I need answers to questions. They are all below.

1: What has happened to the Toa, now when Takanuva is the new hero? Are they dead?
2: Who is Takanuva anyway?
3: What is the Mask of Light?
4: What role does the Mask of Light play?
5: And what about the Bohrok Kal and the Rakhshi?

I've tried to follow the storyline, but it all somehow slumped around and now I can't orient myself. What is happening in the Bionicle world? What is going on? Somebody help me catch that thread again!

Nothing happened to the Toa. Except for the fact that when they were in the protodermis it formed their armor and changed up their masks and legs and stuff

We need a mod here please.

All I know is that the Toa went into protodermis chambers and came out with new apearance and new powers the rest I don't know.

most of the questions you ask, i don't know.
i think many people won't know the awnsers for those questions

well, the Toa had captured the Bahrag and "went" into Protodermis chambers, when they came out they became Toa Nuva, then they splitted up.
The Kal are here now and are stealing the Nuva symbols from the Toa N.
these symbols contain the essence of the elemental powers of the Toa N.
Because the Toa N. have no elemental power, their masks are turning grey
the Toa N. now must defeat the Kal and get their symbols back.
the MOL belongs to the TOL and , he (TOL) is part of the movie: The MASK OF LIGHT
the Rahkshi are the new enemies after the KAL

takanuva is the ToL, right? the MoL i think, is the "key" so to speak, to the ToL. we know that the Bohrok Kal are after the Nuva symbols to free the Bahrag. that's about all i can tell you. hope i helped!

With the information currently available to us, we still can't answer your questions! We can only guess at this point. We'll just have to wait until the movie comes out, I guess.
