Who says they were dipped? They could have started out there, and were awakened by the ToaN. To be dipped you have to start outside, be inside, the come back outside.

that would be cool, but personally i think makuta comes back, finds some rahi, gives em some more brains and send em to kll the nuva. on the way they find the deafeated kal who hate the nuva and they all goa nd attack the nuva.

well if you think about it there is alot of ways you can conect them with the kal my theorie is that when the kal collect the symbols they actualy get the power to evolve and then they retreat into thier pods and evolve into these super bohrok things since thier names sound familiar and thier design has a bit bohroky touch and since they are both gonna be in the comics its only right that they are related and the reason why i think this is cause the next sagas probly called the bohrok-kal saga or somthing like that they cant change the name of the saga so they jaust make the kal evolve to these beasts.

well they can be protod anythingwith elemantal powers can be protod and sometimes ends up bieng protod look at the toa for instance.

Good theory Unbreakable. Just because they have elemental powers dosnt mean they were dipped in protodermis.
