There is an island near Rapa Nui(Easter Island) called Moto Nui. Anyways, it looks a lot like Mata Nui. If anyone tells me how to post pics(I have a Kodak DX3600 Zoom Digital Camera) I will post.

Well, your asking the wrong guy, I don't know how to post pics, but three things, wrong forum, you posted this topic three times, and you have to have pics while posting things like this. You should PM someone so they can tell you how to post pics.

Off Topic:
To Post an image... if you are using an atlas (ie a book) then
1 take the picture with your digi cam,
2 connect it to your PC.
3 Save the picture to you hard drive
4 go to Brickshelf and either sign up or go to your gallery
5 upload the image to your gallery.
6 On BZP when replying, go to the IMG button.
7 paste the address to the image on brickshelf into the IMG window.
8. Click reply and alls well.

if you are using a media atlas (ie encarta interactive atlas)
1. go to the screen you need.
2. press the PRINT SCREEN button on your keyboard.
3. go to paint or something similar and paste the image into the program,
4. repeat steps 4-8 for the rest.

On Topic:
LEGO did take all the ideas for BIONICLE from lots of other cultures and legends, so why not the name for the island, which they got from Rapa Nui (otherwise known as Easter Island), as there is not a Moto Nui as far as I can tell within several thousand miles of Easter Island.

Also Mata-Nui does not exist, it is made up by LEGO.

Nobody lives on Moto Nui. It is a tiny, uninhabited island just off the coast of Rapa Nui (Easter Island). I should have pics, or at least links, up soon. My apologies for triple-posting, my PC said that there was an error and that the topic was not posted.

Where the heck did you get this info. I an a globe freak and Rapa Nui is one of my favorite islands. I even won a NatGeo contest on Rapa Nui, and I have never heard of an island named Mata Nui besides in the BIONICLE universe.

Oops. It is called Motu Nui. It is rarely listed in any atlases, but if you have National Geographic's Atlas of the World Seventh Addition, it is there. On the SW of Rapa Nui. I took pics, they will soon be up.

PS I also have some web-related non-atlas pics of the island itself. I will post those, or at least links.

There's a topic just like this in GD. Anyway, there is a tiny islet named Motu-Nui near Rapa-Nui, but there is no Mata-Nui on Earth. This rest of this topic should continue there.

Erm, Biological Matorans?
If there is a Mata-Nui on Earth, people could go there wanting to see Tahu but get kicked off by the real inhabitants. Or it could just be a deliberate 'typo' of Moto-Nui.
