At the end of Divided we Fall, Tahnok Kal says "The heart of the Toa Nuva's power lies in their villages, steal that power and they will be unable to defeat us!"
Notice it is the Toa Nuva not merely toa, though this is possibly not important. We know that the toa symbols are actual, physical objects, and that they form the key to the Bahrag's cage, and we also saw, in the very first KAL image, Gahlok Kal had the symbol of Lewa under it's arm. Almost as if it was stealing it...
Well, go figure...

Well...the Toa are now the Toa Nuva (though the fan base just calls them Toa cause that's what they still are)
I'm guessing that "The Heart of the Power Lies in the Village" refers to how each Toa must still defend their people.
If the Kal were to destroy the villages and harm the Tohunga...it would be like attacking the Toa's family (and your family is the biggest part of your heart)

Yeah, but to 'steal', suggests an object. I guess if the villages were destroyed, that would be kinda like stealing.

i think this is talking about how the toa's job is to protect everything on mata nui, take that away and they have nothing to fight for.

Exactly right wiseoneofmatanui but what they also mean is that the symbols are the actual key to thier power. like when kohrak-kal took kopaka's symbol he lost his power that is the heart of thier power. The symbol's
ohh yeah and btw gahlok-kal had tahu's symbol not lewa's

THis is a bit off topic...........
I get my comics out of Lego Magazine. On the back of the magazine it says "THE TOA NUVA WILL NEED ALL THE POWER THEY CAN GET, THEY WILL HAVE TO TURN TO THE BOHROK's HELP, BUY THEM BEFORE THEY FALL ASLEEP AGAIN." Or something like that. It could be just a marketing ad............

Well, if the villages were destroyed...
1. There would be no boxors, ussalry, or air force
2. The toa would not have a base
3. The toa would have nothing to fight for
4. A lot of the toa's powers would be gone, probaly.
If they destroy the villages the toa would probaly just surrender to the bohrok and and do... whatever the bohrok's aim is.
