The Bahrag said that they wanted to cleanse the island. Does this sound evil? It pretty much means healing it. I think that the Bahrag thought that what they were doing was right, and would make the island better. It just happened to get in the toa's way because the had diferent "agendas" you could say. Anyway, if they were trying to wreck, not control Mata-Nui, they had to have some sort of motivation other than conquest.
What do you all think?

Cleansing means restoring something to the way it was before. this is not a good thing if you are a matoran.

They thought they were doing a good thing, not an evil one.
It was in THEIR best intrests, and they didnt know/care that they were killing half the islands inhabitants.

if any of you guys remember that in road to eldorado the evil priest guy wanted to 'clense' the city meaning killing all or most of the people so...
clensing cannot be deemed as 'not all that bad'
it would leave the bahrag the only sentient beings on the island and if you think about it in darwins theory he said survival of the fittest and if you are threatened by an external force that means that it is your duty as a living thing to survive and continue your race and if anyone stands in you way they are fair game to be annihilated without you feeling evil...
the bahrag are just trying to take advantage of darwins law...
continuing your race forever and ever

they also called the toa "their brothers" and said "how dare u turn on u're brothers" as if they thought the toa and them were on the same side
i think there's more to the bahrag and the bohrok than we really know
