I was just wondering about the possible ways Takua was banished from Ta-Koro. What do you think? It could be because he changed his mask color to blue. The Ta-matoran would see it as disrespectful to the village. Or maybe he did something bad, and when they banished him they changed his mask to blue to show he had disgraced his village. I want to know what other people think...

Takua was never banished to my knowledge. if he had been, how'd he get into ta-koro in the MNOLG?

No, I think that
A. If Matoran are biologically produced, his mother was Ga-Koronan.
B. He didn't get banished, he just wandered off and got amnesia. Vakama says it, and Takua is the character in the first Game Boy game.

He wasn't banished! he just kept wandering off, and in the first Gameboy game, he took a fall that wiped out his memory, and so he didn't know where he belonged, that's all.

Takua was a Ta-Koran who got banished for his adventurous ways. Vakama said that the Ta-Korans thought he would bring bad luck.

I agree.
I have the 1st GBA game and I beat it like A MILLION TIMES!
He does take a spill. But then he puts the Toa stones in place
so that can't be the problem...

ok, because I study Takua alot, he lost his memory (from the first Gameboy game? I don't got it) and then he places the toa stones in place to bring the Toa to the island. he then finds himself on Ta-Wahi (beginning of MNOLG) and then wanders over to Maku to see what's wrong. My guess is he wandered off, took a beat to the head, then forgot where he belonged, but somehow he remembered he could Lavasurf (AND ITS FUN!

). So Takua did not get banished, but then again, I might be missing something or talking out of my Protodermis, so I don't know...

He took a bump to the head? I must have missed this. If so...then how did he get his memory back?

Takua was banished from Ta-Koro because of his adventerous ways - the Ta-Koronans feared he would bring them ill luck. After he was banished, he traveled Mata-Nui, finding stuff like the Toa Stones and the Turaga's masks and staffs (That's what Vakama meant at the end of the MNOLG). When he placed the Toa Stones on Kini-Nui, an explosion caused him to land on the Ta-Wahi beach, and he lost his memory.
He gets it back by wandering Mata-Nui in the MNOLG and talking to everyone. Swert109 is right - this info came from the GBA game.
And I think he just likes the look of a blue Pakari

Well, um, when he puts the Toa stones back in place, there's a BIG explosion...It sends him flying to the beach in which you start the MNOLG, and he gets amnesia.
That's why you ask everyone dumb questions like "Who is Tahu" or "Who am I" or "Who are you" in the MNOLG, even though you know all this in the GBA.

But didn't one of the turga say that the other tribes think he was trouble because he wanderd around having adventures?

Well I think it's pretty well established that Takua was not banished. However I want to point out that the Matoran thought that it was strange for him to go around having adventures, and because of that were not very friendly to him (sound like hobbits don't they).

I like GoldenOnua's theory on his mask being blue. It is a disgrace to ta-koro.

Poor Takua... getting hit on the head and then not knowing anything else...freezing on Mt. Ihu, then fighting tons of Rahi, and running from Bohrok...Takua has a rough life.

He probably did go a little nuts.
