How could the Toa have fallen in tubes their own size that were built just for them? That seems a little... predestinationist to me... They couldn't have fallen in tubes that lowered them like an elevator... It' confuses me. or is that the "one destiny" that was the slogan of the first 6 months of Bionicle?

That's true. It does seem a little odd, but if the toa hadn't been transformed, the chronicle probably wouldn't have continued, so I'm not complaining! Good thought though. I see what you mean. Maybe Mata Nui put them there. Who knows.........

If you notice on the ground in Comic 8 (or whichever one they fell) they stand over 6 Toa-diameter-sized holes. It sounds to me like this was all pre-prepared by somebody, either as a trap by the Bahrag who thought the Protodermis would drown the Toa (in the case they were defeated) or by Mata Nui so they would be able to grow stronger and protect Mata-Nui (the island) from all danger.

I don't get what you are saying. Could you explain more clearly, please?

so Kikaka, you mean the tubes followed the Toa around so they couldn't escape them?

wait. didn't Gali said something like: "This comes from the very heart of Mata Nui!", when the tubes appeared under them.

The key word here, guys, is "pre-destined"... the Toa have a destiny, and it will play itself out. Part of that destiny was to be transformed, although into what even the Turaga were not sure. Think of it this way...
The Bohrok get released too early and menace the island.
The Toa have to stop them, by stopping the Bahrag -- and it turns out there is Exo-Toa armor hidden down below to be used for just that purpose.
The Bahrag get defeated... the Toa get transformed.
Maybe because whoever built those protodermis tubes knew that if there was something powerful enough to release the Bohrok early, the Toa would be facing even greater challenges in the future -- and they would need the power of their Nuva forms.
The first rule of BIONICLE that I learned when I started here is that everything happens for a reason...
