers

I doubt they have a purpose in the storyline.
Not everything does you know

The Toa Cans are the pods they wash up onto the shores inside of, the Bohrok Cans are their nests, what's the Toa Nuva cans for?

First of all, notice the Bohrok canisters look nothing like the real pods. The real pods, if you look closely, have no holes on them. The Bohrok are sleeping in liquids, meaning if there were holes poked on the pod coverings, the liquid would leak out.
The real purpose of those holes is unknown, but I'm thinking it's for pressure's sake. The Toa canisters had holes in them, too (the crossholes for holding Toa heads).

another thing is that when the canisters wash up on shore they hav a dome where the middle mask thing is supposed to be....
thats wierd maybe it fell off and was some sort of heat shield cause if you enter an atmoshere without some sort of protection, you end up looking like a piece of burn toast so i guess that rules out that the bohrok came here from space...
