It's certainly possible... we don't know what the lifespan of a Matoran or a Toa is, or what is considered "old." It may be that once a Toa fulfills his or her destiny, they evolve into something else... I think you will start seeing a lot of answers to this sort of thing over the 2004-2005 span.
so once a toa fulfills his or her destiny then they are transformed into something else.... and does this mean that the turaga were once something relativly (sp?) close to a toa?

Just report the other two if you want them closed. But I don't think the toa will "evolve" into Turaga, and according to the Legend, the Turaga were always Turaga, as Toa were previously unnecessary. And I really do think it unlikely for a warrior to shrink and suddenly become a priest instead.

Or maybe something happens, turning the Toa into
weaker-than-Nuva form, beggining another quest.
Or turning them into Turaga, and guiding other Toa,
or even leading the villages (current ones) into war
with other villages. (what, I can dream can't I!) smile.gif

Now that i think about it, Stargate SG-1 pops up. The Toa May 'acsend' to another plane of existence, with new foes to fight.
