Remember the poll on which name for the tohunga\matoran you prefer? I think I saw a post in it about "Why don't we just call them Matanuiens?" I think that matoran is a shortened form of that. And we all know why the name was changed. 90th post!

If it was short for Matanuian, it would be Matanan or something, but yes, I think it has some connection to Mata Nui. However, I wish it was changed to sometihing more island-like, such as Tanorma.(Ta-nore-mah.) See if you can figure that one out.

You made the name for matoran? Cool. Hey what ere you going to name them besides matoran?

Matoran could stand for matanuian like you said. It fits them good.
TIME STAR
Matoran could stand for Matoran (no difference) it might not stand for anything! just a snappy name for Tohunga because Tohunga is a bit long and boring and they might want a better one! what does everyone else think? Matoran or Tohunga? i'll let you decide biggrin.gif
