Okay I'm totally confused with this storyline! So basically there's a heavn like place with a bunch of god's right? Mata Nui, the god of happiness, comes down on the mortal plain and creates the island of Mata Nui. All the villagers worship him, Makuta comes and yada yada. So wh aren't the Toa focussed on trying to find and wake Mata Nui? The Kal still havn't figured out how to brake the protodermis yet and even without elemental power, the toa aren't helpless. Go find Mata Nui and stop the problem with the Kal and Makuta forever! Also, the bohrok supposedly had a purpose. To make the island as it was in the before time or something. So if they accomplished that, then what? Nothing there to rule, use for recreation. The point is?

The point is: Where to find Mata-Nui. Think about it. If finding the 72 masks is very hard already, how you find a person in such big island?(Don't forget, he probaly at underground)

Also, what's the way you want to wake he up, even you find it? Makuta isn't stupid. If he really want a person sleep at very long time, he will ensure that person do so. Maybe the sleeping spell can only broke when Makuta is totally destroyed, but is a bit weird how you destroy destrution, isn't it? So Mata-Nui can wake out, but don't ask me how. smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

Good poin about the masks but think about the comics and the Mata Nui adventure game. In the game, it didn't look like i took that long to get from place to place. Even though it is just the internet and one day could be a cut scene, pay attention to how far everything looked. When you start from the one merchant from the boat, you can see the mountain that leads to Onu Koro. Also in the comics, the toa didn't seem like it took days to find one mask. I think kopaka found a couple in one issue. Now if and or when they found mata nui, that's a good point about waking him up.

no mata-nui is the island the toa were legendary and were to come and save mata-nui who is asleep from a spell and if you can't figure out the rest read the comics
Schizo Kaita
It's rather hard to wake up Mata Nui right now: Makuta's still in hiding somewhere, and untill he is destroyed, Mata Nui will not awaken.
Also, the Bahrag have nothing to do with Mata Nui himself for all we know. Untill we get more information about the Before Time, we have no idea what their vision of the future and the past really is...

EvaMasta174, the comics are only about 12 pages, so don't you think the creators would cut out the boring traveling scenes? Story writers often shorten time to hold on to the story tension.
And about the MNOLG: if you'd have to wait hours before you finally arrive in a Koro, would you still play it?

No, the island I know is quite big, and Kopaka finds a Kanohi in one issue just because Lego wants to speed up times.

I think the toa were supposed to protect the island until Mata-Nui wakes up. That is what I think.

no thats not it. matanui didn't create the island, it was already there, the matoran too, it is just that matanui found the island and the villagers liked matanui so much they named the island after them...

and lego wants the storyline to continue so lego has it so that non of the bad guys die.

Listen, I'm going to give you a straight answer: Sales and Money. The longer the storyline runs, the more money LEGO gets. If the Toa find Mata Nui this early, the storyline has no point. The legend goes on for a couple of a months, members get bored, BIONICLE doesn't become as popular, etc. That enough for 'ya?

If you want Mata Nui come and get him but I'm warning you me, Makuta, and 10,000 Manas are guarding his body and even if you defeat all of us good luck waking him. sly.gif

Umm...Okay,10,00 Manas eh?I have 20,000 Bohrok Kal.Make your move. cool.gif

I agree with Exo-Makuta,if mati-Nui is found this early, what is to be expected of Bionicle? He falls asleep again for no reason?(boy would that be sad. rolleyes.gif )Something has to surprising has to happen and what better way then to put the god of the island to asleep, and if it was awoken that fast I would actually stop liking Bionicle.(probably not but you get my point wacko.gif )

Mata Nui: Just ten more decades, okay? *ZZZZZ... ZZZZZ*
Just can't help myself. Exo-Makuta is right. There's really no point of continuing of Mata Nui is found
and waken up. If he does wake up, Bohrok-kal will probably kill him.

I don't think waking him up would end the series...Due to the oblong facts...(don't ask) I mean There is allof time I want the story of how matanui ended...I mean it is suppoosedly erth right?

No-one said it's supposed to be Earth. huh.gif

No....

Nobody's ever said it takes place on Earth, at all.

I think the group assumption is thus far is that Mata-Nui is a lone island on a massive Ocean. And considering the measurements and research that's been done...it's not some punny island...it's like the Pangea supercontinent....

woa. unsure.gif thats big. If they do find mata nui, he'd probably be underground and in an Onua bio it said that with his skates he'd be really important in upcoming events. Underground movement biggrin.gif So if they do find him, they'd probably wake him by elemental powers or maybe the mask of light does something. If they hypothetically do manage to find and wake him, makuta's terror would end. Mata nui would most likely explain how to send him back to the heavens and keep him there. Or they could both leave and makut wouldn't be jealous anymore. So if you can't destroy em, get rid of em.

ok, first when they do find Mata Nui, it'll be when they are done with the series itself, after 30 or so comix, 20 games on XBox and PS2 (oh we wish it was on XBox...) and a library of priced to own Videocassettes...not to mention Bi-Costal themeparks dubbed BioWorld....I also forgot Mata Magazine... anyway, they story will end, but not yet...and Makuta will never die, if he is like a God, he can't die, just become stronger... infected.gif

Ok try using your imaginations here and forget about the money, continuing the storyline, and all that stuff. Just pretend you were the toa. I'd be spending my time on a powerfull defence for all the villages. Then I'd gather the rest of the toa and turaga and meet in one of the villages. Then you'd figure, "hmmmm. how do we eliminate all possible threats? We couldn't destroy Makuta so how do we get rid of him? I know! Maybe we can kill off every trace of Bohrok, Bahrag, Bohrok Kal etc. then look for Makuta again. He's ###### because we didn't worship him. Mata Nui's asleep so why not pay respects? If he try's to enslave us, get the toa to kick some but and hold back all the minions etc." All I'm saying is that it would make more sense if the toa would focus on going around the obvious threats, and try to find some wayto oust Makuta or calm him down.
Blademaster36
The thing is that being a god Makuta is far more powerful than the toa so they wouldn't be able to wake mata-nui even if they found him which might be ard being that he might not be in the matirial dimention. The mystery of the borok and the barag will be reveled but for now before time is somthing that will have to wait for a later time
EvaMasta174
If Makuta is way more powerful than the toa, why did he run in the first encounter?
