In one of the first nuva pics it shows Tahu emerging from the Protodermis. Behind him are sreatures that look like a mix of crocodiles and Bohrok. These things have not been seen since. Why? What are these creatures?

I believe you'll tink differently on the whole subject if you look at the picture. The eyes are too far inward to be a Kal. It also has these weird horns.

Everybody has their own theory on what they are-I posted a thread yesterday putting forward the possibilty that they might be Exo-Raptors, the alternate version of the Exo Toa. They look to organic to be an actual set though, don't they? Maybe they are the enemies for the movie being made by Miramax (not the MoL, the second, as yet untitled movie).

There is no Exo-Raptor in the story, it's just an alternate model for the exo-toa set. But they look really Bohrok-ish, they look a lot like a Kal, or any other bohrok!

Those are, quite obviously I might add, the Bohrok-Kal. You can see their silver headplate, their eyes, and beside the headplate, are their silver hand-shields. That's why the head looks so flat and wide. I'll try to get a picture to back this up.

No- The Bahrag don't each have red eyes.
And likewise, no other Toa has red eyes other'n Tahu.

All the Rahkshi have red eyes, but the heads are too wide, and the eyes too close together.

I think that they are not-quite nuvafyed(sp) masks.

I think they are Bohrok Kal! You can see the sliver headplate and the silver hands. Ok, they both have red eyes, buttttttttt, I think that's just there as special effects. In Digimon and Pokemon ( Bleeeeeeeeeh ) when you see a dark cave, you see red eyes, till sudenly, the Digimon or Pokemon come out, and then they have black, blue, yellow or green eyes!! Just special effects, looks cool.

i aggree it could be the other toa-nuva. true, tahu is tha only one with red eyes, but tahus mask (infront) could be casting a reddish glow.

Ok some people are saying that these are the Bahrag but they're not the bahrag are still in a cage and when the Toa Nuva got transformed they were transported into the protodermis by tubes far away from the Bahrag cage. Any way I think They Are Bohrak Kal the story said they get released from slimy cages the slime might be protodermis but they are not Bohrok mutated by protodermis they are creatures trapped in protodermis cells

The eyes are too close together to be bohrok.

When i look at that closely it looks like manas coming out of the protodermis.
could the manas return?

Lupas - The one in front has red eyes (Lehvak-Kal), but the other has orange eyes (Gahlok-Kal).

Kuhu - The Lehvak-Kal's eyes are properly spaced. I think the Gahlok-Kal's eyes look close together, but it could just be residual glowing or something. Also, how do you see a Manas? I can't see one in any way, shape, or form.

I think it's just there to make the picture look beter, otherwise it is so empty. I can never be a Bohrok Kal because the shape of the head and eyes are very different then the Bohrok Kal. Or maybe this are the bionicle that will come out in 2004, which is almost impossible cause this picture was made in the begging of 2002 when the Toa Nuva were released. Who thinks the same?

I have one of the Kal. Their headplates aren't like that. Maybe these were prototype Kal

here is what I think. They are ether, the Bohrok kal with there sheild's on their head's like Elzaban said

I never saw the sheilds on their heads before, yeah, they probably are the Kal

of course their Kal. I thought their han-sheilds were horns. It kind of looks that way.

LISTEN UP! They cannot be Kal! The Kal were never formed out of Protodermis so they're not Kal. The Kal, you might know, were around as long as the Bohrok. They just haven't hatched 'till now. I personally think they're the rahkshi or posibly Cadock/Gadock....

That IS NOT Rahkshi Kal Bahrag or the Bohrok non of them! They are not Matoran Toa Turaga ect... They are something new! I saw the wallpaper in Bionicle com at 1280x1024 resolution and you wont belive this IT GOT EYES! Not like Toa they look like more Human!

yes it has eyes!! I said that a while ago! It's got 4 of them!!!
