O.K., somebody did complained(I forget who) why they haven't had a Toa-Nuva's sidekick(or changed them), and tell many story about new Matoran. I don't believe it until I see the news today. So, how the Matoran changed their form? Are the Turaga will be change, too?
XK Nuva
1. I think Lego is just giving the matoran hands and a slightly different body structure for movie purposes, like the Toa Nuva.
2.Toa Nuva sidekicks? Tell many story about new matoran? huh.gif I don't understand what you're saying. Can you please clarify?
Powa
uhhhhh....What? That was all mumble jumble to me. For all I know you said to lead a frontal assault on the amry of guinnie pig warriors. Please explain what you saying
Bohrok Awakener
He wants to know how the new Matoran form is going to fit into the story,

'As the Toa Nuva rise, victorious, from the lair of the Bohrok-Kal, the Matoran celebrate peace. However, the Rahkshi awaken, bringing peace to an end. the matoran, not strong enough to face the Rahkshi, merge with the powers of liquid Protodermis, and the Matoran are transformed into new, stronger villagers, with the power to defend Mata-Nui.'

That's my theorie. They might be called the Matornuva or something. And they could be called Jalanuva, Makunuva, Takanuva...

There have indeed been no indications of new Matoran - 'new' meaning a different, Nuva-like form. There have been sightings of Matoran sidekicks who will appear in the MoL, like for instance Hahli, the Hau-wearing Ga-Koronan.
But apart from the sets and possible graphic appearance in the movie, I don't think they'll undergo any radical changes.
The sidekick Matoran are the same as ever, just like in the age before the Nuvas.
My theory so far.
dangerous
maybe it's just matoran aging blink.gif

after all i think i read somewhere that the turaga are village elders

maybe only a select few go thought this process and then take over the old turaga
Bohrok Awakener
Actually, Schizo Kaita, Hahli wears a Kaukau. That's what made her famous.
Kanohi of Indescribable Power
Well my guess is that that is how Lego original invisioned the Matoran to look like, however it was to expensive to give them out like that in the McDonalds promotion so they changed them into the disk slingers that we know and love. Now that the Matoran are being produced in sets they are made how they were meant to be made. And no I don't know why they didn't do this for the Boxor.
DragonMaster2050
I don't think that could possibly be the original idea. They probably had to change them for the animation of the movie. What would've been wrong with just animating them as built out of Lego Bricks?
Chimaira
maybe they wont be at mcdonlds becuse kids who like bionicle (not in bzpower.gif will ask mommy can we go thier they have bionicle then BOOM!! you wont get a chance to get one unsure.gif tongue.gif .
.Jordan.
Yeah, McD's wouldnot want a lot of small peices.
Also, the matoran already had hands, infact, their new forms have less of a "hand", persay.
But with their new hands then can hold those Mallet/Krana Grabber weapons from the after the storm movie, yes they do come with them, look closly.

A jock is a sports player, and he ment joke.

Those arms look kind of better than the old arms, but I prefer the old ones.I just want to know how you build them.
Makuta Nuva
New matoran? huh.gif Are you talking about the ones with new arms that look like jala & takua that are riding pewku and gukko bird? huh.gif
Ang: The Malaysia Chronicler
first, I typed the wrong word. It should be jock, not jock, I forget to check the spelling and post the topic. And second for Makuta Nuva, you are right, we are talking about the matoran who rided the 2003 animals' set.

Edit: Here's the news I mean at this topic first post.
Tokaru
Basically, I'm pretty sure these so-called "Tohunga Nuva" (Again, I REFUSE to call them Matoran) are simply movie representations of the villagers, much like how the Toa Nuva have been altered in appearance for MoL. My major gripe is this: Now that there's new Tohunga coming out, what the frag are we to do with all thos eMcDonalds premiums we fought tooth and nail for?! I have Jala, Huki, Maku, Onepu, Kongu, Matoro, Nuparu and MoC's of Halhi (did I spell that right?), Takua, MNOLG Hafu (with Pakai and custom pick-axe), and my personal Tohunga, Tokaru, and now that there's improved versions coming out, do I have to scrap them all and buy new ones? I mean, I know I don't HAVE to buy the new coppies of them all (should they make them into new versions), but I want to keep up. Now, with the Toa Olda to Nuva conversion, it was cool, because I scrapped all my Olda's for MoC parts. But the McD's promo's are too unique to use as MoC parts. I hope these "new" Tohunga aren't too common in the future, so that our older, more squat Tohunga still have some use. LEt's not allow this to turn into "Survivor: The Mata Nui Series."

::Takua, narrating:: The tribe has voted on who shall be voted off the island next.
::Maku, Huki, Jala, and Matoro are in the background looking nervous. Takua looks over their papers::
::Takua:: ....Huki!
::Huki:: WHAT?! ::shoots a concerned look to Maku.::
::Maku sweatdrops:: ....you snore! ^^;

Let's not vote the "Tohunga Olda" off the island people. Remember, not all of them can swim.
