As Greg F said, the bionicle storyline will continue in more chapters after the (hopefully) defeat of Makuta, starting somewhere in 2004. So what do you hope to happen in this new chapter? I want the Toa Nuva to be some of the main characters, if not the actual ones. It would be so sad to see them go. Anyways, I don't think anybody/creature ages on Mata-Nui (immortal) yet death by purposes other than age can happen.

In chapter 2 maybe it will be a whole new story line.If you read the end of my story(link in sig)maybe, just maybe that'll happen to Mati-Nui and it'll start a whole new storyline on a differnt island.New Characters, new place, new badguys and everything. That would be suprising.....

Hey Gahdok!
I wonder if the Nuva will loose their proto stuff after awhile? Or they get turned back to their old self by Makuta.

Um, I'm guessing that double post was a accident. I don't want a whole new setting and so on, that wouldn't be bionicle. Plus, before I read that bionicle refers to the legend that the matoran belive in, I think I found that in the OLG

Greg also said that the Toa Nuva will NOT change again.
I have no idea what will happen, but the concept art for the 2004 movie (those fish creatures) look pretty cool.

I reckon that at the end of Book 1, Chapter 2003, Mata-Nui wakes up, bringing peace to the island. Makuta dies, the Toa are victorious, and... it just goes on. Same island, same characters, new bad-guys.
