I have the new Mata Nui island wallpaper on my screen and I noticed that it looks like it has a face.

mata-nui isnt the island mta-nui is a real person the island is just named after him.
and i agree it looks like a face.

I've always thought it kinda looked like a face.

if you look at it from the left side it has a nose and the valcanoe is the eyes and it looks kinda like a mouth.

If you look at Mata-Nui upside-down (wih Le-Koro on the top), the two lakes in Le-Wahi are the eyes and the volcano is the mouth. It almost looks like the statue of him.

cool this is all very interesting! i thought the island had to rihno horns, 1 at each end! take a look at the island with po-koro at the top and le-koro at the bottom and you will see it 2!

i got this picture off Bionicle.com in the wall paper section!

to see the head properly you might want to look at po-wahi upside down!

good idea but how do you explian the rihno horns? its probably just an unimportant feature but think about it

if you mean you cant understand me then sorry no one every does but i'll try and explain: the jungle of le-wahi streaches out to form a shape like a rihno's head, following? well this also happens to po-wahi on the other side of the island if you at the picture i posted earlier, ok? it looks like a rihno horn and a mouth! hope this helps!

I don't know. It is something strange. I think that the Lakes as eyes are best theory.

i supose but the island is totaly different from the spirit! we will never see the spirit mata nui's body but THE ISLAND IS NOT THE SPIRIT!

Well we figured out that the island is not the spirit. If it was you wouldn't be able to see it.

But this is what I don't understand. I understand you perfectly PN2002.

i think that mata nui made the island to look like him but he is seperate from the island but he created it

mata nui might be still in capture because think...makuta is still there so mata-nui still sleeps! in the darkness maybe in the kini-nui! the kini-nui may streach all the way under the island and be part of the mining ground in onu-koro! in MNOLG the thick layer of rock in onu-koro is a sun dile that open at four oclock! then mata-nui is free the goldern masks were hiddern down their awaiting the toa but when Takua comes there when they have to find the toa it collapes and brings him into makuta's lare, the kini-nui, the toa mearly drove him away from there and he is weak trying to gain strenth! protodermis now fills the tunnels of the kini-nui not the makuta's evil!

ok just thought more about this and mata nui cannot have a face because he is a spirit so he could be anything like a dog, a rock or even a car! but he may have a form on mata nui (the island) which will be the same because makuta had a form that changed, maybe mata nui has the same power!

all i'm saying is that mata nui can have a face but only in the form of a matoran or toa (he could be the toa of time with more power than the toa nuva and everyother force on mata nui!)
