I don't know who's gonna awaken Hapori Dume. Look closely at Pickles's vision and you can see that green titan doing something. We don't know all his powers, so it could be possible that he has some connection with Pickles's wanting to to awaken Hapori Dume.

Great spritesheets!
QUOTE(Hero100 @ Jun 17 2008, 12:23 PM)

Here another part of my kit.
clickyVakamaTK made the tohu, Turaga Hakari, and bzv gaurd sprite sheets. I made the elite toa sprite sheet used for matrak and tohu and got the other matrak sprites. Give credit.
I DID make a Chimoru Omega Matrak mask...

Speaking of which, I've been going over Matrak's mask power in my mind. I know he wears a Miru, but the thing is, he loses it when going to Hapori-Kini(the place where he becomes a Toa). The Guardian replaces it.
The Dark709 Wiki says that Matrak's kanohi, for a split second, can cut off an enemy's access to their energy. Dark's never told me about that and it sounds a little overpowered... even if it is only a momentary cutoff. Then I thought maybe it's used to temporarily disable an enemy's powers as long as he's seen them. A "Mask of Disabling". Mask powers, Rahkshi powers, elemental powers, things like that. But that would have come in pretty handy during the second movie... and none of the toa used their mask powers.
After that there was one more thought. Back when I was dreaming up an epic about Bob, Kazu, and Matrak, I saw Matrak training by imagining himself surrounded by Rahkshi. It could be a "Mask of Waking Dreams", where he can cast himself into his own illusionary worlds where he can train or think. All experience gained during the dream is retained. Useless in battle, but good for training and breaking apart his Food Element into Plasma.

Actually, I have a theory that each generation of Toa is weaker, because they have 1 6th of the original Toas power

Further evidence is how Lhikan had fire abilities that Vakama did not, in the encyclopedia (Or another one of those books) it says Lhikan can do such and such
and everything Vakam can.
So modern Toa would be alot weaker, while Matrak, Bob and Kazu would be more powerful, or at least equal to the first of the Toa (not in terms of skill, but power)
Lets face it, a Toa Hapori can easily take out Dark Hunters and other Titans with a single attack, for a normal Toa that would require a tonne of their power and/or a long period of charging up their power.
But anyways, I can see what you mean by it being useful... but wouldn't you be suprised if they made a Mata-Nui set, and it turns out he has the noble mask of levitation or something?
Superkid11
Jun 18 2008, 04:19 PM
I know Matrak's mask looks like Tanma's(which is considered a Noble Miru by some) but it's not exactly like it. Besides, Matrak's mask is more like a fusion of a Miru and a Kakama with a Hau mouth... I doubt that'll be in an actual set.

I like your theory, but Lhikan was a Toa for a long time, while Vakama was pretty much a newbie the whole time he was a Toa. Lhikan developed more control and skill than Vakama ever had the chance to. If the Toa-Hapori design and power level was spread through Mata-Nui's world, Lhikan would have probably been a perfect candidate. Even though he wasn't considered "Elite" like the Hagah.

Sometimes I wish movies didn't use the prophecy thing. Because almost evytime the hero wins. You know what they need? A prophecy for the villians, like "Lord Hokal Bokal Tokal (a name I made up) will rule all of the world." to make it a diffucult challenge for the hero.

Superkid11
Jun 29 2008, 04:24 PM
I don't think he doubts it entirely, I just think he doubts its accuracy. The Guardian sees prophecies by seeing into Destiny, which in Bionicle is an actual force. Destiny doesn't always come true, nor does it always come true in the ways that it says it will. It's particularly shakey in the comic land. Hakari may simply think that prophecies are less accurate than weather forecasts and should not be relied on. Agni, the leader of the neo-ninja(the one in the Kakama Nuva up to the left of the toa), thinks the same way.
Even in the canon Bionicle, Destiny is ignorable and changable. The Bohrok being released early are one example.
And on top of this, The Guardian you saw in the movies only represented a little bit of his personality. Fact is, The Guardian was known for having a very eccentric and forgetful personality when not in a serious situation. He was wise and all, it's just that sometimes people wondered if he was a few pieces short of a set.
(yes, I came up with that, but I sent that to Dark long ago and he approved of that portrayal.)

So, the ultimate question-
WHY does Dark do it?
-GukkoPilot709-
Jun 29 2008, 10:16 PM
When I first joined BZPower, I noticed Dark's Comics then were Version 2.0. So I used the search function to find Version 1.0. Do you know what it was like back then? BACK THEN, the only people who actually posted in his comics were himself, his sister, and only a handful of fans. Yet, after that, he kept going. And, whaddya know, he's #1 Comic Maker. That's why I'm his fan. He just doesn't give up.
Now, he can just quit, but I'd like to think he wants to get his story out and wants the job done. He's got a heck of a work ethic.
Kittens:The Shadow Matoran
Jun 29 2008, 10:22 PM
You know what? BZP could use the 'good old days' but you know what? Back then comic makers simply copied the other best comic makers, all the popular comic makers got their start copying someone else, but eventually evolved into their own, nowadays people aren't so accpeting.
Our standards have gone up for an inexplicable reason.
Dark does what he does, but you don't know what he thinks any more than me, for all we know he's in some asylum for a crime he didn't commit, he has the ability to see ghosts which leads everyone to think him insane, he spends his nights, instead os sleeping, writing gibberish on a typewriter, and the ghosts email him the comics.
Can you disprove it?
Anyways, lets get back to talking about the actual movie, your leading us off topic with your 709defence Gukkoman

Superkid11
Jun 29 2008, 11:02 PM
The "four factions" thing kind of confused me, I asked Dark about it and his answer was that it was the four villains rather than four armies on Dume's side... which doesn't make much sense seeing as Pickles and Malice Borg weren't even in the original battle.
Granted, I don't know all the details of the original battle.

Wow, I haven't posted here for a while. So, Part 4 of 1 had smooth animation, but I don't like how we keep skipping from scene to scene so much. In one moment we're with pickles, then we're with hakari, then suddenly we're watching a bunch of aircrafts. I'd prefer we stick with one scene for a little longer, instead of rapidly showing many things happening. I don't like it, but it's just my opinion.

You could have added an expression to superkid when the explosion occurred.
Other than that, it seemed like a good episode, but for some reason I'm not getting the same feel of the previous movies. I don't know what's taking away from that...
QUOTE(Domek the DK @ Jun 29 2008, 06:49 AM)

Yeah, and I think the special effects really need to be more original and less "woobly". Those looks pretty cheap, because you can make those effects simply activating Gimp and click Lights and Shadows-button(while you can find tons of god effect tutorials by googleing).
That bolded line might come in handy, if you can find those tutorials.

My thery is obvious, I think Zero and Orez are Zo-Matoran.
First: They said they sereve an evil more powerful then Teridax, the Zo-Matoran sereve Hapori Dume and I think he's MUCH more powerful.
Second: They are green, the color of the Zo-Matoran.
If you have evidence to suport or denie my theret please post it.
And my quetion is, do all Elite Toa have to have food powers?

Hapori Dume is MUCH more powerful than Teridax, Hapori Tohu is another Mata-nui, and Dume is more powerful than him, considering Teridax can't beat Mata-nui in single combat...
Also I think that SKs Zo has evolved to the point where people actually think they are a brand of matoran. I really don't think they are...

Seriously, what is so funny about food?
People saying continueing a food is annoying and ridiculous. The food element could be very funny if you use it in right place and time, not making a character who is so obsessed with cookies that they say that all the time.
I seriously don't find a reason why "Cookie" or "Pie" should be funny.
As for Choconuva...
The most simple way is just writing "how to make *place an effect name* with Gimp".
