i mean since its the time before time then time shouldnt exist so then there is a mask of time but then time doesnt exist so how can they slow down time if there is no time?

I know exactly what you mean, and if it is the time before time then it isn't time making time an incoherent figure in which does not exist in any form or manner yet the passage of time will tell, but there is no time making that virtually impossible, and yet the Vahi exists, but who knows if it really does yet, the Vahi has not been mentioned in any of the comics or episodes, so it might have been in the computer game that wasn't released, but it wasn't released, making it still unrevealed

I get you. It doesnt make sense at all, does it? Perhaps they could think of no better power for the Vahi, and this was the first thing they came up with.

in a time before time could mean that the people of mata nui don't have a concept of time yet But what about the sundile people will ask sooner or later. Remember that they didn't know what it was in mnolg.

It could well mean the time before Matoran measured time as dangerous said, but I'd like to clear something up. Bionicle is not set in the time before time, although that time is very important. I think the Vahi must have been made after that time, as if it was made before then it wouldn't be called the mask of time, and would have been virtually impossible.

The term "Time Before Time" is refering to the time before mankind, or the equivilent time. Remember "Pre-Historic" means "before history". so it means the time before human conciousness.

btw. I think I have used the word "time" too many times.

The exact line, I believe, was "in the time before time, Mata Nui was a paradise," etc. .. well, Mata Nui is obviously not a paradise now, therefore the BIONICLE saga has not been taking place in the time before time.

In addition, the poster is accurate who says that this refers to the time before the Matoran began keeping records on the wall of history.... it is a dimly remembered past.

When you said "Walls of History", this made me remember that in the MNOLG, in Ko-Koro the Sanctum has loads of text written on the walls. Maybe the secrets of Mata-Nui are hidden in these walls.
