Ok, to the chase. If my memory serves me right, on the Mata Nui adventure game there is a worker some were in onu koro that when you click on him, a text bubble appears and he says "It's our job to mine the protodermis!" or something of the sort. This probaly explains why Onua Identifies the substance very quick. Now, I wonder what they used it for all this time? Post your response here.

I never played the MNOLG, but I remeber people saming that they used
protodermis as a currency, like gold, cause its shiny and rare.
and I think it transformed the toa, because there was high amounts of it

I've heard that there's 2 types of protodermis. There's a solid type with is used like gold and such and then there's the liquid kid which changes the moleculare struckture. There.

they probably used it as currency{as you said}, or to create more powerful weapons. Though i doubt they realized the amazing power it held in large amounts.
