Full Version: Makuta...

QB.
I would like to make a theory concerning Makuta and his forms.
If any of you have got the old Toa miniCD, you will know that Makuta is said to have many forms. Well, we already know about three. His Matoran form, the big tentacle-ridden thing, and his new Rahshki-esk form.

Well if you look at this picture from the new MoL trailer

You can see a pair of green eyes looming over his new form, AND if you look closely, you can make out the shape of an infected Kanohi Hau Olda.

Well. My thoery is that this huge infected Hau is the visual representation of Makuta's spirit. This is the source of all the Makuta-related evil (ie. the Rahi, Rahshki etc..) and the physical forms of Makuta are just manifestations of Makuta.

For Makuta to be defeated (which WILL be in a long long time), the Toa Nuva and any other help they get in the later storyline, will have to destroy the spirit of Makuta, using some means that we do not yet know about.

Post your thoughts on my new theory.
QB.
sorry for the double post but its neccessary.

Makuta may only be in the first book. I don't know what there is to say though.

Good Idea. I wondered what was with the Infected Hau thingy. biggrin.gif

No offence, but the whole defete his spirit thing is a little far fetched...But it could happen, (Knowing Lego it will!)
But I think the Hau thing is just to show Makuta's symbol, the infected.gif But I could, and am probably wrong psychotwitch.gif

The reason I think this is that if you think back to the original legend, it says:
"After an eternal struggle, Makuta cast a spell, sending Mata-Nui into a deep sleep. Only by defeating Makuta, this spell will be lifted and the island of Mata-Nui will be free forever."

So if Makuta is defeated this early in the Bionicle series of books, then there will be no reason for the Toa to defend the island, thus finishing the struggle.

dude that is an awsome theory..like the best one yet...and it makes sense considering lego is whacko.

Wow, you certanly put some thought into this.
I think you are probably correct, but how can you be sure its a hau? I think Xavier posted some clearer pics of the movie trailer, I will try to post one for you.

Edit: Ok, I found it. Here:

It really IS a hau! OMG! I think you are onto something. Letme ask what GregF says. Until proff against this theory is given, I fully belive this. Very nice thinking!

Good idea L0TR. I would like professional (ie GregF) opinions on my theory.

Ok, I PMed him.
I hope he can check it out.
Again, that is a REALLY good theory!

Heres what he said to me:

Well, it is certainly an interesting theory.. I can't really tell you if it is right or wrong, because I am sure there are things about the background of Makuta that I don't know. I can tell you that you will learn more about him in the movie.

Kooler than kool! I SOOO look foward to fall!
