I think they can, but I'm not sure it's something I'd like to know.

No, I don't think Matoran can bleed, that's like saying you're Tv is cranky or sometihng...
Oct 15 2002, 02:08 PM
Nah, I don't think they can bleed. I mean, granted, we've never seen them really hurt badly, but they don't seem to be organic enough. When you cut trees, they don't bleed.
Off topic: Hey everybody- New member, but definitely not new to Bz.

That Remind's Me Of Something My Sister Said This Morning.
She Asked If The Toa Can Eat Food ?
Remember In The MNOLG You Eat Bula Berrie's.
Now This Is The Dumb Part But It Got Me Thinking.
Can They Go ?

legoned15 thats not something that should be disscused on bzp.
living: yes and no the matorans are organic which i think means they think like a human but their bodies are not totaly organic probably a little organic because they eat food but i really dont think they bleed.

The whole thing depends on their metabolism: let's look at the facts.
The main function of blood is transporting substances (mainly oxygen) we need to survive. That's the way it is for plants and animals, although we don't regard a plant's fluids as 'blood', but as 'juice'.
When it comes to bio-mechanic beings (which I think they are), we have a mix between organic and mechanic.
If they are for the most part organic, they would have an organic transport system, hence they would have blood.
This is what I think is the case.
On the other hand, if they are mainly mechanical, there would be a need for transporting fuel. If this fuel is a fluid, we could refer to it as 'blood', like in the plant's case, but it wouldn't be mamal blood. It might still be an organic fuel (bula berries?).
Just my two (lengthy) cents.

I think they don't bleed but are living creatures and still feel pain.

i just can't imagine a matoran bleeding
using the protodermis a life giving substance theorie they might bleed protodermis?
but i think that if they do get hurt badly enough they would shatter into lego pieces and fall into an endless sleep. like mata nui?
Oct 16 2002, 07:43 AM
first off, trees do bleed, it's called sap
second, i think the inhabitants could bleed, and it probably would be protodermis. but then, thinking that their substance would be similar to metal, i figure it is really hard to cut them. well, now all of the toa have very sharp and menacing tools to wield. maybe lego will get just a little more violent with the new enemies and maybe even show something more than just knocking off of kanohi. maybe even, dare i say it, maybe even death. buh buh bummmmm!
Oct 17 2002, 03:11 AM
Yeah I think Lego should at least do some violence like knock off kanohi and little tiny cuts that protodermis trickles out. But I wouldn't consider death you know. It might be too devasting to the kids out there....hey i'm a kid myself but I'd probaly handle death but for the others they'll probaly have tears in the eyes waaahhhh!!!
No offence anyway.

I agree. It's not really somthing a lot of people think about
Oct 17 2002, 05:59 PM
I've seen a topic like this before...
But, yeah, they probably have proto-innards.
The stuff of life.
Anyway it's Lego so don't get your hopes up for MoL.::: :::
Oct 17 2002, 06:05 PM
Probably, but you know how LEGO tries to avoid violence, so they wouldn't show any blood.
Oct 17 2002, 06:10 PM
Well, we do know they breath, based on the comics. So blood carries oxygen throughout the body, so they do need some kind of body fluid to survive. I don't think it's blood though..... In my epic, I have them bleed Protodermis because I don't see them bleeding blood. Oh yeah, and even if they do bleed, Lego will never let them! (You know their non-violent policy)
