It's a story about what I think happens long before mata nui arrives. oh yeh. It kinda leads onto one of Dark Toa's story. The one where the matoran washes up on shore and gets the Vahi.
Long ago, there were 7 great heros. They were the turaga. They protected the villages on a great island. There were two main creatures of great intelegents. There were the krana, which were large creatures with many strengths, different kind having different powers such as flight and tactical skills. Then there was the matoran, who were not as big or as powerfull, but possesed items of power that granted them abilities. The turaga were the protectors of the matoran. Then one day, the krana and the matoran went to war. the matoran were winning by far. Then when the battle seemed as it was won, A huge meteor crashed into the island. There were two huge creatures. They were the bahrag. The took control of the krana and turned them into small compact creatures that controlled a larger machine. These machines were called bohrok. Then the battle continued with the turaga, weilding huge powers, were the only hope of the matoran. Then the new wepons built for the turaga where unleashed. they were huge suites of armor. The battle continued on with both forces at equil strength. The bohrok eventually captured 6 of the suites of armor that the turaga were wearing and they retreated. Then the bohrok caged the suites in 6 different chambers that only the krana could open. The turaga were thinking of ways to defeat the enemy. Then Vakama, had an idea. He said that they could try and capture the bohrok and the bahrag and put them into a deep sleep. Whenua was unsure of the idea, but they decied to try it. They had the Matoran build a huge underground chamber. The Turaga created capsules that would hold the bohrok. Then the next day, the bohrok came to attack again. The matoran gave all their power to the turaga. The turaga used their elemental powers to capture the borok. Then the turaga of time, who wore the vahi, put them into a sleep that surpassed the flow of time. they bohrok were then shut inside the capsules for hopefully the rest of etirnity. But they still had the bahrag to deal with. Then their was a massive battle. The Turaga faught against the bahrag. The bahrag where unable to beat teh force that the turaga produced. In a last attempt to defeat the turaga, they were able to praduce a huge energy blast that missed the turaga, but tore a whole open in time. as the turaga and the bahrag were being dragged in, the turaga gave their powers to 7 of the villagers. They were tahu, kopaka, lewa, pohatu, onua, gali, and another villager that they didn't know the name of. The turaga said that to develope the powers they were givin, they would half to rest in chamber possesing the powers of the protdermis for a long time. Then the turaga and the bahrag were sucked in, and the whole closed. The 7 turaga, had entered the tubes, and were pushed out into the ocean so they wouldn't be desturbed. Then time continued. 6 of the turaga where stranded in a time period far into the future. Now they were much weaker, and smaller. They possessed great knowledge and had made profecies of what was going to happen based on what they had seen. They became the leaders of villages that where still in existants. Then Mata Nui came. It turned the land into more of a paradise. The last turaga, the turaga of time, was nowhere to be found.
Tell me if you want to continue.

This is an amazing story. It fits in very well with the story-line and it gives a plausible explanation. If the following is as good as this, you should continue.
P.S.: edit your spelling, though

Thats a good story for the story forum but I think the Turuga know so much because...
They are nobles, and they are smart. They know what is going to happen in the future becuase the put a dime in that telscope on the cliff. And Nuju can just sit around in his hut reading about the future...

I think the turaga know so much because of the prophecies! Also i would focus more on the kanohi or something cause this'll get moved soon.

OK. I will continue now. ( I had to go to bed, then i had school, then i had a ton of homework. {Im in high school})
Soon after the turaga had dissappeared, the 7 Matoran. prepared to leave the island. They had no clue that their memories would be erased from what has happened so far. For many years, the 7 had floated in the ocean. They had dreamed dreams of what was happeneing. They also felt the darkness that was coming. Then eventually, 6 of the matoran landed on the shore of the present Mata Nui. The toa of time however, was attacked while still in the capsule. It still had the matoran body, and floated through the oceans untill it landed much later (read one of evil toa's storys) The toa had no clue of what they were, or where they were. They just felt the evil that had come over the land. The toa knew they couldn't use the full extent of their powers yet. So they each ventured twards the nearest village too them. They all learned about the great masks they needed to collect. The turaga had told them almost everything that they need to know. But they hadn't told them about the acient secret of the island: Their greatest foe still slept underground, and would awaken once their masters had arrived once again.
The only 2 questions this story leaves? where is the turaga of time, and where did I learn to spell?
