Many people find it strange that Takua has a blue mask because he is from Ta-koro. Now Nuparu has an orange mask and he is from Onu-koro. Now the fact that there are other Matoran whom have masks from an other villages gives me the the idea that such event is very common on Mata-Nui.

Comic 8? No, they haven't actually sent out Comic 8 yet, though you can get one "free" if you buy anything Bionicle at TRU.

Why do you ask?

I have the comic, got it free with Tahu Nuva, why do you ask?
I think that both Takua and Napura have the different collor masks so that they stick out more. They both have very vital contributions to the saga. (hey who knows if there was a sequal to MNOLG, maybe you would have played as Napura. instead we still wait for that other game..grr) But any way. The mask color could also come from the fact that the prototype boxer pilot, look to be from Ta- Koro, with the orange mask and red arms??

Well, since the masks of the Matoran are only replica's and not actual Kanohi, it could be that some of them were given different colours by the Turaga, because they felt they would play an important role in the battle(s) for Mata Nui.

Vile Tahu,Schizo Kaita both of you could be right the Turaga could have read these things in the prophecies or indeed LEGO did that on purpose.

One thing-If their only replicas and not kanohi, then why did Matoro's mask work like a real mask in the video with Kopaka.
Its not that big of a deal, though, that the matoran's masks are multicolored.
it isn't X-RAY. It has lenses in the mask to zoom in, we've gone over this 100059358375 times!

There is no color code on Mata Nui.

Well, Matoran usually have the same color arms, and the same color feet. I mean their limbs (feet not neccesaril sam as arms) are the same color of the othe limb of that type. Check the GBA!

Maybe Nuparu is Takua's long lost brother sort off.... Or maybe he is being turned into a Chronicler like Takua slowly.

I think Takua and Nuparu are just oddballs! I am pretty sure that Takua has an unusual color scheme so that he would be rejected and become a wanderer, then teach the other Matoran that your appearance matters much less than your deeds. (A little multicultural lesson from LEGO. ) Also, as Purple Dave pointed out, LEGO has historically used the blue/red/yellow color scheme, so he is kind of a LEGO mascot.

That's true FrEaKo but I believe Taipu isn't the only one in Onu-koro (tell me if I'm wrong) and also I find that less strange cause stone and earth are somewhat related.
